Market City Tavern reviews
51 Staff lovely and helpful. Excellent value for money. Food great, Not super noisy and no giant T. V.screens in dining section. Even an area for children to play, with close supervision.
Couldn't recommend it more highly. Telling my friends. And it's close to home. Bonus
Mediocre food if you don't include the fish and chips. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is good.
Only 1 star for the POOR MAN THAT KEPT COMING BACK TO SEE IF HE COULD HELP.
The food was disgusting
Overpriced.
Burnt.tasteless.
New owners is obvious.
The biggest attraction is gone
The salad bar that sat in the middle of the pub
Will not be fighting to get into this place EVER.
Took ages to receive our average food. Waited an hour for food with not many people in the restaurant. We won't be coming back.
Went today and had the cheese sliders it was the worst meal I have ever had the meat patty was un eatable
The bun was burnt did tell the staff and the response was we will have to adjust the recipe won’t be going again
Went for a woodfire pizza but was disappointed. The pizza was like Dominos pizza, salty. Really sad to see that it advised woodfire but didnt deliver
Mothers day lunch, garlic prawns were best meal, 12 for $34 and came with slices of Turkish bread, we ordered side of chips which were very soggy, prawns might be from shark Bay, but bit pricey. Chicken parmigiana did not have much sauce, chips were not cooked and soggy. Roast was average too but only $19.95.
Unfortunately won't be in a hurry to return here
Stopped in here for some lunch. I had the chicken parmy and she had the pot pie. We both rated our meals very highly. The parmy was delicious and the pot pie was so tasty.
We both highly recommend Market City Tavern for a pub lunch.
Never again, the food was average and the hygiene is questionable, the staff were not wearing masks and did not seem to care about the Covid rules that apply to the rest of us.
We have been to Market City a few times, this time we went with a couple friends, as per usual the staff and food was great the flies on the other hand beyond, this actually made the visit so unpleasant that the service and food quality went out the door.
Always good friendly service.got a good menu.meals are always good quality and served within a reasonable time after ordering.
Great guiness pie lovely staff, good prices and clean premises. Definitely recommend for lunch
Me and my family had a great night at Market City Tavern. They have great food for low prices and Friday night karaoke was a blast. I would certainly recommend it to anyone.
Decided to try out the Market City Tavern today for lunch, BIG mistake. You get attitude not customer service. The Tavern wasn't even half full. Half way through lunch and still no cocktails. Ended up cancelling the pina colada. Very disappointed and definitely not going back.
Best pub menu south of the river, food is delicious, staff are super friendly, such happy vibes going here, love this place, Eat drink get merry the MCT crew look after you
Great roast dinner buffet, only small issue was we ordered 3 cappuccinos and a tea and you could have used them to give the baby a bath, talk about Luke warm
Meal was beautiful and alot of it! Varied Menu to suit different tastes. Staff attentive and friendly. Would definitely visit again.
Took far too long to get orders out.we reserved seating a week ago to celebrate two family members birthdays, one of which was an 18th birthday.took over an hour to get our food, the person that ordered last got theirs first, the first people that ordered didn’t get any food before we left. No one came out and spoke to us about the hold up and we had to go up and speak to them multiple times.all i ordered was a side of wedges and some steamed veggies and for some reason it would’ve taken over an hour to get if i hadn’t left before then to get something that simple.in the end they blamed us and said we could’ve done better when their customer service was poor and didn’t get our food out.in the time we were waiting the table next to us was seated, ordered, served, ate, got doggie bags, and then left. While the actions of one family member was rash which resulted in us being asked to leave, we were already talking amongst ourselves if we should just leave and ask for a refund, the thing that annoyed that particular member was that he witnessed even more people inside that were there after us being served food similar to what we ordered.frankly this whole experience was pathetic.do better.p. S don’t go there if if you are vegetarian, vegan or gluten free.as there was barely anything for vegetarians to be able to eat (too be fair not even sure if the cheese was animal rennet free), so not even sure if there was anything vegetarian there. I saw no gluten free options nor any vegan options.besides a sad sounding salad of course, which one would hope by 2021 they would be doing better
We booked a week ago a table of 18 they knew we were coming and ordering meals. After 10 mins my father who ordered his food last got his meal while 17 of us waited. We waited a further 30 mins till a couple of us ordered entrees we got them in five minutes. However our main order still hadn't arrived and yet tables that were seated after us ordered after us had gotten their meals eaten them and left. The service was disgusting. No explanation of why our meal was so long, no apologies, actually tried to blame us. An hour for food? Including orders of wedges and sides. If I could give them zero stars I would. Don't eat here
