Margaret River Mouth Viewpoint reviews
37Beautiful place but leave your dog at home. No dog access allowed at the river entrance beach.
Very picturesque, and a nice spot to watch the sunset from. People swim her, but the water is freezing, even in summer!
This is the place where the river meets the ocean. Great place for family and lot of fun activity.
Beautiful spot, just be sure you’re willing to get wet going through the river if you want a beach walk!
Excellent place to freshen up in the morning and enjoy "roaring of the sea" with morning view. The toilet facility is great and also has fresh drinking water. Lots of parking with sea view.
Where Margaret river meets the sea. Very near to Surfers Point. Good place to swim in the sweet river water or salty sea. Also can rent paddle boarda ans kayas, to go up river. Normally lots of families with kids go
Great for little ones to swim in the river mouth. Very flat for skimboards or paddle boards and plenty of parking
The place where the Margaret River meets the sea. A nice place to watch the sunset and enjoy the waves.
We visited mid morning on a Monday. Car park wasn’t busy, and the view was spectacular! Highly recommend
Most spectacular sight, watching where the river meets the ocean.really really fabulous definitely recommend if peeps that way to go see it for themselves.
Toilets are clean and well stocked.
Fantastic location for motorhome.
Magnificent view.
Accessible for people with disabilities
My partner and I stopped by the Margaret river mouth as a last minute sightseeing decision and we were so impressed with the beautiful views it has to offer. The water in the river mouth is calm and the beach is beautiful. Would definitely recommend you stop here if you’re heading down south
Great sandy beach, wave is good for body surf and board. Public amenities; parking, toilets, showers and even a drinking fountain. The ocean side maybe rough for the little one or inexperienced swimmer, however the river side is calm and water is refreshing. Guided tour via canoe is also available.
One of the most stunning places in margaret river over the summer.good place for young kids/toddlers to play because of the shallow waters.
I dropped in for a look in-between locations to see how it would go for fishing from a kayak. The mouth is very close to the carpark but I'm not sure how easy it would be to get a kayak there from the carpark steps. There are kayaks and canoes for hire.
Another one of Australia's great beaches. The rock pools provide an alternative to the classic beach which is definitely something not to miss. A range of unique formations with the typical feel of Australia.
It's a great spot along the Cape to Cape walk track with great surfing waves in the right seasons and beautiful expanse of beach where the river ends and the beach begins
This spot is amazing for the families. Ocean Surf at the beach is rough and dangerous, particularly at the time of a full moon. So the river mouth itself is a great place to cool of with the kids. It’s well protected from the rough surf and wind. It’s flat and calm and warmer than the ocean water.
Excellent area for kayaking, snorkeling, fish and swimming. Kids will enjoy chasing the fish with net if you have them.
There are good public toilets, outdoor showers and lifeguards around and some parking. You can also hire kayaks to paddle down the river.
The river is a great place to kayak or paddleboard the ocean is amazing if your a world class surfer ️. Another beautiful part of WA
