Main Street Ryu Japanese Food X Liquor reviews
68 Their foods were quite nice, but average. I thought $49 for 18 pieces of sashimi was way overpriced.
Their original soft drinks were tasty and reasonable price.
The restaurant was pretty busy, but there were not enough wait people.
It was so dark inside of the restaurant that I couldn't read the menu.
We probably won't go back.
I ordered the fiery kutsa chicken. The meal was awesome with nice flavour and great taste. Just wish the serving was bigger for $16. The meal came out cold after 20 minutes wait as there was not enough waitress to run the busy shop but the meal still tasted great. Recommend hire more waitress to help get food out in time and increase meal servings slightly
Lost count the number of times I have been here, and the food never ceases to amaze! Great atmosphere and food that just bursts with flavour every time.
Another great experience yesterday, super service, great food, and I also saw the chef preparing a salmon sushi specialty, a master chef indeed and taking great pride in his work. Good choice of well priced Sake.
We came tonight and have been before, never disappoints. Service is outstanding staff are so friendly and efficient. Food was exceptional as alway, defiantly check out this place if you love modern japanese, will be back again soon.
Stunning food. Staggered in off the plane on a Monday night and scored food minutes before they closed. We had kimchi edamame (delicious), cauliflower popcorn (delicious), and a couple of other good dishes with beer and umeshu. It was great to have it to ourselves in the Time of Covid. Great staff. Nice work, Perth! Come here!
So we went for a money spend in the city from Jimmy Choo to Maje Paris and so on.all this brought the hunger on and we weren't particularly keen on eating at a restaurant however we just wanted to grab a sandwich at our favourite place in the CBD however the business changed hands and the lady showed me some pre-prepared sandwiches and goodies in a fridge.very disgusting. So we made our way to this new Ramen place and on the way we see this Japanese restaurant. Lemme tell you if there were 6 stars they would score it for service, food and ambience. We had the spicy seafood Ramen mix.man man man! @ that broth is to die for and the freshly made sushi too good. In a no time the place was packed and the drink that had me going was the yuzzu fizzy.we loved it to bits and will defs return any time.a must to try and thanks to the barman/waiter who served us.a surprise packet for Perth.
Due to road works in the city, we were 10 minutes late for our reservation at 2pm, waitress called at 2.04pm but with 2 children I missed the call. Reached the restaurant at 2.12pm for them to tell us they closed the kitchen at 2pm and they were not happy to serve us. I would never ever recommend this place. If they were not happy to have people dine why would you allow a booking at 2pm in the first place. Absolutely appalling customer service, inconsiderate and selfish for wasting my time. Manager should have at least come out to apologise but instead sent an innocent girl to do this work. Unacceptable in this hospitality environment. Zero stars for this place
6 of us had dinner there last night. We gave the omakase (trust the chef) a shot and we left very impressed and very full. Highly recommend this place. Compliments to the chefs!
The food, staff and service all contribute to making MSR as amazing as it is.
I'm a huge fan of the Nori Tacos too. Definitely a must whenever here
Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere here. The karage sliders were so yum and loved the sake we paired with our dinner. Our waitress was good too however there was one downside. After we finished our dinner, they didn’t clear our plates or ask if we wanted dessert which was a shame as we were having dinner for my birthday. We eventually got up to pay and said we wanted dessert but no one took our dinner plates away or asked if we wanted dessert.
Food was BEST loved it so much, very kind server she was lovely, good food for a reasonable price!
The atmosphere is excellent, the Sushi samon with avocado is very fresh and delicious. The customer service experience is fantastic with excellent hospitality. Thanks very much.
Very very good Japanese food in the city, great drink selection and staff service is quick and friendly.good for a nighttime session with your friends
I wanted to try it so the experience itself was worthwhile. Caught the business not a very busy time and it's nice that there is Japanese music in the background. Both items were nutritious and delicious in the same of both. This place uses paper straws fyi.
Volcano ramen had the looks only, just had no flavour, few bits of seafood, and no chilli even through medium had 3 chilli on menu. Drinks were also pricy too. Chips were tasty and crispy was probably the only highlight!
Very yummy food. Of course, pricey end, however worth it for a night out. You might not be full from just the food, different experience from a usual restaurant!
Really great range and great drinks. I had three menu items: squid karaage, mushroom taco and volcano. Was a great combo and I loved the extra spicy taste perfect balance between heat, spice and flavour with great seafood involved. There were also great drinks alcoholic and non alchoholic
Superbly different. Japanese fusion with unique twists on classic Japanese.plenty of options for veg/vegan. Highly recommend.
We had a lovely dinner and walked out full and slightly tipsy after a few of the Sapporo imperial pints. Cool venue with a range of contemporary Japanese dishes and some classics. The nigiri was so fresh. The duck meatballs and spatchcock were something different and delicious all the same
