10/10 highly recommend!

Madame ma has been the best thing that ever happened to Lappy (mini dachshund with separation anxiety). Lappy totally loves going to daycare to play with all the other dogs and getting so much attention from all the lovely people working there. The play area is very friendly for a dachshund as they have slides to go up and down which is great for a dachshund's long back. Thank you all for showering lappy with so much love and care especially with feeding him his lunches when all he wants to do is play. I really appreciate all your hard work and efforts! Thank you!  "

Unreliable. Cancelled two bookings last minute, the first over the phone and the second when I arrived for my dog's grooming appointment.

Love taking our dog for his grooming to madame ma's. The staff are all friendly and helpful and he gets a play with the other dogs while waiting for us to pick him up.

One of the positives about Madame Ma’s is that they’re easy to book into without a long wait time for an appointment. I’ve also been happy with the outcome of most grooms, however, more recently, not the price of them. Today, I had a terrible experience and as a result, I would like others to be aware of how Marian (the owner) tries to charge her returned customers.

In short, there is complete inconsistency with the pricing at Madame Ma’s and based on my personal experience, they will try to charge additional fees at their own discretion with no warning or prior discussion with the customer.

The last time my dog was in for a groom, Marian told me I would be charged an extra $10 on top as they did an “Asian fusion” style groom, something that was not discussed when I dropped him off. Whilst I wasn’t pleased with the unexpected charge, I paid it and in hindsight, I should have questioned it further.

Today, when I picked my dog up, the lady behind the counter tried to charge me extra fees without any explanation for the higher amount. When I questioned why the groom was higher then the advertised prices of the comfort clip, it was only then explained that it was due of how “matted” my dog was. I was told there was an extra $20 fee (on top of $95) for de matting even though the groomer that consulted with me on drop off had looked at him thoroughly and did not mention the possibility for any extra fees or time required for his groom. He was not matted and his groom included a complete shave leaving very little fur on his body.

Marian (the owner) heard me disputing the cost for the de matting and she proceeded to tell me that there was a $20 fee for my dogs “behaviour” whilst being groomed. (She pointed to the price board where it noted a $20 behavioural fee). Marian went on to tell me that he’s a very difficult dog and always has been. I found this to be embarrassing for her considering she has never had a conversation with me about my dogs behaviour and we have been returned customers at Madame ma’s for over a year and a half including 7 or 8 grooms. Assuming his behaviour was or has been difficult in the past, I feel that if there was a problem, Marian should have had an upfront and honest conversation about it a lot sooner which would have then allowed me to make the decision if I wanted to return and if I could afford the extra fees.

My thought is that perhaps the problem is not my dogs behaviour or the state of his fur but more so the management of Madame Mas and the poor communication and unprofessional approach towards its customers. Today’s experience left me feeling pressured to pay an amount that was completely unexpected and only explained after the fact. I think they just expected me to pay a lot more with no questions asked and I wonder how many other customers find themselves in similar position and just “pay it anyway”. I feel that asking these questions resulted in rudely being told that I should go elsewhere in the future.

My advice to others- I was told that de matting can cost upto $60 more on top of your groom and the behavioural fee is $20 so be aware that what you think might be a $95, reasonably priced groom could easily blow out well over $100 with no consultation. I will personally be avoiding this business at all “cost”. I now feel that the 3-6 week wait at other grooming salons is for a reason and I’m looking forward to a more positive experience elsewhere.

Fantastic Doggy Day Care

Albus absolutely loves Madame Ma's doggy day care. He can't get himself in there fast enough! Loves the people, the other doggies and the 'fetch':). Albus attends daycare once a week and is exhausted for at least 48 hours after! Thank you for taking such good care of him.

As they say, it takes a village.

And Marian and the rest of the family at Madame Ma's are that village. From day one, Miss Ruby was at home with her extended family. She continues to make friends both 'furry' and more of the human variety, to be stimulated through their themed-play each week. Like many, we both work full-time, so being able to drop Ruby to daycare a couple days a week is great; socialisation is so important for young puppies and it gives us flexibility when juggling other commitments. You don't feel guilty either when you receive videos and photos of how much fun your pup is having on the day! Marian is really personable and has great attention to detail; I feel she goes the extra mile, which you gain a sense of soon as you step foot in the beautiful oasis. I always recommend Madame Ma's as a godsend every chance I get.

My 5yo furry boy had such a great time meeting new friends on his first day at Madame Ma's, and of course he passed the temperament trial too. He received lots of love and attention from the team there! Love that it's fully indoor and it's like a doggie heaven for our fur babies to have fun and being looked after the whole day. Would definitely recommend this place and signing up for their membership too!

Perfect Doggie Daycare Experience!
My miniature dachshund, Chip, has been attending Madame Ma's since it opened and has a wonderful experience every time he visits. All of the staff are so kind, calm and nurturing. The venue is spacious and welcoming and always sparkling clean. And the West Perth location is so convenient for city workers. I can't recommend Madame Ma's highly enough!

Highly recommend Madame Ma's Doggie Daycare. We recently started taking our West Highland Terrier puppy. She loves it there and gets a good mix of play and rest. Staff are very professional and welcoming. The premises are clean and well fitted out with separate rooms for dogs of different sizes and temperaments. Instagram videos of the dogs playing during the day are also great to see. CBD location and on site parking is great if you work in the City. Highly recommend.

I have been really happy and impressed with Madame Mas and all the people working there. The staff are fantastic and my lil guy loves coming in. The centre is always clean and they do a great job grouping the dogs together based off of size, temperament. Thanks so much everyone:)

We have just finished our ‘pre 12 week puppy socialisation class’ and our Betsy is doing so well. We have another (19 month old) dog at home so its important that she is socialised with other smaller dogs and learns how to play appropriate. She has learnt how to sit, stay, crawl and ‘look at me’ which has really helped at home with dual training.

The premises are great, the booking system is easy and reminders sent each week. The puppies of all breeds are all so happy and loved and Nat is AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND! She speaks “doggo” perfectly and we have all learnt so much. We will be continuing to the ‘after 12 week puppy class’ and look forward to getting Nat for some 1: 1s after.

My timid little fluffy had his trial today and what a place. I was disappointed it was only for dogs - I would have loved to play there for the day. All the staff are beautiful, the daycare is a peaceful and happy place. If your fur baby is looking for a gentle, loving and welcoming place to play, I can't recommend Madame Ma's highly enough

This is the best place ever you can bring your dog to spend the day. Your dog will be happy with so much play, cuddle and love. Marian and the staff are amazing!

I hate leaving bad reviews but just felt like this was exceptionally bad service. We called ahead to schedule a deshed, nail clipping/filing and a shampoo/dry for our 2year old labrador. The main reason for booking was that our regular salon was booked out until end of Feb but having read the reviews we decided to give this place a shot.
We dropped him off around 12pm and picked him up at about 2.30pm. Reason for this review:

1) When we walked into the shop to drop off Ashy, we noticed there are two employees chatting to the left side, they noticed us, made eye contact, turned around and proceeded to ignore us. I walked up the the counter and pressed the bell 2x, they looked at me and proceeded to chat and laugh while still ignoring us. I literally had to go over to one of them and ask if they could help. At that point one of then went and got the person in charge of reception. I understand that reception may not be their job, but it's just plain rude not to acknowledge a customer and really bad costumer service.

2) His nails were barely clipped.barely, all different lengths and not filed at all. I pointed out that there were visible hangnails sticking out of the sharp edges left by the clipping. They then proceeded to get a tool and try and sand them down while I held down my dog. After doing two digits they stopped as another costumer walked in. Simply looked rushed without much care, also bad form to tell your costumer that you filed a dogs nails down when you clearly did not (we specifically requested this too as we have an elderly grandmother who has frail skin prone to rips and tears).

3) The deshed.there was really no deshed. They brushed some fur into a bowl and showed it to me (less than the amount as we usually get while brushing him). This is not a deshed! When we take Ashy to his regular groomer he does not shed for at least a week. Literally does not shed, because they brush his outer and under coats. So after taking him home we had to brush him again ourselves because he was still shedding. So really there was no point in doing the deshed.

4) The shampoo. When I called to book I explained that our dog goes to the beach often and has a red ring left on his fur from the collar. I asked if this could be washed away with a good shampoo. They explained that they use a bleaching shampoo and it would help remove the red stain. Upon bringing him home we noticed the stain is still there.

Afterthought: We paid $96 for this service, in my opinion it was definitely not worth the cost and we will be taking our dog to a different groomer from now on. Way overpriced for this level of service.

Just in reply to your reply:

1) The two people chatting and laughing were definitely both employees as they were both inside the grooming area. One was a woman who was grooming a small dog (she was holding grooming tools) and the other was a man who went to get the receptionist when I finally asked for help. There is absolutely no chance that one of them was a customer unless you allow for people to groom their own animal.
Perhaps you should explain the importance of customer service to you employees instead of trying to make it seem like your customers didnt really see what they actually saw.

2) My dogs nails were literally all different lengths (this has never happened at any other dog salon) and I even pointed out to you the hangnails that were clearly left over. You then attempted to file my dogs nails down in front of me without success (my dog wouldn't hold still). How is it possible that you filed down my dogs nails and left hangnails, sharp edges and then couldnt hold down my dog to file down the sharp edges that you left? Its 100% clear that this was rushed and wasnt prioritized even though we requested for this to be done when we made the appointment.
3) We have had our dog deshed for the past 2 years and it has always been very beneficial. Everytime he comes home from the groomer he literally doesnt shed for a couple of weeks. Why is it only your desheding made no difference at all?

We are super happy to be part of the Madame Ma’s family! The staff are fantastic.caring, knowledgeable and professional. Their genuine enthusiasm and excitement when the dogs arrive is lovely to see! They know each dog personally and treat them as their own. For the doggos, there are lots of activities, enrichment, and areas to relax with friends. Really convenient location near the freeway, and the premises is just beautiful and custom renovated. Highly recommended with a double paws up from Dolly!
