I came to see Donatus late last year, I was reluctant to say the least, like most people i didn't think I needed it, this was my first counselling experience and I am glad I did. It has completely changed my life, my mindset and my mental health.

Donatus gave us the skills to the see the problem from both sides.
He put in the time to help us work through the problems and taught us the strategies to communicate effectively. I have been able to use this framework/skills successfully in personal situations and at work in conflict resolution.

I highly recommend Donatus as he is prepared to spend time working with you to learn about yourself and have better relationships for life.

Where do I start? Well this was the worst idea I had. I trusted a recommendation before really doing my own research. Donatus is the wrong person to help you in a relationship, save yourself the $360 for a session where he speaks over you, does most the talking, uses metaphors that are common place that go on for about ten to fifteen minutes. Sings a simon and Garfunkel song to your partner. Ignores you and spends most his time on your partner. Doesn't ask you anything about your relationship other than what are some issues. Uses the same repeated phrases from the blogs on his page like every couple is 50/50 (no they are not). Tells you long winded stories about his life and the life of his extended family. Gives you common sense advice. Uses mirroring which any therapist would do. For someone with 42 years experience there wasn't a single thing that impressed me or gave me the confidence that he could help. Also the office is a back room at their house. If I could give negative stars I would. I felt it in my gut he didn't like me for speaking my mind. May I say there's some narcissistic traits there? Please do your research call first get an idea of what you want ask clear questions about what the steps are what service is provided with any therapist. I wish I could get a refund for this service but alas all I can do is warn others. I know that there will be a response to this comment that's half a*sed filled with empty regrets and apologies. I do not need that. I need people to find someone to actually help them. Going to get help for your relationship is so delicate and such a sensitive thing you must find the right person to guide you and he is not it. Keep this in mind people can pay for reviews and get people to post BS for marketing. There are two comments on here that show the truth. I hope this helps. I hope couple's steer clear and find someone who will actually help you.

Didn’t help what so ever with anything just pointed my wife and I in the direction of getting a divorce also has strange things and theories such as my sister are not doing very well financially because my parents have a bad relationship even though they have a fantastic relationship and have been married 36 years, apparently aboriginals steal because there mothers drink alcohol while there pregnant makes no sense
