I'm finding Donatus to be instrumental in my healing journey. I have previously seen several other therapists, but foumd it difficult to trust and open up. He is kind and knowledgeable, and makes me feel at ease in our sessions. Highly recommended!

My partner and I have gone for 3 couple therapy sessions at Life Focus with Donatus, and 3 individual sessions for myself, and I am continuously in awe of how Donatus has the knack to grasp the ineffable senses of the body in need and string your convoluted thoughts into simple, intelligible sentences—42 years of experience, that's why. We felt safe, cared for, heard, and understood. And because he understands and he empathises, he knows exactly what to say and thence how to help: his manner is direct and frank. We get so much more than we think we would after each appointment. Right after our first session, we felt thoroughly encouraged and hopeful for the betterment of ourselves individually and as a couple.

From prior personal experience and various feedback from friends, I understand that it is rare to connect with therapists. I had seen 2 different counsellors a few years ago and had little to no progress, therefore relinquishing the thought of seeking professional help again. Donatus had us yearning for more sessions together just after one visit and we have booked in (couple and individual sessions) every week since. Many years ago my husband and I came to see Patricia because we realised that we loved each other but couldn't do it on our own and needed help. From the first moment we met Patricia we knew we had hit the jack pot. We started with couples counseling and then went onto join her group therapy sessions. Patricia has helped us learn so much about ourselves and each other and has been instrumental in helping and developing our relationship not only with each other but with our children, family and friends. I have known Patricia for more than 16 years after being referred to her during a traumatic time of my life. I had known for years that I had had some trauma growing up and had been triggered by a miscarriage into a complete meltdown. Once meeting Patricia, I started individual therapy and then my husband and I went for a few sessions before joining group therapy with Patricia. This has been a life changing experience and I could not recommend Patricia more highly. Donatus has helped us navigate a relationship issue many years ago, without his kindness, knowledge and many years experience we would not have survived that period together.
More recently I called upon his help again as I was struggling with all the issue’s going on around and within us. It’s a work in progress but he shares the tools to help me navigate to a brighter future.

I am grateful to have been referred to Donatus. I had an illness and a medical procedure which left me fighting for my life. I was anxious and depressed. I could not cope and it was affecting my children and wife, who mean the world to me. A friend said to go and see Donatus he will help you. So I did and never looked back. It is the best thing I ever did. He is good at listening and knows what he's doing to help you. I am now feeling much better. He showed me how to manage my anxiety and overcome the trauma. After a traumatic life event unfolded over 10 years ago resulting in ongoing challenges and after years of various therapy through a range of clinical services, I have now found a provider that is helping me shift where the shift needs to happen.

It's early days with Life Focus but after only a few months something good is happening. I don't know where it will lead and how long it will take but it feels right on a range of levels.

I look forward to continuing this journey and doing the work that needs to happen within. It might not be for everyone, but it is for me and would therefore recommend others to at least give it a chance to work.

Where do I start? Well this was the worst idea I had. I trusted a recommendation before really doing my own research. Donatus is the wrong person to help you in a relationship, save yourself the $360 for a session where he speaks over you, does most the talking, uses metaphors that are common place that go on for about ten to fifteen minutes. Sings a simon and Garfunkel song to your partner. Ignores you and spends most his time on your partner. Doesn't ask you anything about your relationship other than what are some issues. Uses the same repeated phrases from the blogs on his page like every couple is 50/50 (no they are not). Tells you long winded stories about his life and the life of his extended family. Gives you common sense advice. Uses mirroring which any therapist would do. For someone with 42 years experience there wasn't a single thing that impressed me or gave me the confidence that he could help. Also the office is a back room at their house. If I could give negative stars I would. I felt it in my gut he didn't like me for speaking my mind. May I say there's some narcissistic traits there? Please do your research call first get an idea of what you want ask clear questions about what the steps are what service is provided with any therapist. I wish I could get a refund for this service but alas all I can do is warn others. I know that there will be a response to this comment that's half a*sed filled with empty regrets and apologies. I do not need that. I need people to find someone to actually help them. Going to get help for your relationship is so delicate and such a sensitive thing you must find the right person to guide you and he is not it. Keep this in mind people can pay for reviews and get people to post BS for marketing. There are two comments on here that show the truth. I hope this helps. I hope couple's steer clear and find someone who will actually help you.

I can’t recommend Donatus at life focus highly enough. I first started seeing Donatus for relationship counselling and realised I had to work on myself before I could help anyone else. After being hypnotised I felt like a different person, so much happier. He has given me practical skills to cope with depression and the hypnosis recording helps me when things start to get hard again.
