Went on January 2019:

Couldn't have asked for a more relaxing vacation farm stay! We were here for a 3D2N trip from Singapore. Both Ms. K and Mr. M (couple owners) are very friendly and helpful. They seems to be very experienced dealing with tourists from overseas judging by how they have all the guidelines written. From the review book in the room, I can tell everybody did indeed have a good time, so if you're a tourist from foreign land, don't be skeptical about whether they are tourist-friendly - cause they are definitely so.

In the farm you're free to roam around as long as you do not pose danger to the animals or yourself. There's feeding session going on as well, which the farmers (owners) will bring you to experience. There's also rides (the vehicle that carry hays) you can take to experience around the farm, just talk to the farmers about what they experience they can provide you.

Next, the cabin is nicely decorated, very roomy even though the cabin is small - we just have what we need. There's a big dining table in the spacious kitchen (with many complimentary food such as their farmed eggs, very fresh ostrich, duck and chicken eggs). Some shelve items are expired, not sure if they're by the farmers or left behind by the tourist/guests.

The living room has comfy sofas along with TV and a fireplace (didn't get to use it as it was summer in January). The bedroom comes with a big queen sized bed and 2 side tables with ports for charging your phones and bedside lamps.

Beside the bedroom is the only bathroom. It is small, but just enough for you to use everything. The bathing area is spacious enough, albeit the sitting area for the toilet bowl is small (as it is next to the door).

Best part of the cabin will definitely be the porch outside with a complimentary to use BBQ grill. Just go to a nearby supermarket and get what you need, and cook at night for a romantic experience you cannot experience in the city (as I come from Singapore, we do not have such experience available for us).

That's all I can remember for now, but overall, it is every penny worth it if you love rural stay overs.

On arrival, I saw a 'welcome' envelope with keys on the front door. No friendly welcome as most other places do after a long drive. We had a cabin with a patio but not allowed access on cabin patio for my toddler to ride his little bike. We asked owner if my son could be allowed to ride his bike, the response I got was "no, it's sectioned off for a reason". My son rode his little bike instead to the stables and was told 2x to move it. Not child friendly at all.

So many DO NOT DO rules!
So many DO NOT TOUCH signs! This includes the animals on the farm. They were friendly and they would approach us on the fence but we were told not to pat them as they bite. All the animals were fenced off and not roaming freely as some other farmstays.

Also, DO NOT PICK fruits signs on trees and vines. It's private property it says. This is written in their information file on the history of the property and final sentence says it's their property and fruit not to be picked.
DO NOT ENTER signs can be seen in some areas.

I do not recommend this farmstay as a place to relax with your kids as you will need to constantly monitor their movements in the farm.

Overall, I did not feel at home here. The place is very expensive for what it offered. I was better off staying in a hotel with my toddler. Never returning here and not recommending the place either.

Absolutely a great place to be at; be it for a retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life or just to experience a quaint farm setting.

The hosts, Farmers Merv and Katherine, were especially welcoming and friendly, and we really appreciate their hospitality, on top of showing and explaining so much about farm animals and life in that area - we learnt quite abit:)

The cottage which we'd gotten was meticulously kept and prepared for us and I'd say the home-made bread and farm fresh (free-range) turley, duck and chicken eggs were awesome as well.

Definitely worth a visit again should we have the chance to be in Perth, Australia again!

We stayed at this place a year or so ago and it was like a prison! Rules rules rules. Don't use the water don't use the electricity. From the moment we arrived Farmer Katherine (as she expected to be called!) was dictating what we could and couldn't do like we were school children. The animal feeding was good fun however it is almost compulsory to go. We have never felt so unwelcome and we holiday very regularly! Needless to say we left this hell hole early and will never return.

A real gem just outside of York. Lots of different animals that can be petted, fed and groomed, from ponies to alpacas to pigs to ostriches. Great country experience for city kids with plenty of wide open air to roam and nature to play in. Bonus points that parts of the property have no mobile reception making it a perfect get away from the city.

We had a wonderful stay in this farm house. The kids really enjoyed the animal feeding and hay ride provided by the farmer hosts. They are very friendly and were happy to answer all of our questions.

My fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay here. We both loved having the wood burning fireplace in our cabin! We even decided to change our plans, and cook dinner each night we were there inside because we were having such a lovely experience inside the toasty cabin. I have never had one before, so it really made the whole experience on the farmstay complete. Would come back again.

It was an awesome experience for us! We stayed in farmhouse and it was clean and cozy, a perfect place for 2 families! Farmer Katherine and Merv are such a great hosts! There was a camp fire setup during our weekend stay and our kids were having fun interacting with animals too! It is a great getaway for city dwellers like us. Will come back again!

Absolutely great for kids to experience a real farm. Feeding various farm animals in 430 pm is highly recommended. A little bit disappointed that the “river” behind the farm is smelly.

Great for families. Able to take your dog with you on a holiday. Feeding the farm animals was really fun for the kids including getting to eat fresh eggs. Only downside is that it is in a mobile dead zone.

Says exactly what it does on the tin. Even being roused by the " cockerel chorus " became fun. How often can a two year old feed an alpaca, a kid goat or an ostrich? Just priceless, an outstanding experience in every respect ; even the restricted telecoms was just great.

Great place for family. Comes with animals like Alpaca, sheep and pigs. You can join feeding everyday, however, it is really isolated - half an hour drive to any town.
