Lovely rural setting. Very peaceful and relaxing. Great place to relax or explore the surrounding region. Cottages are well set and very comfy.

The owner is fantastic & the food is amazing. The themed cabins are very relaxing, decorated with a lot of thought.

2 nights here with 35 choir members for a workshop.
The community room was near perfect for size and acoustics. Accommodation is first class.
Easy travel from Perth and a great place for groups.

Very quiet and comfortable getaway only 10 minutes from the town of York. Great for families with young children.

Just stayed here with a group of crafting girlfriends it was beautiful. Accommodation first class nice comfy bed. Nice bright lighting for our crafting. Even loved hearing the freight train going through late at night. Helped feed the animals. Highly recommend this retreat for fellow crafters.

Dear Katherine and Merv. We enjoyed our stay at your farm very much. As we have been in a business most of our lives we have always appreciated a very well run business. Yours is an extremely well run business. The rooms were incredibly clean and very well presented. The big king size bed was extremely comfortable. We had such lovely walks amongst the orchard trees and down to the Avon River. A big thank you and we would recommend anyone to come and stay at your idyllic farm.

Great weekend getaway to York an surrounding area. Get up close with the rescued animals at feeding time and relax down at the River and spot the wildlife.

The design of the homestay is very beautiful. We live in a Bali-style homestay. Kitchen utensils and tableware are complete, including tableware for children and chopsticks most commonly used by Chinese.
Katherine proviede a fresh bread loaf in the homestay, which she made herself. We really like it!
The farm has lovely animals, not many but enough for my daughter to experience feeding.
Because there is not much light pollution, we enjoyed the starry river both nights, nature is really magical.

What a wonderful week end at the farm, we were so lucky to be there a few hours after the birth of a beautiful baby goat:) The feeding of the animals was really fun, the kids absolutely loved the tractor ride and getting their fresh eggs. Our cottage was perfect for a farm stay, we enjoyed the wood fire very much and the fresh loaf of bread, yum. Thank you

Stayed in this farm for two nights. We booked quarters - a cozy and clean one bedroom apartment in the farm house complex. This place is around 13 km from York town centre. Beautiful views and very clean place. Children activities from 5 pm to 6 pm - feeding animals, tractor ride etc. My 5 year old enjoyed thoroughly. A bit expensive though!

Just spent 2 nights with 3 Grandaughters at Lavendale, they cant stop talking about the animals & what Farmer Katherine taught them. They are at the age to ask questions. Such lovely hosts & accomodation was clean & comfortable. Loved the fresh bread on arrival.

Great trip. Accommodation was good and a fair price. Kids _loved_ the animals and the rides on the tractor.
York is a good distance away for frequent trips to resupply and get out and about.
View was amazing. Good air-conditioning inside too.

Had a fabulous stay in the cosy orchard chalet. Animals are well looked after and they seem so happy! The hosts were super friendly and taught us a lot about the animals during the daily feeding time. Hope to be back soon.

Our family of 5 adults & 2 young children stayed at ‘The Farmhouse’ for 3 nights.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this picturesque property which had a great variety of animals big & small.
Our accommodation was like a home away from home with every comfort imaginable & a lovely gift of fresh laid eggs & home baked bread.
Katherine & Merv were wonderful hosts & the location is perfect nestled between York & Beverley.

We just had the best 2 night stay here with our 2 year old daughter Norah.
Everything was great from the homemade fresh baked bread waiting in our cottage for us on arrival to the fresh picked eggs in the evening.
Farmer Katherine and Merv are hard working and caring hosts. They provide a great life for these healthy happy animals and there is a good balance of feeling welcome at their home but also left to do as you please. They have a great set up with BBQs, full kitchens and a great play ground with sand pit, cubby house, swings and trampoline. We will be back again soon and recommend to our friends with kids.

Such a peaceful place run by a pair of wonderful people in Farmers Katherine and Merv. My son has loved every minute patting and feeding the animals and generally roaming around. The lodging we stayed in ("The Quarters") was top notch with all the amenities we needed and more.
Thank you for allowing us to stay here; I expect we will return.

Me and my wife stayed at Lavendale on 3rd of july for 2nights. It was AMAZING!
Our Rose Cottage was clean, good equipped kitchen, and fire place in the winter just perfect! Tranquility is what We going to miss from this place.
Been reccomending Lavendale to friends and now I reccomending it to you!
