Laneway Seven

Definately recommended for casual dining. Good menu, good food, great coffee, good atmosphere (if a little noisy at times), and friendly staff. Have done brunch at Laneway 7 two or three times now. Ordered the big breakfast on the most recent visit. A serious sized meal, and really well presented. My only comment - and this is very subjective - is that overall, I found the big breakfast somewhat dry. That's to say, started out well, but soon found there was a lack of 'wet' foods. With bacon (well done), sourdough toast (unbuttered), hash brown, home made beans (the little sauce was soaked up by the toast), poached eggs (not runny, but firm), by halfway through I was finding getting it down was becoming a bit of a chore. Some may like their breakfast 'dry', but in the words of a certain French TV chef, "Where's the sauce? " This dryness, of course, required lots more coffee, but could I catch the eye of the waitstaff? Very difficult. Took ages just to order a fresh mug.
Others at my table raved about their choices, and, the menu offers plenty to choose from, so don't feel the big breakfast is representative of everything on offer. Overall, a good little spot in the heart of Ellenbrook.

I got bitter spilled coffee ordering off door dash bitter because clearly can't make a coffee and spilled likely because you can't package coffee correctly for delivery

Great matcha! Made the traditional way with a matcha whisk too. Haven’t found another place in Perth that does this.

Went to the cafe this morning for coffee with family and through out our whole time all we could hear was the lady at the coffee machine angrily ringing the bell 20 times at the poor girls running coffees and food. When they would rush to get the coffees the lady at the coffee machine would angrily have a go at them. I was so disgusted by the treatment she gave the Staff and it’s a shame because the serving girls were lovely and so was the coffee. But I do not support places that treat their staff so horribly. These are young girls starting in the workforce and they do not need to come and work in that horrible environment. This is not my first time coming here and seeing this behaviour. It is absolutely disgusting behaviour and the lady or boss at the coffee machine should know better to treat others with common decency! Shame on you, treat your staff better.

I really enjoy this place, the food, staff, all good.

I do prefer to sit outside though, and the rickety tables make anything more than having a coffee or eating hand food impossible. It sounds trivial, but the table literally moves back and forth, as if it’s about to collapse, under the light strain of your knife and fork. The tables and outside benches wobble and feel as if made out of match sticks, and for this reason alone I don’t eat here anymore. If you think this sounds like nitpicking, I suggest you try the bacon and eggs or eggs benedict sitting outside without spilling your coffee; next to impossible. Is everyone too polite to point this out? I feel like the outside furniture is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Recommend if you plan to eat inside.

Haven’t had the food here yet but find this to be the best coffee in Carousel (work close by) been coming for 3 months now and the ladies at the counter are always helpful and know how to put a smile on your face:)

Got there just after 7am for breakfast was told to take a seat and they will come and take my order waiting for this to happen seen 3 people come in to get a coffee after me gess I should of said I wanted a coffee not any breakfast would of got served straight away ended up walking out with no breakfast but no big deal Dome cafe just down the road got served as soon as I walked in thank you Dome.

Bizarre is the only word I have! Lunchtime visit and nobody else there. Given 3 menus as I was meeting friends, and within 4 minutes menus were taken away even tho my friends had not arrived. Got my food and literally went for my first bite and it got taken away from me as ‘it wasn’t for me’ even tho it was exactly what I ordered with my changes. Then 5 minutes late it came back … cold. The staff then hovered beside us and before we had finished, tried to take our plates away. Then when we paid we got asked if everything was ok, to which we explained no. Then they laughed and stood in the doorway watching us walk away. It all felt a bit surreal!

Was a great place to eat but obviously under new foreign management, had big breakfast, eggs were like glue, food was dry and bland. Cuppa tea used to be twinnings English breakfast now it’s dirty cheap Lipton.

Ordered the omelette with a side of chorizo. Chorizo was an extra $6 on top of the $22 for the omelette. When the breakfast came out it had six thin slices (wafer thin) of chorizo. I complained and the manager thought the price was justified. English breakfast Tea was also just a Lipton bag in boiled water. Price gouging at its best. I would not recommend and would not eat here.

Don't know what happened, staff use to be great and food, use to be an energetic place.
But over $20 for an omelette, it's become over priced n bleh. Decided to get breakfast else where. Sad to say

My daughter just started highschool at ESC so I was quite excited to see a coffee shop next door that I can nip to before I head off to work!
I quite like laneway 7, super friendly and happy faces, great coffee, super fast for takeaway and reasonably priced at $4.50 for a small cap.

Bought carrot cake and vanilla slice both were horrible slice was hard custard and cake stale so needs to be checked more often

Absolutely awful, worst breakfast and coffee I've ever had. They must be paying for the positive reviews. Avoid at all costs!

Deliciously tasting ‘Boss Burger’ and chips, and a smooth tasting coffee. The kids burgers were huge and tasty too.

This is for carrousel, Cannington branch: They messed up our order, late service, and low quality food.
Coffee was ok, but they messed up the size, we order medium and they gave us small.
Bad experience and disappointing.

Customer Service is Superior.
I have been here a few times a d love the variety of Breakfast/Brunch options. However, on this occasion there was an small issue with my Big Breakfast that I ordered. I spoke to the staff which assisted me promptly. I was then approached by another staff member who offered to replace my entire meal which I politely declined. The issue was resolved. I had a few staff members check in with me, aswell as the owner.
They really cared about what they were serving and about me as a customer. We gave some feedback upon leaving, which was taken on board.
I'm all about the 'service and comeback'. Very hard to find old fashioned customer service these days in the restaurant industry.

So …… ordered a “pot” of tea and got a half filled cup. Almost had the plate with my food on dropped from a distance. Not a good experience and most certainly will not be returning. Also the menus have no prices, which according to consumer law is illegal. Atrocious place!

The staff were rude, I was charged more for my iced coffee than what it said on the menu (no extras or special milk), and when the wrong thing was brought out and I politely let them know, I received an eye roll in response. Overall horrific customer service.
I’d normally never, ever recommend Dome but in this case, go to Dome instead.
