Lancaster Wines reviews
48Visited Lancaster today as it's been on our list, staff were bare minimum friendly, we bought thier products to go and also wine to drink while we were there. Would be nice if staff were friendlier, as we are locals and would visit more regularly.
Wine and cheese was nice, however, the service was terrible. As part of a tour, we were expecting wine and cheese tastings but received one wine and a small handful of cheese cubes for 12 people. The staff member mumbled answers to our questions and reluctantly allowed us to taste another wine. Disappointing…
Great little tin shed winery. The Rose was our wine of choice after tasting - will definitely return.
Brilliant cellar door with outstanding wines. The casual but very informative atmosphere was an absolute delight.
Great wines, staff were unfriendly to us at first which was disappointing.however they have a very tasty rosé!
Good wine, great cheese platter, but no good service. We went there, kind of expecting a little bit more of information about the wines or at least a more specific tasting notes. The staff, very unattentive, just give you the wine without explaining anything. We paid the premium tasting but the didn't have 2/8 wines, but they don't tell you that in advance. Overall, good wines but not good experience.
Love Lancaster. It's my favourite winery. Decisions decisions. All of their wines are yummy. Fantastic service, tastings are free, best chilli cheese ever. Plus they now serve shucked oysters. Doesn't get any better
Cannot fault this place. The wines are outstanding, stunning location and very welcoming / rustic tasting and grassed area. These guys really look after you and especially so if you become part of their VIP program (free). Staff are always very helpful and generous, you feel like part of their family and friends.
Our time at Lancaster Wines was a great experience. Beautiful grounds and surroundings and very friendly and helpful staff who knew what they were talking about. Tasted a number of different wines and purchased a few as priced very well for the quality of the wines. Also had a dozen oysters which were incredibly fresh and again priced really well. If you're in the Swan Valley do yourself a favour and take a visit to Lancaster Wines. I'm sure you won't be disappointed
With cellar door set within reach of the grape vines and it's heritage, this is a winery to truely unwind in.
Their West Australian sparkling white rivals top champagne houses and absolutely amazing with fresh oysters! The Rosé is could be a perfume to be worn all day long.strawberry, cream and French vanilla - a must for the sensors. Lancaster reds are a true nod to the Swan Valley region and if you want to wow your friends find something from their museum list.
Food was available - cheeses, paté, oysters, dips, cured meats and the staff will even build a grazing board from your choosings.
Staff were fun, knowledgeable and relaxed. The whole atmosphere set a really enjoyable vibe. Would definitely come back and bring more friends.
My family and I had a great experience at Lancaster winery today (tuesday). The service was fantastic, provided by Carl
Saw their "free wine and cheese tasting" sign and dropped by. The winery was beautiful and serene and the set-up was very rustic and comfortable. Overall lovely atmosphere ️
Such a lovely place, I did not LOVE any of the wines but they were still great nonetheless. It's such a chill vineyard that isn't packed like Sandalford and Mandoon - you get a free cheese tasting while drinking some wine, and you can pay $15 for a cheese selection and $5 for crackers. Take that and chill out with the beautiful view and seats they have. 100% recommend for the vibes.
Really Disappointed
$20 premium tasting cheese platter
Wasn't worth the $$
Staff not helpful
Not everyone was given wine
A perfect example of unpretentious wine from the under rated Swan Valley. Yes, it doesn't have the prestige of Margaret River, but if you make it down to this region make sure you stop here and enjoy the wine and the beautiful grounds of the winery.
Lovely wine seriously.and cheese tasting. Pay the 5 and try all the reserves.worth it.and what a picturesque drive in.
Cute wine tasting experience - small outdoor shed for tasting the wine, nothing grand but personal. Nice wines.
Some eady drinking wines served with hreat cheese. Grab a glass and chill in the garden overlooking the vinyard.
Mixed experience. Lovely driveway for photos, has cheese tastings too which is unusual, yummy sticky Shiraz and muscat but priced for tourists happy to splurge. However, service is inconsistent. Ignored and not friendly or served well depending on the female you meet.
I went there last Sunday. The lady who served me there was very friendly & helpful. The wine was fantastic too. I look forward to going back there sometime in the near future.
