Kooljaman Cape Leveque reviews
45Amazing spot! Well worth the drive from Broome. The setup and camp ground is great. Quite a few different accommodation options for everyone. The setting of the area is amazing with amazing beaches. Spent hours relaxing on the driveable beach. Beautiful walk on the vast beach next to the pindan cliffs then a breathtaking sunset to finish the day. Amazing service from the Kooljaman staff. Highly recommend and we'll definitely go back.
They charge $70 a night for a tent and check in is at 2pm! It's not a motel room. You travel 200klms from Broome and they don't let you know that the cafe and restaurant are closed, so we didn't have any food. Otherwise a beautiful part off the Kimberley.
A true Gem hidden in the middle of Cape Laveque Delicious.breakfast, vegetarian brekky too Delicious coffee
Absolutely the best. Highly recommend this unusual location and resort. The management there are great and will go out of their way to help guests.
I didn't stay here as Iam travelling full time with my dog but the walk around the point is the best vista I've seen in 2 years. Just stunningly beautiful.
Staff were helpful and friendly. Totally recommended.
Piece of heaven for nature lovers, very very hot and insects galore if youre not. Spend all morning swimming and snorkling, prestine beaches. No stingers inthe wet season, yay! Toilets and shower very close to the cabins.
Had a nice meal of fish barramundi, salad and chips, theres souvenirs. Need 4WD for Cape Leveque rd. Cost is $5 per person or $20 per car to go down onto beach. I took photos from the shop.
So good, spectacular, beach huts are awesome, tour with Brian Lee was the best day out with the kids, will return one day for sure!
This is an absolutely breath-takingly beautiful part of the Kimberly. Age and weather worn rocky coastline with rich hues set against the rugged ocean, a visit to the Dampier Peninsula is a must.
Magical place.we were camping in the beach huts.sunrises were beautiful.staff great.good place to recharge
This is such a beautiful place, food beach tranquility, friendly people secure private beach light house and beautiful sunset. Enjoyed a lot.
We were only here for a very brief time, as part of our Horizontal Falls tour. So we didn't get to see much, only a portion of the beach. The white sands & turquoise sea were stunning. Add to that the imposing red stone hills and the whole scene was awesome.
The best accommodation is along the water on the eastern shore. The powered campground have shade but no view of the water. The unpowered campgrounds do not have shade but have views of the water. The safari tents have ok views but better views of the lighthouse than the water, which is cool in its own right. Plenty of walking along the beach at low tides - probably the best part. Food was ok. Live music was awfiul, but let's give him an A for for effort.
Amazing part of the country, well worth a visit. We had some issues extending our stay, management couldn’t “manage” the situation. Luckily travellers have good people skills and we did their job for them and everyone ended up happy. Still a bit to learn in the customer service department but it may come with time.
Great place, caters from ordinary camping to Glamping overlooking the ocean. Great food at restaurant
Would stay here next time without a doubt.
Worth the trip up the dirt road, the scenery here is unlike anywhere else. From the pindan cliffs of west beach to the white limestone cliffs of east beach, the white sand and the crystal clear water, to the breathtaking sunsets over the Indian Ocean. Drive or fly, make sure this is on your Kimberley bucket list.
Beautiful place to just chill out for a couple of days. Quite expensive for some very basic facilities but scenery is spectacular
Arrived at 11AM, told that lunch wasn’t until 11: 30. That’s fine. While we wait we have a look at the menus and see that there is an “all day take away” menu. Awesome! We’ll get some of that. So we go up to order from that and are told is only take away during the lunch hours, starting at 11: 30.
Prices are expensive, staff are rude and more interested in talking to each other than serving and should change their menus to have correct titles on them.
Beautiful place to stay or just to visit. Great swimming beach, cafe, restraunt. You can fly in drive in or get a tour in.road is been upgraded to a sealed rd all the way from broome so it going to be a busy place once finished.
