Kokoro reviews
41I’m very glad that I made that decision as my Bento Box for lunch was the best Chicken Katsu I’ve ever had! The box contained a Spring roll and a piece of fish, pickles and tiny sushi, side salad and rice topped with a cute and tasty purple seasoning, all beside the delicious crispy katsu on finely sliced cabbage.
I gave this 5 stars 2 years ago. This is the first time i have been in since the new owners have taken over. They get only 3 stars because the portion sizes where half the size. 8 pieces of sashimi was $15 and the beef tataki was half the size it use to be with hardly no onion and no idea why you would put sesame seaweed ontop.
Disapointed we didnt get our value for the money we spent.
Should bring back the sashimi and salad with wasabi mayo.
We have never ever been disappointed! The sushi and sashimi has always been top quality fresh and divine! All the donburi and bento boxes lunch deals are so delicious and extremely good value. I highly recommend it to anyone who has not tried Japanese food before - you will not be disappointed!
Ingredients were fresh and definitely authentic Japanese. The sashimi and the the beef was amazing!:)
Kokomo presents an unusually diverse and authentic Japanese selection for Western Australia. Generous, well-prepared sushi. Friendly service in a casual atmosphere. It's been a long time since I was able to get every type of fish I wanted in my own Nigiri selection: Tako, Hotategai, Sake, & Maguro. The Miso Soup had the perfect amount of Bonito flavour.
Delicious food, great service and good value. Real Japanese people serving real Japanese food. Enyoyed a Tofu Bento for lunch that came with free Miso Soup. I will be back again to try some more vegetarian dishes.
Not a very good bento box, with a weird spring roll, old tasting orange slice, a spiral noodle salad that was also strange. The miso soup was okay, the toilet smells I the think the sink drain need cleaning and the whole place looked a bit grotty with chipped floor tiles and something dried running down the wall.
We took patents who had never had Japanese food. My wife had a take away a few months ago and it was quite good. This time we ate in. The mixed tempura was really good and served quickly. Great little restaraunt for takeaway or sit down lunch. Love love the sushi and bento boxes, so much food! The people who work here are always so friendly and wonderful
Kokomo presents an unusually diverse and authentic Japanese selection for Western Australia. Generous, well-prepared sushi. Friendly service in a casual atmosphere. Dropped in here after a movie for dinner. Service was A1, friendly and perfect. Ordered the beef tataki and sashimi and the partner order salmon teriyaki. Food came out quickly and it was so nice and there was heaps there.
The only place in Bunbury which does a chirashi sushi. Very authentic Japanese food served by Japanese speaking staff. The only place I would go for real Japanese food.
The best sushi in town. And of course the service is excellent. Great little hidden gem of Bunbury. The Bento boxes aren't bad either.
Food was good but the state of the store, the pricing of the food, and the wait time was horrendous.
Absolutely love, good food, nice atmosphere, it's a shame they don't open all day has become very inconvenient because I love eating there
What a lovely place. Food is great and reasonably priced. The lady who runs it seems to know everyone who comes in, obviously this cafe is a favourite among locals
Itakimasu! This place is great, we were looking for our new Japanese hangout after strolling around the city we decided on this gem. Authentic, tasty and delicous food and even better staff! Check this place out now.
Want to try authentic Japanese cuisine but can't afford the plane ticket? Then Kokoro is the place for you.
Very thoughtful owners from Osaka. The yosenabe was cooked for us because of the children. They opened earlier so that the kids could come in as well. It's real Japanese cooking.stronger flavours from Osaka. We also that the grilled salmon and chicken Kats curry.
Real Japanese - my wife is Japanese and I lived there for 4 years.
I like their tuna and salmon on sushi rice - the maguro (tuna) is the second best I've had in Australia.
The food didn't have any great flavour. There wasn't an option for mixed dishes of sushi. The plum wine was pretty awesome though.
Always enjoy the food served at Kokoro. Staff are always welcoming. There is lots to choose from the menu and presentation is always pleasing to the eye.
