Kokoro

The curry tasted like instant curry and the one customized with beef was expensive but the quantity was very small. The Kitsune udon also tasted like instant udon and the Kitsune was too much sweet. The croquettes seemed to be frozen and then just warmed and served. It is not a Japanese restaurant, but a restaurant that simply serves Japanese instant food by heating it up.

THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD! We ordered 6 different dishes (oyako katsu donburi, prawn tempura sushi, miso soup, salmon sashimi, veggie tempura, and agedashi tofu not pictured) and every single dish was flawless. The sushi is made fresh - the tempura veggies were crispy but not oily - the katsu don had a very generous portion of meat - the sashimi and all the dishes were made with very high quality ingredients and they all came to our table quickly. Genuinely the best Japanese I can remember having. We love you Kokoro

Delicious authentic Japanese food, great prices and the staff are lovely. We enjoyed the unagi donburi, spicey miso ramen and chicken karaage. The best I have found in south west! We came from Perth, and wish we had something similar here

This is my favourite Japanese restaurant and takeaway. I’m so thankful it is in my local area.
The matcha icecream is the best icecream I have ever had.
The udon noodle beef is absolutely delicious and the Tonkotsu Ramen pork is also absolutely delicious and to all have been made to perfection every time.
I love how they package the soups for takeaway.
Also the prices are very reasonable.
Just $6 for two generous scoops of ice cream, and when it is the best icecream ever it makes it even more of a every-night treat?
Highly recommend this restaurant.

First time having the mochi ice cream and did not disappoint

My wife and I visit Kokoro quite often. We've always received an excellent meal. The food is always fresh and priced well. The restaurant is always clean and the service is excellent.

The Bento Boxes are excellent value, freshly made and delicious ($16 approx). I had the pork ramen - really well made but not a huge serve for a big guy like me. That's okay, I bought some teriyaki sushi that was on point! Drink prices are reasonable.

Only (really) minor quibble with this place was the old guy who spent about 10 minutes stacking empty produce boxes on a trolley in the dining area - ruined the vibe a bit. Recommend that he collects them outside business hours.

A small venue that looked average, but pleasantly surprised me with its quality. Wifey had Octopus Balls and Salmon Sashimi and demolished the lot. I had a very good sized plate of Chicken Katsu curry, which was lovely and crisp with good flavour. Overall I found no reason why I shouldn't return in the future. Well done.

Beautiful food dress and delightful. Friendly staff and very kind too, helped open the door which was difficult for me with walking stick and carrying bento box take home. Definitely will go again. The photo speaks for itself.

Their takoyaki is to diiiie for. This is me and my partners go to spot when we visit Bunbury to see my family. We ritualistically go to time zone for fun then get takoyaki and gyoza for dinner and the staff are always so friendly

Only been a few times but doesn't disappoint. Hope to go much more. Just have an amazing and adorable Bento Box -crumed chicken. Was amazing and got the Japanese soda, well super yummy and can't wait to come back for more:)

One of my favorite place for take away food. Food is delicious my kids love it. Limited parking lot. Call for orders and pickup otherwise have to wait 20 minutes to get your food done.

I’ve always been a fan of Kokoro, and I thought it was time to go down and spend some money locally to welcome the lovely new owners. I’m very glad that I made that decision as my Bento Box for lunch was the best Chicken Katsu I’ve ever had! The new boxes don’t come with a miso soup anymore but it doesn’t really need to with how good it was. The box contained a Spring roll and a piece of fish, pickles and tiny sushi, side salad and rice topped with a cute and tasty purple seasoning, all beside the delicious crispy katsu on finely sliced cabbage. I’m definitely keen to be able to try out some other items on the menu.

Simple looking restaurant but never judge a book by it's cover because they do delicious meals at a reasonable price. I'll definitely come back

Beware, menulog menu is $2 more for each item than than kokoro menu. Paid $50 and wanted me to pay 0.50cent for extra soy. Rippoff

I really enjoyed my Bento prawn box. My husband found his chicken one too oily. Very clean but the decor needs brightening up with maybe interesting relevant pictures or artefacts.
