KiRi Japanese Restaurant

Went to Kiri for a birthday meal and was really impressed. Sashimi was delicious and main (Ordered the eel) was presented impressively on a sizzling hotplapte and wonderfully seasoned and cooked. Enjoyed the small but impressively curated wine list also.

We really enjoyed KiRi. The stars of the show were the best sashimi we’ve had in years and the best miso cod we’ve ever had. The service was excellent and very engaging. Can’t wait to go back!

Delicious Mushroom & Vegetable starter and also Black Cod Miso dish. Syrah recommendation was excellent.

I had an amazing experience at Kiri last week. The food was not only beautifully presented but tasted divine. I am not a fan of unagi (eel) but dining at Kiri has completely changed my opinion of unagi. We had a wide selection of food including beef fillet tataki, hiramasa carpacco, kiri bento, tiger prawn, soft shell crab tempura and dessert. The waitstaff were very attentive even though the venue was completely full. All in all a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

Miss the previous Japanese owners. Wouldn’t had visited had I known Kiri had changed hands.

Beautifully restrained Japanese decor, this little restaurant is a gem! Amongst some of the fresh and delicious courses we enjoyed were the Eggplant entre (which was an amazing balance of salty, sweet, crispy and soft smoothness, skilfully prepared to produce an amazing balance of being cooked just enough while still holding its shape beautifully) and the Teriyaki Beef main. This beef course was a delicate delight. Slightly charred, medium rare, tender and tasty. Both dishes were superb and I’d happily recommend (and order again!).

Staff were efficient, friendly and the service was prompt without being rushed, enabling us to feel well taken care of and to take our time to enjoy our meal.

As always, great food and even better service. Shaun is as smooth as a fresh pair of shaven legs. Really accommodating to vegitarians, which is refreshing. SUPPORO on tap is icy cold and fresh. Thanks.

We have been going to Kiri for many many years and it never fails to deliver. Superb food, kind and generous service and a warm local atmosphere. Takeaway side or licensed restaurant side, you can’t go wrong. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing dinner at Kiri. Every dish was delicious and the presentation was perfect. Staff were very friendly and the ambiance just right for our date night. I highly recommend. We will definitely return.

An elegant decor, thoughtful and friendly service, and beautifully presented delicious food combine to create a lovely dining experience. Even though the additional room is more humble than the main dining area, it's a great way to enjoy an evening out in the suburbs with fine dining level dishes.

Ordered Kiri bento for dinner but not quite impressed. I'm Japanese and tried almost all Japanese places in Perth, this place is definitely not the top one. For this quality of bento at $40, I would definitely go to Yuuma in Vic Park. Overpriced and overrated.

When I first arrived, I was confused but intrigued on how simple the restaurant was.
They don’t have many pictures put inside their menu so we might need to ask more, and the staffs were just great and very helpful. I sat when not many other customers arrived yet, which I feel food services were not that long. (Just my Desserts got delayed a bit when the restaurant was busy)

Food is exemplary! 9.5/10 on my perspective, which I think because of their recipe simplicity and quality ingredients. My favorites are sashimi and somen noodle due to their simplicity.

I enjoyed the other appetizers and sides too such as Gyoza, Eggplant, and Octopus. Each dishes they prepared are made with such strong yet simple taste, especially when the ending was a very amazing desserts.

Caramel Pudding was not too sweet and Ogura Ice Cream was just Perfect, it has a very distinguished Milk taste and good small red bean bits.

I recommend everyone to try it out. Its a good Dinner which its OK in my perspective to pay a bit more than average.

There are several one star reviews about how long it took to get food served. I totally agree. We arrived at 6.00pm and it took three quarters an hour to get our first course. After waiting a further half an hour for our main dishes I asked when we would get them. The waitress said the dishes take a long time to prepare. I pointed out we were the first customers to arrive at 6.00pm and all the other tables had got their food and several takeaways had been collected. We were brought the dessert menus but as after 15 minutes no one came to take our order we decided to give up, pay our bill and leave. We won't be coming here again.

The most amazing Japanese restaurant in Perth. It is a very nice small restaurant setting but is professionally decorated with comfortable interior. The food & drink menu was great in variety. The food was amazing from entry, share, main to sweets. We enjoyed everything! Lovely staff and attentive service. Japanese food fans must go

Kiri has always been one of our favourite Japanese dine-ins and takeaways.

Sashimi is top quality, always cold, fresh and clean flavours. Bentos are to die for. The flavours are delicate but delicious, the best agedashi tofu around.

Elegant vibe in the restaurant section and more chilled vibe in the takeaway section and outside.

Service is always impeccable. Love ya Kiri!

Such a great restaurant! Best Japanese dining we've had in a long while! Also has a great saké selection ;)

Extremely disappointed with the staff and service.

Since 5 people requesting takeaway came after us yet got their food before, after waiting for the food for an hour and 40 mins, we gave up and asked the staff for the food in takeaway. We were then told that getting the food takeaway would only take longer. Only one of the younger staff members seemed to have any real concern for our table, the rest of the staff didn't even once make eye contact. The owner was especially bad, especially when simply giving us the bill took an additional 7 mins due to her "error" of adding the dishes. Overall, shocking treatment, lack of any empathy and ridiculous service. Would not recommend anyone coming.

Poor service 2 hours before any food arrived then 45 minutes before half the tables arrived. Waited 10 minutes to get to our empty booked table then ages before order taken. Crazy long for table with 4 kids in school night. Then when we asked for the second half the table top get takes away (after 9pm by this time) told this would take longer. One of the worst evenings I've had in Perth. No service. Wrong dishes to wrong people as no explanation. Dozens of takeaways catered to in our 2 hours waiting. Another 10 minutes to get the bill. I won't go again and would strongly warm others to unless you have lots of time, don't want any service (including drinks or water) and have cold unhelpful staff. Seriously think again

The food was very good but the service and delivery of food was extremely lacking. Our food was brought to the table in a very adhoc manner over a very long period. We were there nearly two hours and my husbands meal had not even arrived. We ended up cancelling his meal and leaving.
