Kent St Weir Park reviews
64Relaxing place. Great playground but watch for ants. Also great walking tracks. It is a great place to escape and see nature.
Largest fenced dog area iv ever seen. Amazing bird life. Bbq areas a cafe river views kayak access long walking trails
Beautiful park area with plenty of BBQ facilities gazebos and access to calm water perfect for kayaking. Kids play area lacks shade though.
Great place where u can spend good time with your family. You can do different activities nice bbq place, dog park too and many more. Always love this place
Tried out my new SUP yesterday afternoon, not a world champ yet but I got upright. Lovely little shaded park area with facilities for families to enjoy.
Great place to go for walks, lots of wildlife this close to the city. Canning City Council doing a really good job with the recent upgrades.
A delightful park and wetlands in the middle of suburbia only 20kms from the Perth CBD. Has a number of walkways around the river, all wheelchair accessible. Numerous picnic shelters and bbqs (very clean), children's playground and a cafe. Definitely going back on a cooler day and taking a picnic lunch. One doesn't have to travel far to find gems
Never been here before. What a great place. Dr Noel Nannup met our student group from the Pilbara for a Welcome and talk about the significance this particular area.
Great little park. Has miniature steam and electric trains every 3rd Sunday of the month. Good place to bring the little ones.
Went kayaking Tuesday, You will see a lot of birds if you go up the river. You can hire a canoe with rivergods. There’s a restaurant and toilet available and lots of parking. You might want to go at sunny day so you can explore the park more.
Great experience for the little & big kids. Apart form the train ride, every thing else id dog friendly as long as on a leash.
This is a terrific area only 20 minutes walk from my house. The weir itself is a foot/cycle bridge over Canning River. I often use it to walk or cycle to Bunnings warehouse on Albany Hwy. It's a great shortcut through beautiful bushland.
The weir was built over a hundred years ago to stop saltwater going upstream on high tides - at that time there were farms in that area and the farmers pumped river water to irrigate their crops.
The weir has been rebuilt recently.
There is Cafe nearby, BBQs, public toilets, and parking accessible from Albany Hwy.
This place is not to be missed! And Castledare miniature railway is nearby...
Lovely Cafe. Disappointed with pancakes. Being gluten free and tasting like a sponge hard to explain to my granddaughter who really tried to finish them. Kiddies menu needs to cater for kiddies.
Some beautiful scenery on the many walking trails here. The cafe serves a good breakfast, but gets very busy at the weekends. There is also a model railway line here.
Lovely place! Great for kids and dogs. Always pretty quiet and right near a lovely little cafe. It's a beautiful spot right on the river with easy access and amenities.
Park is ideal for everyday activities. Walking, jogging, cycling, kayaking.lots of places to explore. I mostly take my dog in their enclosed dog park.you will b surrounded by all types of dog in the afternoons.its always a wonderful feeling and everybody is very kind and approachable.there is access to toilet 24/7.children activities in the weekends.
Great spot for exercising, dog walking or canoeing. Rest stop facilities along with a fenced off dog exercising area. Lots of picnic tables with shelters and BBQ available. Gorgeous Cafe on site with amazing food, fast and friendly service. Busy on a Sunday morning (you can make a booking, definitely suggested) but they offer takeaway so always the option to take the food into the grassed area if they don't have tables available.
Such a hidden gem. Cafe, dog Park, playground, walking trails, bbqs and beautiful surroundings. Definitely worth a look
There are bbqs, several pick nic tables under cover, play ground, bmx track, lots of flat bike trails and a cafe. If you have a kayak there's a couple places you can put the boats into near the cafe. It's a beautiful spot. Once a month the little trains run (castle dare) great for birthdays. There's something for everyone to enjoy! Lots of gum trees around.
Kent Street Weir is a lovely park that's close to Cannington, has accessible parking, beautiful river, a child-friendly playground and heaps of picnic tables! It just got redone and it looks great! Love this park!
