Kent St Weir Park reviews
64Kayaked from Kent St Weir East all the way to just past Spring Rd Thornlie. 14km round trip, was great.
This is a real hidden gem!
Great tables, chair, toilet, and bbq facilities. Lots of shady trees and cool water. Good paths for wheelchair and blind/ vision impaired.
Ballroom Fit held our Christmas Picnic at Kent Street Weir Park it was perfect for an all inclusive accessible gathering.
Wonderful, quite serene place along the river.
Barbecue is also avalible.
Coffee shop is avalible.
Had family breakfast at Canning River Cafe which was ok. Later roamed the park, the river and weir, and the kids enjoyed a ride on the miniature railway. All good
Great park for family activities, as well as just for relaxation. A large playground, a picnic area, an excellent cafe, a descent for those who like to go kayaking, an area with mini trains and many different moments. I love this park and would recommend it to everyone.
It was busy for a mid-week with many different groups: some biking in, some kayaking, others in cars. A nice spot.
Beautiful atmosphere, great place for kayaking, having a picnic or even a walk. Dog friendly park and very safe to take children.
It was a dreamy, sunny, warm afternoon. The coffee was good. My friends had ordered lunch, but dine-in was closed by the time I arrived, 2pm. I selected a little tart, take-away was available, and sat with my friends until about 3pm. Staff were friendly. I enjoyed the experience and will visit again soon.
Fantastic place to relax, picnic, bbq.or catch up and have a coffee at the Canning River Cafe.
Went for a great walk here, being amongst the trees and hearing all the birds was beautiful. Not necessarily my favourite place but definitely worth a visit! The Cafe attached is really great. They also have an enclosed area for your fur babies to run around in
An oasis in the middle of suburbia!
Every time I go for a walk there I find something different
A lovely morning for a 4km walk around Kent Street Weir, then after a tasty coffee at the cafe!
Beautiful riverside park
Always go there with my fur friend
Fully fenced dog park and many bbq facilities
Need to expand the car parking spaces. It's manic when it's busy! The cafe has taken off in a big way and they need to a re-think car parking. Even the cafe has become too small, not enough seating area. Lively walks though around the lake
There were quite a lot of people near the parking areas before lunch. During lunch time, people were more scattered around in the open ground near the river.
There were some wildlife birds, esp White Cockatoos flying around looking for food, and some people having fun kayaking too!
Great views as from the bridge over to the other side with different paved and unpaved walkways.
The flow of people going over the bridge and the walkways were consistent with the mild weather to immerse in the beauty of the natural environments.
Has everything, for families, kayakers, great fenced dog park, top cafe, walking paths/trails, miniature train operating on regular schedule, bike paths and an upgrade for the BMX track underway.all on the banks of the Canning river. Have seen dolphins catching fish there.
Would be 5 stars if it wasn't for irresponsible dog owners, the "he's ok" dog owners whose dogs have no recall. News flash my 2 50 kilo dogs are NOT OK when other dogs are off leash bounding towards them, if they get away, your dog is going to be seriously injured. PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOG ON LEASH, Its signposted everywhere and there is even a off leash designated area. It's a nature area for goodness sake!
Otherwise such a lovely walk around
Haven't had a brekkie here in a while and fell in love with the place all over again. Delicious food, the best coffee and the outdoors setting was just a stunner
Had a BBQ Birthday lunch at a gazebo, with family. Beautiful surroundings right next to the river.
