We were here at the beginning of December and loved the national park and accommodation. We loved the tent and the peace and the starry sky. Would love to come again and again.

I spent a night at Karijini Eco Retreat, and it was a mixed experience. The campground was fully booked, and it's unfortunate how some people reserve spots and then don't show up, limiting availability for others.

While I would have liked to extend my stay, the only option available was the expensive glamping, which seemed a bit steep for just a tent and a bed. Opting for basic unpowered camping, I found the facilities decent for a night's stay.

One highlight was the enjoyable happy hour, providing a pleasant atmosphere to unwind. The on-site restaurant served good food, offering a convenient option after a day of exploring the nearby gorges. The proximity to the gorges made it convenient for daily hikes, enhancing the overall experience.

In hindsight, securing a spot for a longer stay would have been ideal, but the limited availability didn't permit that. Karijini Eco Retreat is a suitable choice for those willing to splurge on glamping or content with basic camping facilities, especially if you appreciate a convenient location for exploring the beautiful gorges in the area.

Reminded me strongly of those UNICEF emergency-relief domes. At least with those i wouldn't have had to pay $250 a night. I have nothing good to say about this place, absolutely nothing.

Simple campsite - unfortunately the restaurant only had a very reduced menu.
Had expected something more.
The warm showers are positive.

I'm writing this review with a heavy heart, given our prior fantastic experience at Karijini Eco Retreat in September 2022. Back then, we enjoyed top-notch service, clean amenities, and a well-stocked minibar in our luxury tent, which justified the premium price.

Unfortunately, our recent visit was a different story. The service seemed to have taken a nosedive, with a rather disinterested reception and check-in process, and this coldness persisted throughout our 3-day stay.

We had booked the luxury tent again, expecting the same standard of excellence. However, we were let down by the insufficient cleanliness and a poorly stocked minibar that was only a fraction of what it had been during our last stay, and wasn't replenished daily as previously experienced.

The restaurant, which was a highlight of our previous visit, also disappointed us this time around. The food quality and cleanliness had declined significantly. After one meal, we decided not to return.

To be frank, I've experienced better service, cleanliness, and meals at mine sites, which is quite disconcerting for a 'luxury' retreat. The inconsistencies between our two visits are concerning, and it's with regret that I cannot recommend Karijini Eco Retreat as I once would have.

It's my sincere hope that this feedback prompts some improvements for future guests.

Stayed on an unpowered site. Big size and nicely spaced from other sites. Toilets and showers in good condition. Onsite bar and restaurant with nice staff. Great location close to Weano and Joffre gorges, but take it easy on the unsealed road.quite rough.

Stayed in an eco tent as I needed power. Our friends in the cabins were far warmer and protected from the winds! It has been a week of winds, so our tent was noisy and very cold. Had to use every blanket available and wear thermals and fleeces to bed, and still felt cold. Bathroom facilities are poor in the tent - the amenities block for the cabins were better. The one big plus is that the staff were fantastic. Helpful, good for information, really nice to deal with.
We have stayed in other eco retreats and this was poor by comparison. I recognise the challenges of remote accommodation, but better bedding for warmth could be achieved quite simply (more and better doonas), the bathrooms need a refresh. Added to this, our tent made metallic noises all night (tent 7) and probably needs attention. Also we had to get staff help to zip up inside to lessen the gale blowing through.
Wish we had stayed in a cabin and made some provision for power.
Tents 2 stars, cabins 4.

Great facilities including bar / restaurant. Everything you need for a comfortable stay and to recharge. The 3km unsealed road to the resort is doable in 2wd if you take it slow.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond - patching up our tyre for us after we got a flat on the way there. Room was great and what a feeling having a shower under the stars and waking up to a sunrise over the parklands! We were there in the middle of summer which was pretty toasty so the only change I would make is if we come back again when it is hot then would book the air conditioned eco tents. Amazing experience to stay so close to nature would definitely come back!

Great plans to be when visiting karijini national park. Hosts Leigh and Kat go the extra way to make you feel comfortable. The tents and camping grounds are all situated at ample distance to give u the sense of privacy. Totally recommended.

We stayed here on New Year’s Eve which is the low season in the park. I was super nervous about the heat and lack of facility. However, the staff here provided the best they can offer with thoughtful details like check-in, esky for each room and allocated fridge space. They offered very good advice and map for the park. I can’t be happier.

We didn't stay at the Eco retreat, but we popped in for some lunch. Can honestly say we had the best beef burgers we can remember! Delicious.

I had mixed feelings about this place.
It is definitely overpriced for what it is.
My husband and I stayed here in our campervan in an unpowered site for 3 nights.
The only amenities include a toilet, a shower (that sometimes didn't have hot water) and a small common area with a tap and a BBQ. I get that this place is in the middle of nowhere.but it could definitely be cheaper.
Also the fact that there are no bins in one of the main parts of Karijini is very weird. Why can't they have a big skip bin that locks like the one near Dale's? Or the one near Hamersley Gorge (that one doesn't even lock). It's just obviously super inconvenient not having a bin around.
The staff could also be a bit friendlier.

$380 for a tent without fan or air conditioner is ludicrous.

Extremely hot in the tent was sweating bullets.

Restaurant was really good, staff were very friendly, food quality was great. Coffee was great, staff helpful. Prices are normal. Tent prices are not $380

I think gauging people with pricing during Covid is justified but now tent price at $380 …. But it’s October and we are not in peak season and this is not a 5 star resort it’s a 2 star camp ground with 5 star prices.

Overcrowded & noisy during school holidays. Staff not prepared to relocate us from our designated campspot. Understaffed and one particular staff member not polite.

The dirt roads into this place are absolutely atrocious badly maintained if at all, the corrugations and ruts in the road are vehicular destructive, the use of the word road does a disservice to the word, shockingly neglected sums the up the dirt roads into here, I could go on but profanity would enter the discourse

The tents are large and spacious and not on top of each other. Beds are comfortable. Everything is very basic but it's camping. Restaurant was great food and reasonable prices too. Location outstanding and can't wait to do it again
