Kalahari Wanneroo reviews
57Absolutely terrible experience. Walked in with my partner for lunch and ordered a burger with sweet potato chips. Waited nearly 30+ minutes while people who walked in after us got their food beforehand. Finally got my food and they forgot my sweet potato chips as well! To top that off there was a moth in my food. Absolutely disgusting.
I am not one to complain as we have ordered from this restuarant before.
The food was terrible, rolls were stale, salad was just lettuce, toasties were greasy and not what we ordered.
Won't be ordering from this restuarant again.
What you pay for a coffee it’s not what is advertised, the prices are higher, i asked for the coffee prices twice and no one gave me an answer, completely ignored. It’s wrong to advertise a lower price, or at least let people know. Very bad customer service, won’t come back again.
New owners. My vetkoek was half the size and so was the tarts. Looks like someone took a bite from it. Very dodgy looking piece of peppermint creme tarts
Friendly people and great food. Thanks for the hospitality Hein and team. Keep up the awesome work.
Great service, great coffee and some cool products you wont find on your everyday supermarket shelf.
This place is a hidden gem, fantastic coffee and South African style food. Set in a small complex just off Wanneroo rd it looks quite plain from road but step inside and you find an ecleptic well thought out venue staffed by wonderful friendly people. My favorite breakfast dish is the Banting stack, I should try more of the menu but I can't move past that at the moment.
I have and will continue to recommend this place to my work mates. Great for work luncheons or breakfasts. The lemon margarine pie is to die for! And the Red Tea cappuccino (whatever its officially called I can never get the name right) is delightful!
This is not my first visit, but my first comment. Why do I go back there? Yes I am from South Africa and they make traditional SA food, but there is more. Easy to access, enough parking. The best is the atmosphere and food. The inside is not like a typical restaurant, it's more warm like a big farm kitchen, tables but also coffee tables and couches. I love the laid-back atmosfeer, that's relaxing. The service is good and friendly.
Dit was baie Lekker, ek het ribs gekry and the little boy makes the best coffee his name is seuna and his dads name is pappa very nice mense,
Seuna plays golf and he is very good, Seuna and pappa is net de beste

First time here. Food was amazing. Tasty, robust, flavourful. Tastes I haven’t had before. Highly recommend. The guy serving came over and talked us through the menu. Really nice man.
First time trying today, and oh my god have i been missing out!
I got the Perri Perri chicken burger/sandwich and chips and 2 drinks, and i have never ever ever had such a flavour attack go on in my mouth before!
The flavour was out of this world! Absolute pure perfection! The bread ohhhhh wow!
I know where I'll be spending my nights now! Thank you guys xx
Great food, young female staff were great. Felt out of place when the owner was only being friendly to his fellow white South Africans showing them the sauces that he makes.or is it a white South African Cafe?
I really like this place. I’ve only eaten the Bunny Chow and it’s fantastic. Mild lamb curry in a hollowed out loaf of bread. The coffee is nice and the service great. You can tell the South African bloke behind the counter loves what he does and has pride in running a nice cafe.
My only issue, and it’s certainly no fault of the owners, is that the 4G speed in that location is positively shocking. If you are coming here to do some work and intending to use your phone as a hotspot you might want to rethink that plan as I could not even fetch emails it was that slow.
Could not see any signs mentioning wifi available in the cafe.
Toasties and food with attitude and tradition. You have to experience the rustic charm and cultural patina woven into every aspect of Kalahari. Great, authentic and tasty food to be found in a friendly atmosphere.
Very good and friendly service. Just had coffee, which was served quick and hot. Nice atmosphere, will definitely return!
LOVE this cafe! I always have the rooibos tea cappuccino and it is so yummy. The bobotie (mince) pies are delicious as well. And the milk tart is always a firm favourite with our group.
The biltong is out of this world! The owner of this joint can teach any South African butchery how to make proper biltong. Remember to try the chilli biltong was my favourite. Definitely give this one a try!
Great little Cafe for a catch up with friends. A bite to eat and chat. Staff are lovely, friendly and polite. Also sell a few gourmet treats to take home. Recommend a visit.
Extensive menu including many traditional south African treats, great coffee and service, supermarket with south African cuisine.
