Junction Grill

Thought a sea food platter for two would make a nice lunch to share with 3 of us. Grilled fish overcooked. Prawns tough. Chips cold. Chilli mussels were ok, not the best. Would have expected far better.

Went here on a Wednesday evening, easy to get a table but first thing noted is their specials have gone off the menu so if looking for a cheap feed in the casino this is no longer.
I had the fillet steak, ordered rare unfortunately was more medium rare and the outside was very burnt tasting. The chips and salad were delicious. Staff were friendly. Half the meals came out about 15 minutes before the other half, then the staff realised and went to the kitchen and then was bought out twice. It's convenient and easy to get a table but I probably wouldn't get the steak again as unfortunately it was a let down, previous visits it's been fantastic but judging on the recent reviews the venue seems to be heading downward.

Fabulous outing on a theatre evening yet waiting time was good and seats were available straight away.

Service from waitress to chef was fantastic. Catered very well. Well done steak cooked perfectly and still tender.

Great serves, vibrant area and atmosphere, easy to talk and chat without yelling.

Bad experience. Ordered drinks and had to wait a while to order food. My medium steak was well done. They forgot to bring out our onion rings. We had our bread come first for entre but then a huge gap before our food came. When I asked for the missing onion rings after we finished our meals (cause I couldn't get hold of a waiter beforehand) we waited ages for them to come and they didn't say they were forgotten, only that they are still coming. Clearly forgotten though. Then we had to ask for more cutlery to eat it and we had no plates either. Won't be going back.

Worst meal and service ever! Been coming here for years but today was absolute garbage. Ordered a seafood platter - arrived with cold garlic prawns, cold grilled fish, tough as an old boot cold battered fish and cold double fried chips! Told waitress and manager came out and took it way when we explained that 4 things were cold. Another manager comes out and tells us the chilli mussels were not cold! Really? She felt the need to tell us that A she stuck her finger in the mussels and B felt the need to tell us that!? Perhaps communication went awry between the two managers and one told the other that we said everything was cold, that’s not what we said! Then to make matters worse we ordered a steak sandwich and a garlic bread (vastly different as I’d gone off my food by now) the steak sandwich was cooked and arrived 20 minutes later! So we ordered apple and rhubarb pie…. Not a single piece of rhubarb to be seen - I’ve shared the photo!

Lovely char on the ribeye & lamb rack, yet moist and juicy on the inside. The jus was tasty and rounded which brought the dish together. My goodness, i finally found a decent steakhouse serving up much juicier meats than other much pricier establishments! Where hv i been? !? !

Went back and had the pork ribs with Jack Daniels BBQ sauce. Was ok. Husband had the eye fillet and loved it.

The wife and I had lunch here, very good food, large portions, great atmosphere.

Update, we went back last Saturday to see if it was as good as last time, glad to report it was 5 stars all the way.

Ordered piri piri chicken which was dry and tasteless with a spicy sauce but certainly not piri piri. My wife had the steak sandwich which was okay but lukewarm. It was a very busy Saturday night and the queue to get in took 30 mins. Staff were good but won’t be going back anytime soon.

The four of us dined here on 16 August before going to the theater. The service was nothing special. I am a lady, and my beer was put front of me in s bottle, no glass. When asked for a glass we were told that they don't serve beer like that. The $66 scotch fillet was full of fatty, chewy bits. The lamb rack was amazing. My daughter ordered a lamb shank, it was frozen inside. When I called a waitress over, she looked puzzled, and asked if we wanted another. Really people? At least show a bit of compassion. The price indicates fine dining but the experience is less than a pub visit. I'm not sure if I will return in a hurry.

I had the salmon and it was so overcooked the knife had a struggle to get through it. I will never dine there again.
I did tell the server about it and he said he was sorry, and so was I seeing I paid for a meal that I could barely eat.

Went there for family lunch to celebrate 2 birthdays.
Ordered 2 steaks and the seafood stack to share. Food came out quickly but unfortunately the snapper was missing from the platter. A waitress came with it on a separate plate saying the chef forgot to put it on. It was very overcooked and dry. Not sure why the chef thought it was ok to serve. The salmon was also overcooked. Not impressed considering the platter is quite pricey.

One of the best chocolate cakes and according to my wife her favourite parmi because it wasn't flattened into a tile.

Hit and miss with this place. But I have had some very nice meals from here and its not too pricey for most of the menu

Waited 50 minutes for rubbish uneatable food, we tried to speak to the waitress about it but she seemed to not even understand the menu in the first place, we didn't want to wait any longer for our order to be re cooked, have been here a few times and it's never been great but this was a really bad experience

We were looking for dinner before seeing a show so we decided to try out the Junction Grill. Located in the midst of the casino, the Grill is perfect for a quick dinner. The food was alright (probably an 8/10 - it wasnt anything special but what they did serve was strong. My steak was perfectly cooked and the mushroom sauce was to die for.) but what I am leaving a review for is to commend the magnificent service. We got served by London who was very friendly and polite and had such exquisite customer service. We were seated beside a customer who was being quite rude to the staff and when the manager was called she handled it extremely well. We both work hospitality and we have to applaud the manner with which the manager dealt with these abhorrent customers: with dignity, grace and a level of professionalism I admire, immediately after she dealt with the issue I saw her delicately talking to her staff which is a very good quality. We didn't catch her name but it was Friday the 16th of October at around 6PM.

Ok but lacklustre service and the food went cold very quickly due to the air con blasting out.
Meal was average, wouldn’t eat there again.

Been coming here on and off for the last 4+ years. Food is reasonably pretty good for the price. Nice ambience. Always have order the arancini balls for a starter which were AMAZING. Went to dinner a few nights ago. Was told they don't do them anymore. They also had 3 or 4 other starters to choose from. Now it's only garlic bread or a salad. A bit disappointed.

Relatively quick line to get in, got a booth that was comfy and clean.
Service was excellent, drinks and food where quick to come out considering how busy it was and the food was great, steak was perfectly cooked and the dessert was amazing.
Not cheap but worth it, ill be back.

Food was quite cold when served, took about 45mins to recieve food. Hit and miss this time maybe next time.
