I'm a 57 year old woman. I presented to Jose with a niggle in my righthand side lower back and joint stiffness. The former had been lingering for about 9 months with physio treatment not solving the problem. I had been a devoted yogie and walker and Jose identified an area that needed strengthening and some old exercise habits that needed addressing. I have been seeing Jose for a few months now working on strengthening my glutes, hips and upper leg muscles. I can definitely feel an improvement. The exercises are tough and completely out of my comfort zone but have found persevering reaps rewards. I always feel great after my gym session, legs feel like jelly but my back feels wonderful:) Thank you Jose. You're a gem.

Jose has been a fantastic mentor. Not only has he fully customised every aspect of the training programme for me, but he has been in constant contact to ensure I was happy with my progression and to check if I had any questions relating to the exercises. He has helped with training, nutrition, and more complicated rehabilitation issues. He identified weaknesses/imbalances early on via a comprehensive orientation session which informed the route the training then took. I cannot recommend him enough.

I have been training with Jose on and off since November 2016. I had next to little knowledge of my way around the gym when I first started training with Jose. In fact that was the main reason for engaging Jose. Since then, I have trained with Jose to prepare for running a marathon and more recently to overcome and manage niggling knee pain and pain in my arm after playing badminton. Every time I have started a new training program with Jose I have been very impressed by his initial assessment of my fitness (and weakness) levels and subsequent development of a personalized training plan to achieve my goals. In addition to achieving my goals training with Jose has been a great learning experience. This includes things like the correct use of gym equipment, form and posture to maintain while performing the exercises, gaining knowledge about the body’s bio mechanical movements and sources of pain that I have experienced, and proper warm up exercises to avoid injury. Another great thing about Jose is that he is always looking to further his own knowledge through both his own research and through formal courses which I think is a great testament to his dedication to his profession and ultimately helps his clients.
Finally I found Jose to be very patient and passionate when it came to ensuring that I was following his instructions. So if you are looking for someone to help you achieve your fitness goals or help you with long term solutions to overcome pain experienced with playing sports then Jose’s the right person to help you. I would highly recommend booking a consultation with Jose.

8 months ago I had terrible neck/trap pain and also a rolled ankle. Jose was very confident from the start knowing exactly what needed to be done. After a few weeks working with Jose, I could already notice significant pain relief in my neck. My ankle is progressing each week getting stronger. It’s more than a workout, he has taught me correct techniques in warming up and exercises to strengthen my weak areas.
I’ve trusted the process and it’s paying off

I was training for an MMA fight when 4 weeks into my training camp I injured my right shoulder.

Coach Jose was recommended by my MMA Coach Romel Luistro after amazing success with my team mate Quillan Salkilld, what should have taken me 3 months with rehabilitation for my shoulder to heal only took 3 weeks.

I know it sounds to good to be true but what helped me was being present and trusting the process and Coach Jose, if you’re SERIOUS about achieving better results or need to heal quickly, you have to cash in all your chips and be 100% all in.

I was fortunate enough to meet Jose through basketball and have been rehabilitating my knee with him over the last 6 months. To put things into context, I have been playing SBL basketball for 7 years. However, over the last 5 years I have been suffering with worsening knee pain. Over this time I have seen multiple physiotherapists who have diagnosed me with patellar tendonitis, but were only able to give me generic advice about lower body strengthening.

During my sessions with Jose he has truly invested time assessing and researching the cause of my knee pain. Before I had met him I had no idea how my poor hip and quad strength, lack of ankle mobility and foot instabilities could have attributed to my knee pain. Over the last 6 months we have worked on these weaknesses together and he has educated me about the importance of training with correct technique. With the help of his personalised workout program, I have been able to apply my newfound knowledge beyond our scheduled training sessions.

Over the last 6 months I have had significant reduction in my knee pain. In addition I am still rectifying my lower body instabilities and working on my poor mobility. However, beyond this he has taught me so much about the proper biomechanics of movement and I am sure I will continue to reap the benefits of training correctly for many years to come. I now understand the importance of strength and conditioning in remaining injury-free and performing at my peak in basketball.

I could not recommend Jose enough whether it be for rehabilitation or for general fitness coaching. He is so knowledgeable in what he does and he is commited to always learning and improving for your best interest.

JOSE has helped me develop an exercise program that works for me and my back injury. He is thoughtful, well-educated, and listens carefully to the client’s needs. Although I’ve had some exercise limitations due to long-term back issue, JOSE has found interesting and useful exercises that work well for me. He’s a very good and encouraging trainer — JOSE is a great trainer! By far the best I have ever worked with. I recommend him highly.

I came to José with issues around compound barbell movements (predominantly squats, deadlifts and benchpress) that were causing me pain through poor form and technique. He exceeded my expectations with his in-depth knowledge and attention to detail, and through the skills that I have gained I am now lifting confidently and pain free. Would highly recommend!

José is one of the best when it comes to mechanics, strengthening and conditioning. After one consultation he did more than 3 months at the physio. Great bloke and very knowledgeable.

I had spent the better part of a year going through chiropractors and Physios for two slipped disks that were also herniated, I started seeing Pat in March 2020 with almost all hope gone.and it didn’t take long for the pain to go away, I stopped having to use a standing desk at work, I started running and doing weights, now I’m back training to play football. Fixing an injury is one thing, educating and advising how to avoid these injuries is what Pat did for me and I’ll be forever grateful for that. Definitely recommend for injuries or just general work outs, train hard but train right

I have consulted Jose on several different issues such as posture, hip pain, and hamstring tendinopathy. Most importantly he has educated me as to why I get such pains/injuries and shown me exercises that get to the root of the problem, no quick fixes. He is of high integrity and professionalism and highly recommend for diagnosis and follow up treatment!

Over the course of 6 months, Jose at JPX took me back to basics and corrected a variety of muscle imbalances throughout my body. Jose has helped improve my postural alignment, collapsed arches and general strength which has restored my confidence and quality of life.

I have been training with Jose for 5 months now and he has shown to be very professional, knowledgeable and committed to helping me achieve my goals.

I came to Jose because I had a goal to compete in a powerlifting competition and wanted to learn how to lift heavy weights without injuring myself. He has been very patient and genuinely cares about helping me get the best results. He puts a lot of effort into learning and explaining the fundamentals so that I can understand and feel confident in my technique. He has been excellent at pinpointing weaknesses and prescribes exercises to correct these.

Jose not only provides a personalised training program but
also checks in with my sleep and diet to make sure I am staying on track. This has been invaluable to overcome plateaus in my three big lifts.

I think the best part is he is realistic, persistent, and
supportive. He helps me set achievable goals and celebrates my accomplishments.

Jose has backed me 100% of the way and I feel confident I can compete in the near future.

If you are looking for a professional with a wealth of knowledge, that is welcoming, encouraging and motivating to improve your health and well being, Jose is your man.

I had attempted some training prior to meeting Jose which resulted in some injuries, on top of some existing problems with my hips and shoulders. Jose was immediately able to identify the problems, and began working on a series of precise exercises, backed up with knowledgeable and easy to understand explanations of the mechanisms of each movement.

Within a short period of time those issues have now been rectified, and I can honestly say my body has never felt better and I am looking forward to the next stage of development with Jose.

I’ve been seeing coach Jose about a shoulder injury and all I can say is that this guy is phenomenal. He is very professional in his approach and is easy to how passionate he is about his job. After having Jose assign me rehab exercises and stretches my recovery has been great, and I’m also learning a lot as he always explains the finer details behind the movements.

I reached out to Jose 6 months ago as I have been a long time sufferer of lower back pain. I have seen practitioners over the years for treatment but that only gave me short term relief. Jose has educated me on the weaknesses that have contributed to the pain, and tailored a strength training programme. I could not be more happy with the progress made and how much the pain has improved.

I highly recommend Jose not only for his knowledge but for the investment he makes in you as a client. He is warm and genuine with zero pretence, and an amazing coach!

I would recommend Jose for all of my friends because of his 5 stars services. Jose has helped me greatly with my hip and back pain, thanks to his extensive knowledge, I am now pain free after many years. Jose provides excellent guidance not only in exercising but also in nutrition. His exercise can be very challenging, but interesting, which really motivate me in doing exercise and taking care of myself. I never realised exercise can be this happy before!
I really appreciate that he can patiently listen to me talking about my pain, answering all of my questions professionally and going through various exercises and movements for a super unfit person like me at my own pace with encouragement.

Jose was brilliant in helping me after an Achille's tendon rupture. I was a newbie to gyms and didn't know how to use the various machine and weights and Jose helped me on a steep learning curve. Firstly helped me keep fit and gain strength whilst in a cast and moonboot and then rehabilitation once out of the cast. Jose has also helped start me on the path to better stability and strength of shoulders and hips after many years of niggling issues.
