Jaycar Electronics Belmont

I bought a part from here some 8 months ago. I was driving past and thought "Hey. I need a 24 VAC power supply for the retic. I'll get someth9ng with a bit more juice in it" Pulled in, picked up the part, fitted it, and it worked for about 6 months.

I ripped out the part, found the receipt in DropBox that I share with the accountant, and went back.in Jaycar about 10 years ago in Maddington, I had a fight with a clown behind the counter that was trying to preach to me the "Jaycar rules of returning stuff" when I explained that the Australian Government Consumer Protection rules over ride your store policy he said "no way" and rang his boss, and said I couldn't take the part.blah blah blah. I got consumer protection on the phone, and he still didnt listen. I needed the working part so I took the part out of the box, left them a copy of my drivers licence and walked out with the $300 part saying "Charge me with stealing if you think I have stolen anything" never heard a thing.so this has stopped me from shopping at Jaycar until about 8 months ago.

So as you can imagine I was ready for a fight. "Here we go again" I thought. One guy looked at my receipt, looked at the part, plugged the part in and said "Okay" grabbed another one off the shelf and said "there you go mate" just like that.guess I'll be shopping at Jaycar in Belmont from now on. Thanks guys.

Jamie from Jaycar Belmont went well above and beyond his job description to help us out. It is a rare thing for someone to be so helpful, and he should be commended on his efforts. It didn't go unnoticed. We WILL highly recommend this store to all our friends, customers and family.

Should have just gone here first! Shopping for my 9yo daughter birthday. Be heading back for christmas, and maybe for a vehicle fridge for myself.

Unhelpful, staff don't know how to smile, and didn't offer assistance. I would have brought what I wanted but got no help so I went elsewhere.

I recently went to the Belmont Jaycar store and had the absolute pleasure of being served by Steve. He was very helpful and his advice turned out to be spot on. If you want advice or just a chat about ohms law in general, Steve is your man. Big shout out to Steve at Jaycar Belmont.

Great place to get odd components most electronic retailers don't stock.
You can get most products sold at jaycar cheaper online through their competitors.
Great store to browse lots of cool electronics.

Full of electronic goodies for diy projects. The staff here are super helpful and one team member set up a fm transmitter in my car without having to swap over my stereo unit head.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting steve.
He Had no intrest in helping me had no idea of the products they had i had to search the store untill i found what i needed and the customer service was just horrible.

Don't stock some of the good stuff they used too. Staff need to be more knowledgeable on the products they do stock.

The Manager in charge was extremely helpful, had a great positive attitude and unlike most other Jaycars around, the service was exceptional. Please provide training to your other branches.

Doesn't accept an exchange on batteries, even with receipt and undamaged original packaging. Service on previous visits has been sometimes slow.

Had a large range of equipment with sales staff that knew what was required for whatever job needed doing.

*** if my step-son was allowed to go through there with a platinum credit card, I'd have my hands full trying to assemble any items he bought! ***
