Jaycar Electronics Belmont reviews
39I love this shop! Staff always was patient enough for my questions, they know what they are talking about. Despite it costs a bit more than online - BUT if you buy it online you don't get advice & pay more because of a lack of advice. I love this shop!
Very disappointing service and advice.
Took in a problem to be solved and was suggested a fix. I was advised to alter a product I purchased from them that turned out to be the wrong advice, I was left with a damaged and useless product.
Staff tool no responsibility for this and their incorrect advice at all.
I could not have made it simpler for them, I took in what I needed a solution for and took their advice.
Left out of pocket for and would be very careful if you are looking for any "expertise". Lesson learnt.
Alex was very helpful at Belmont store, and saved me money. Thank you Alex.excellent service.
Just Came into the Belmont store. Im in a Truck, heaps of parking. Benjamin was Brilliantly helpful. I highly recommend Jaycar and the Belmont store.
I had a faulty charger for my gps and went to Jaycar in belmont Brandon gave me a replacement with no questions ask. He gave me outstanding customer service. Highly recommended.
Went over in the middle of the day to purchase an Arduino With Wifi. Was assisted by Ben who was very knowledgeable and helpful
He helped me get all the needed items for my project and confirmed all parts and pricing. He even setup a business account for me on the spot so I could get discounts. Great Customer service and vibes!
Fantastic customer service and products.
Came looking for a fridge adapter, but ended up buying a whole deep cycle battery system for my 12V fridge, thanks to the help and knowledge of Sam and Benjamin, they really went out of there way to help me.
Jaycar Electronics, very helpful with everything electronic and then some! I was looking for a tiny battery for an aged IPod Nano station and guess what, they had it! It's a fully stocked electronics shop with over 40 stores WA-wide, great service, very helpful knowledgeable Staff, go try them you will find exactly what you're looking for ️
THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for your assistance Jason & (I’m sorry I forgot your name but you had glasses on) Human & rest of the lovely team!
Best Friday EVER getting batteries.
There’s also an amazing display of 3D printed dragons and animals here made by Melissa!

As a German tourist, I have never experienced such great customer support in an electronics store!
The friendly employees went above and beyond to achieve customer satisfaction.
Thank you so much again!
Alexander was a Great help! He was able to explain to me what I need to wire up my solar panel to the Battery. I can’t imagine better help than this:)
Passionate, professional, practical & proced well. Jaycar guys, doing their thing & lots of different toys to take home! Wow! I think I spent about 56 times more than II was going to because they're so awesome thank you very much for your help to choose out stuff really quickly and for your advice and for your thoughtful solutions to my enquiries.
Staff never asked me am I a member when I pay at counter but will ask others, skin colour matters?
No pro choice, didn't even ask if I had an exemption.
Any pro choice people shop at a rival like BCF, not rtm as they are the same company
Very knowledgeable staff who were helpful when I asked questions. Lots of gift selections as well as general electronic gear. Easy parking and access
It's the only place to go to to buy bits and pieces of electronic stuff. Also the staff are very knowledgable and provide free advice.
I needed some help selecting appropriate resistors and diodes for my LED lighting circuit. I prepared my schematic drawing, took my LED lights and made the mistake of first going to Jaycar. When I told their staff what I needed, they literally started at me blankly, like I was speaking Chinese and basically told me they could not help me even though the store was clearly stocked with all the parts I needed. I don't know why Jaycar would employ staff that don't understand basic electronic schematics.
In contrast, my next stop was Altronics Cannington, and man! Were they helpful. Not only did they understand exactly what I needed, but they immediately took out their benchtop power supply, read my schematic and hooked up the circuit. Then they worked through a bunk of resistors and diodes to find exactly what I needed. They even took the time to walk through the store with me to pick out a bunk of switches to make sure I walked out with everything I needed. Extremely good service, no reason for me to return to Jaycar.
Great for electronics enthusiast, I found overload protection power boards cheaper than bunnings
Jaycar have a fantastic range of electronic components & all sorts of bits & pieces you may be looking for. They may surprise you with what you can get in the way of fittings etc.
Sam V helped me while I was in the store. He was incredibly knowledgeable and very respectful too. I needed help to connect a DAC to a raspberry pi head unit and Sam even allowed me to test various components until I found the perfect match. I wouldn't have my project turn out as well as it did with such short time if it was not for Sam. I can highly recommend Jaycar Belmont as the team was keen to help me get my project running instead of trying to sell a bunch of things. That being said I ended up buying a bunch of things and don't regret it one bit. The attached photo shows the new head unit with android auto in a 2006 Jeep, thanks in part to Sam & Jaycar.
