Great service from a lovely team of guys. Have had J & C out a few times now and always happy with the results.

They had created a mess leaving wire trimmings on the roof, red brick dust not swept up in the garage area and dust and wire clippings inside the home, as well as broke some roof tiles.

From the first phone call and complaint to the owner and electrician, there was no words mentioned of coming out to inspect the damages only that they would talk to their electrician and being defensive instead of offering to come out and have a look at the issue (it did not need to be that evening; but the offer to have a look was never given) to come to a resolution for both parties.

The electrician that had done the works had denied and dismissed the photos provided despite them being very clear and showing the issues were clearly over their work area. Throughout majority of the process the customer service I had received in relation to resolving an issue or problem that had occurred onsite was lacking and I only got a resolution due to the actions of raising a formal complaint and with holding payment until this was resolved.

Upon the formal email complaint to the company, they quickly reimbursed an agreed value of 2 hours of my time / $100 to remedy the works. Initially I was happy with this as a resolution.

The second issue stems from the invoice being incorrectly billed as the $100 credit was billed in error and not as a deduction; this was quickly resolved when I had notified them; however, had I not scrutinised the invoice, I would have paid this in error. This led to a complete breakdown in trust and further invoice scrutiny and questioning why certain works were charged more despite at first appearing the same as other line items. The communication about this was lacking by both parties but in the end I accepted the explanation.

They, at a minimum had completed the required works and provided a statement and certificate of works. To this end the install work quality is acceptable; however, everything else around this was rough and could have taken some extra care.

Only through mediation from the owner who had contacted myself and provided a formal apology with regards to the issues that had occurred after I had posted an original review of this service; Had I decided to make some amendment to that review.

They are a small company that is still growing and can face some teething problems and they have many things to learn from on this journey. They may hopefully learn from this feedback through implementing correct processes, ensuring good communication and customer service relationship management (more importantly, conflict / issue / dispute resolution).

I used these guys for a fairly large job. 5 outdoor lights installed, 3 light sensors, 4 downlight installs, 3 socket repairs and 2 external socket installs.

I deduct
- 1 star for the damages
- 1 star for the mess and clean-up needed afterwards
- and 1 star for the initial lack of communication, acknowledgement, ownership and apology.
My initial review was 1 star but I give them 1 star back for the formal apology

J & C Electrical completed a range of electrical work around my home and did a great job. They arrived on time, were extremely responsive and reliable. I had called many companies who did not pick up my calls or bother to send a quote through.
The team installed ceiling fans, lights and power points throughout my home. They installed a high quality Hikvision CCTV system and 2 x split system air conditioners. All work was completed to a high standard.
It was great to use a company who could complete all of the works, instead of contracting multiple companies. A team of great electricians.

These guys came to wire up the electric switches for the roller shutters I was having installed.

I made a comment to my partner as I noticed the apprentice was using equipment to stop debris going on the floor. To me that’s is a sign of a quality tradesman teaching a quality apprentice.

The apprentice let us know when he was going to do loud work in the living room, as we have 3 young children eating. He waited for us to relocated them before proceeding to carry out the task.

I highly recommend this company.

Can’t recommend the team at J&C Electrical highly enough, they offer competitive prices and excellent prompt service for every job.
