Island Market Trigg

An interesting wine list, but extremely pricey and not many wines that were well known. Very few West Australian wines. The service was a little pushy, and I didn't 'get' the food. It was meant to be meditteranean style, and share plates, but it felt like it was just 5 plates of food, bought out at odd times? Lots of flies in the building, not enough fresh air movement even though windows were open. Could do with some ceiling fans. Music was far too loud. Not hurrying back.

The service is good and the staff are friendly. It has a good lineup of dishes on the menu, but the kids menu is very limited, however, a kids play area and high chairs are available. The beer menu is good, with a good choice of local and interstate beers. The down side is the cocktails and gin mixes are very overpriced at around $15 for fairly basic drink dressed with some garnish and a few drops of added flavour. In saying that, the location is mint, and the view over he water is magnificent. If your not worried about drink prices, this is a good place with some good foods that will be memorable for any occasion. Outdoor seating is available, which can be windy but you do get excellent sunset views over the Indian Ocean.

Thought I had ordered the fish&chips, what came out was market fish.a palm size piece of grilled fish on a bed of cauliflower rice. $42.tasted nice, but omg.the price!

The restaurant was nice the staff were ok. For a menu with such exuberant prices i expected a decent amount but was dissapointed the market fish on the menu tasted like rubber with a small amount of couscous i wish i had returned it.
40 for the cooler which was full of ice into a glass full of ice hardly much of the drink, the ice happened to be the star.
The t-bone was ok and the pork belly had a nice crackle but wasnt moist

Amazing place. The views are out of this world, the restaurant looks super chic and the food is unbelievably good. We had the 8 course Island Feast and it was delicious. Good sample of the menu. Congrats to the chef!

Food is a 5, table service is a 1.
It’s like you have no waiter, we had to ask someone to take our order and it was impossible to order dessert so we left. It wasn’t even that busy

Great view and the fit out is amazing. However the staff just are apathetic and unprofessional, a real let down. With a choice to go somewhere, anywhere, else. I won't be returning or recommending to anyone.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. I WOULD HAVE GIVE 0 STAR IF POSSILBE. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER IN PERTH. A ABSOLUTE CLUELESS STAFF. A WAITER WHO OBVIOUSLY HAS NO IDEA WHAT IS HOSPITALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE, ASKED US TO LEAVE THE RESTAURANT AS APPARENTLY WE WERE THERE ON THE MIDDLE OF A DINNER SERVING AND 2 OFF THE PEOPLE WHO I WAS WITH WERE NOT HUNGRY AND SAID THE WILL HAVE COFFE ONLY. MY MISSUS WAS FEEDING OUR SON AND WE WERE ASKED TO LEAVE RESTAURANT, AND GO TO CANTEEN FOR COFFE AND THEY HAD NO TIME FOR US FOR COFFE ONLY. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. WE HAD TO LEAVE IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR SON'S DINNER BECAUSE OF THIS WAITER. I COULD KEEP WRITING AND EXPRESS MY FRUSTRATION BUT YOU DO GET THE POINT.

Awful service, overcharged for drinks and bland food.

Complained of the dead flies on the table, waiter scoffed and got a vacuum to clean them up. Were told we couldn’t move tables despite many tables being free.

Will not be returning!

4 of us opted for the 8 course island feast menu, we were so dissapointed in the quality of food and amount of pickled veg just thrown onto the first 3 plates we couldn't face the remainder and left. Staff were gracious enough in not asking us to settle the food bill, but what was worrying is they weren't surprised. Such a shame the venue is in such a prime location.

Nice food, good service, beachy retro theme.not a bad combo with the canteen next door for a casual and then more upscale option

Poor service, over priced food.the worst fish and chips ever! The fish was not fresh but watery.it was actually disgusting. Canteen next door is a hundred times better!

Arrived a bit early but our table was not ready so had to wait. Food was not too bad but the flies were annoying! Nice restaurant by the beach but parking is limited.

Was a little skeptical due to reviews, but found that the staff were in fact amazingly friendly, polite, and welcoming, quick to serve and take your order, and yeah, no complaints at all!
Cauliflower dish in particular was delicious. Desserts were delicious! Views were beautiful. Will become a go-to spot for us.

Over priced, below average food. My chips were so dry i wouldn't even feed them to my dog yet the woman sitting next to me had fresh ones! Never going back there again. The kids 'play corner' could do with a vaccum too! Im sure all the sand and dirt hadn't got there in the morning being we were there at lunchtime, gross.

We had a wonderful meal and experience at Island Market. The staff were friendly and helpful, recommending wines and explaining the menu to us. We had the 8 course sharing platters and were impressed with all 8 courses. We sat in a booth and it wasn’t too noisy either. Overall a great night out with friends and I would recommend you try it.

Waited first in line to get a table for 10mins and when we got a table waited over 20 mins to be acknowledged by a rude waitress, we received no service so we walked out with two other couples waiting.extremely poor service.

Very good food. We sat by the windows where you getthe view of the ocean. We ordered the filled pita. Falafel and lamb. Both were good, but the falafel was the best.
