Island Market Trigg reviews
58We had a great experience at Island Market. Food was amazing and they also catered to suit my husband’s allergy. We ordered to share. The pita bread and chorizo was very tasty. Then we had stracciatella and heirloom tomatoes…make sure you have some pita bread left for this…it was amazing and roasted asparagus and moruno spiced lamb. All dishes were gorgeous to look at and had lots of flavour. Service was great and a fantastic view. A great afternoon.
Ridiculously expensive, standard fish and chips no better than your local for $38. View is nice but the food is barely worth half the price
Can you fault having a chilled cocktail, overlooking the ocean and sharing a cheese plate with a good friend? Staff are lovely. Prices reasonable and a vew to die for.
So so disappointed. It took 20 minutes for our drinks to come and our order to be taken despite repeatedly asking for our order to be taken. The food came out 45 minutes later. We went for lunch mid week and it wasn't overly busy.
We ordered the lamb filled pita and the wood roasted market fish.
The lamb filled pita was horrible. The meat was so tasteless and so dry I had to keep drinking water to get through it.
The market fish was very dry it was like the order was forgotten about and left under a heat lamp.
Unfortunately won't be going back again.
Coffee cold, food very average for the price and no presentation at all. Do yourself a favour and keep walking past.was very disappointing as had such good experiences with the local restaurants.
Nice setting, pleasant staff but that's were it ends. Ordered Squid but was given Octopus, food was average at best, but expensive for what it was. I've been there a few times before when it was under other management and had pretty his experiences but besides the views it offers nothing else for now.
Great views of the ocean. The staff are friendly, I got the smashed avo which was good, will be back to try more of the menu.
Excellent place, we had breakfast and the food was really nice, the service was amazing, very smiley faces, good mood, crew look happy.
Coffee was good and the view is always nice at this place. Totally recommend place to come with your partner or friends. It won't disappoint you.
Great spot by the beach, with great views. We ate in the restaurant and the food tasted great, was fresh and good size portions. Had the kebabs and really enjoyed them along with some nice cold beers. Worth a visit for sure.
Nice and clean, fabulous view of the sea.good service, good food. We found it quite expensive but after all it is very central and right on the beach.
Friendly staff, although you can tell they are told to up-sell every chance they get. I brought a cake to celebrate my birthday, i have never heard of this but they charge $2.50 per slice of cake cut so was going to cost us $22.50 (just to eat a cake i bought!?). I asked for a knife to cut it myself and was told its against policy. Also the $9.50 juice is only about 300ml. Not worth. I understand its a business but they are way to greedy.
First great location, right on the beach unobstructed views to watch the sun set.
Second well decorated large space can easily accommodate tables of 8
Third food was yummy, some of the dishes were different. Not what I expected, it worked.
Loss of two we booked tickets for Melbourne cup event, wouldn't do it again.my GF had a wardrobe malfunction getting out the cab, she had to go all the way back to mt Lawley, by the time she got back she missed out on her glass of champagne and her food they wouldn't accommodate her. We had to pay for the salad, which came with meat
(She V) so she didn't get to eat that either. When it rains it pours.
Disappointing when you spend over $1000 on the day, they did offer us a glass a champagne if we ever went back, (which technically we already paid for lol)
Little pricey, but good food nevertheless. Calming, serene views outside. I tried the Crab Omelette for breakfast It was very tender and juicy like nothing I've ever had before. Super tasty!
Although the vibe and ocean view was amazing, the food was so disappointing. My husband ordered the pork belly and I ordered the octopus. The octopus was so rubbery I could barely eat it and it had an unpleasant smell and aftertaste. Porkbelly was substandard too. We were very disappointed and must say that this was probably the worst meal we've had in 20 years in Perth. Service was very average too with a very "whatever" attitude. Perhaps better to just have a drink here and enjoy the views.
Excellent location. Sunset was amazing. Waitresses and waiters were cheerful and friendly. Food comes in big servings and delish! Highly recommended.
One star for remaking our coffees instead of 're heating them.
Down hill from there, unfortunately, with poached eggs tasting more of the vinegar they were cooked in than actual eggs. Wife's cold mushrooms didn't help and bacon quite tough. My eggs on toast were exactly that. Two vinegar soaked eggs on two pieces of sourdough with no butter. YUK! Won't be a next time for this place. Must say the view was nice tho.
The location is priceless, unobstructed ocean front. This rating is highly reflective of the location. Coffee was ok, food is pretty basic and served in paper boxes.
Our experience was lacklustre. Food edible, atmosphere and ambience ordinary, staff attitude both good and not so great. Maybe it was our choice of dishes, the night or the time of day but it just left us flat.
View was beautiful. Service was OK but the food and drinks were way over priced and the food wasn't great it was actually awful. Would not recommend to my friends and will not go again
We had a thoroughly delightful experience at Island Market yesterday. My sister and I enjoyed the Greek island inspired share menu, the wine list was really innovative and our waitperson fantastic. He recommended a Prosecco Rose which was the perfect accompaniment to the food we had ordered. Perfect way to spend a sunny winters day.
