Great little fancy dress shop on Barrack Street. Has fancy dress outfits for most occasions and staff are very helpful if you need any help with finding what you need

Called ahead to assure the specific costume was available, which was the case. After driving up from Mandurah (hours drive) I was told the costume had been ordered in and would take a few days. After letting them know they said they had one in stock, they told me the costume would be “somewhere on the floor” and I’d need to find it. After searching for over half an hour, the staff then told me they didn’t have one in stock.
Stock there is good but not if your looking for specific products, customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Such a cool shop (some surprisingly high quality clothes and jewellery there) and legitimately the nicest staff I've ever met.took the time out of their days to have a chat, recommended me some stuff to try as a wildly unfashionable & clueless person and were generally just so warm and friendly.such a sick shop, will def come back.thanks all, made my week!

Amazing customer service, helped me find the perfect corset and went out of their way to make it fit right and then went out of their way to text me and update me on the corset, highly highly recommend

When I found this place online, I was scared they were to good to be true. But, yesterday I went in-store and spent hours here and I'm blown away! This is now my new favourite clothes shop, I will definitely be back again. And again and again and again.
I couldn't even focus because I just wanted to look at absolutely everything.
Plus everything was perfectly reasonably priced. Finally a shop that caters to my style, I wish I had found them sooner.
Every staff member was super super super helpful, friendly and welcoming.
I felt super comfortable trying corsets for the first time

Also, I was especially shocked at the amazing quality and price of the wigs!

More than just a costume store. You're making a character here. And more lessons are free on their site!

Shopped there multiple times now. All the staff were very friendly and open-minded, and Nicole is wonderful. With plently of experience in fitting, she was enthusiastic to get me only the best fitting gear. Always a pleasure to browse under the halloween vibe!

I've found Hurly Burly to generally be a decent costume shop, however last time I visited I was charged full price for an item that was meant to be 50% off, and when I realised the issue I was not refunded.

EDIT: Since posting I've been told that I can in fact be refunded, which can resolve my main issue.

Additionally, looking back, I've come to realise that most of my experiences here have actually been quite good, and whilst sometimes it can be more pricey than expected, the options available make it well worth it, and (for the most part) the staff have been incredibly helpful. Sorry Hurly Burly for rating you so unfairly before

I wish you could give no stars.
I Ordered and received a different item to what I ordered so I contacted hurly burly they were very apologetic and promised to send the correct item.
Since then I have not received the correct item and they have failed to communicate or answer any correspondence. It’s going two months since I ordered and I am now fighting for my money to be refunded.

Do not buy from this business!

I have heard from the new general manager who has promised a refund.
It is a shame that it took this review to get a response but happy that it hopefully will be resolved now.

Great range of clothing, costumes & accessories. Excellent service and an extremely helpful staff member (Chelsea) helped me with corsettes and fairy wings. Will definately be back

Just had the best shopping experience! I Bought a Christmas dress of Ebay which wasn't quite what it promised () went into Hurly Burly in the city and the ladies helped me out with corset belts and floofy petticoats to help me get the dress shaped the way I want. I love that there's a shop still like this in Perth when so many others have closed down or gone online. If you need any costumes, burlesque wear, fancy tights or accessories please go and see them on Barrack Street in the city?

The staff are alert and efficient. The range is impressive. Ladies can find corsets, good quality denim skirts and fairy-like skirts here. With the aid of a particularly helpful store assistant, I found a gorgeous golden chain top. I am traveling and I will return to the shop again before I depart. Highly recommended.

Saw that they still have the eeyore onesie stock sml and lrg at their website but wasn't on display. Asked 1 staff (who was guarding the door since it was busy) and said they might have some upstairs only to staffs. So I asked another staff but was answered with "I haven't seen it in a while upstairs, we might not have stocked. " Staff didn't bother to check, maybe because it was busy but still.she could've made effort to find out for me like she did to the other costumers she served before me and update their website.

Great little find in Perth cbd with great variety of outfits, awesome staff and vibe! Fun to walk around and check out - and some great bargains

Very poor service today, they spoke to me horribly when asking a simple question on exchanging an item and getting a store credit because it didn’t fit.

Customer service was non existent, staff were not interested in assisting anyone. Shop was filthy, disorganised. I'll pay almost anything if I am valued as a customer

Popped in to Hurly Burly yesterday for a last minute "Moulin Rouge" costume for work. They had an amazing range and all the staff were so friendly and helpful in helping me find something perfect. Thank you! I will be back.

I made a purchase at this store and I do not recommend it, the service is terrible, I needed to exchange an item that my boyfriend had bought wrong, we came back the following day, unwrapped and not opened and the manager did not accept it.disappointed with service
