Horrocks Beach Caravan Park reviews
60What an amazing little place excellent caravan park and caretakers spotless amenities. Booked for 3 nights stayed an extra two.
Decent parking areas for a caravans, great fish and chips at the shop across the road. A bit too windy for fishing while we were there
Great peice of real estate, ocean views, plenty for kids to do but for $40 a night has very substandard amenities, poor lighting in park not value for money.
Had a great stay very wholesome amber and warren went the extra mile at this lovely little oasis. So close to the ocean, very friendly to everyone, would highly recommended
A hidden gem. Only discovered this place by chance after our Kalbarri accomodation was cancelled (cyclone Seroja). Will definitely be back. Chalets are so clean, and well equipped. Thank you for fitting us in at the last minute.
Near the beach with good lockout for sunset. Equipped and clean kitchen a bit far from our site. Toilets and showers in good conditions. Comfortable grass ground for the tents. Quiet place and kind staff.
We met a group of friends at Horrocks Beach Caravan Park, about 12 of us in total, the management were very accommodating in letting us organise ourselves as a group. Unfortunately for my wife and I we'd had car problems on the trip up and we decided to cut our trip short and we had our caravan and car trucked back to Perth.
It was an unfortunate end to our first caravan trip and we were looking forward to having time with friends.
We had hoped the management might give us a credit for a future visit but apparently this is against their policy, I booked online and didn't notice that clause but it is on the counter when you check in.
The grounds are well kept, the ablutions block is fairly old but quite clean, it's very close to the beach for a morning swim.
The park management and staff couldn't have been more friendly nor obliging.
Nicely grassed bays with plenty of late afternoon shade.
Still has the charm I remember from the early 1990's
Great location, great service from the couple running the park, true old fishing town. My only grumble is they need to update the toilets and showers just old and run down. We camped in our tent, lovely quiet place, the Ladies that run the general store good coffee and food.
The place was absolutely a pleasure to stay. Wasn't so sure what to expect. We were pleased to see a clean place and well maintained. We definitely will recommend it to our friends
Great caravan park.
Friends stayed in the chalets and they were well appointed, clean near and tidy.
I stayed in a caravan site which was nice and flat and grassy.
Camp kitchen was basic and clean with a TV.
Bathrooms and showers were basic and clean.
Very helpful staff and a great little shop.
Great little gem of a park 80kms north of Geraldton.
Friendly hosts and good facilities.
Make sure you stock up in Geraldton as the local is only carrying essentials
Horrocks is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The caravan park is a little old (hasn't changed much since I last was here 20years ago) however, it has everything you need, and the staff are friendly. It is also right on a dog friendly beach which was awesome for us travelling with the pooch.
The staff were lovely. The chalets a gem and the old town still has a real charm about it. Oh and I got Optus coverage.
The park was clean, quiet and the amenities were great. We booked a large powered site and had luscious green lawn and a quiet little area to park. We had friends staying in the chalets and we all enjoyed our stay. Care takers were lovely and helpful.
Lovely relaxed vibe but very tired. Ablution blocks need updating and cleaning more regularly if they want to cram so many in
Older style caravan park, grassed caravan sites, direct beach access, free WiFi, good tv reception. Clean. General store over the road, has great fish and chips
Stayed one night in a Campervan which was enough. Lady on reception wasn’t particularly friendly. Toilets are clean but dated, soap in the toilets would have been a bonus, so much for hand hygiene! Showers are cramped and very small. Toilet/shower blocks are old and in dire need of updating. The dump point was located close to the kitchen! No WiFi. Horrocks is a lovely place shame the park was a let down, we won’t be back.
We stayed in a cabin for 3 nights, the cabin itself was new and clean and tidy, just as pictured. Some minor improvements with kitchen supplies, as the utensils and crockery were a bit sparse, a normal size fry pan and some champagne glasses? Also make sure you bring everything as there are no staples or supplies such as S&P tin foil and cling film etc. My biggest disappointment was the WiFi, we had no access at all as they had run out of data.they do advertise WiFi and if you have family you need to keep in touch with you have to use your phone close to the local shop to get any service. It also meant we could not use the Netflx int he chalet, not that that was really an issue.
