Highway Hotel

Had a great meal there and the service was as good as the meal. Nice cold beers. Will be back there for a repeat.

Food was plentiful but a bit to fancy for pub food and was at the pointier end of price range but all came out together.
Drinks were also expensive.
Staff were distracted.
Plenty of access for wheelchairs once we opened the main entry doors and wasn't overly noisy.

We went and had lunch with family today and halfway through eating my salad I found a live bug. Totally was a big no for me and everyone else stopped eating their meals after that. Won't be going back
Not much done about it was offered a free drink which I refused as was totally put off eating or drinking there after that

We always loved the Highway Hotel because of the fantastic food, the consistent good quality of the food and the friendly staff. Unfortunately today was not a good experience at all. I had a grilled snapper with fries, the fish was overcooked and dry and the chips were a bit soggy. My hubby had bangers & mash - the sausages appeared as if they've been boiled before they were cooked and sitting on a very dry, cold mashed potatoes that looked and tasted as it has been cooked 2 days ago.
Everyone has a bad day once in a while but when I told the staff member that the fish was really not nice (I told him after I had a couple of bites and approached him in a friendly manner) he snapped at me straight away saying: 'where is the other half? '.
He offered then to give me my money back or have another dish. I had the same again which was better but nowhere near up to the usual Highway standard.
I work in customer service myself for years and I have to admit that the rude attitude got me the most. Very sad.

Great spot had the pensioners special rump steak chips and salad for $17 and a pint to wash it down with. Very quick service too and heaps of parking

Great service and friendly staff, onion rings were awesome, pool tables out back and tab if u like a punt.

If i could give six stars the Highway Hotel definitely deserves more, meals are prompt and cooked to everyone's request, great service to boot.well done another quality night TY.

Great that the kitchen was open after 8pm on a Monday night in Bunbury but that's about all that was good about our meal at the Highway. Let's see. The clam and prawn pasta was a $26 miss. Under seasoned. Poor quality prawns and clams. The sauce was devoid of flavour and even an amateur chef would know that it needed cream or lemon wedge or herbs to bring out any flavour. Just plain pasta a high school kid could make. The Chicken burger was about as greasy and good as KFC can do, but KFC don't charge $24. The vegetable Parmi was okay but really nothing I would return for at $24. All in all a forgettable experience but that's to be expected from most Bunbury pubs. Average, low quality meals at restaurant prices.

We had a function here. The venue was setup for us exactly as we had requested. The platters they served were really excellent and the roomhire was in our case at no charge. Everyone who attended was happy with free and easy parking at the door step. The no steps entry was a bonus for the elderly and disabled.

Very average. My wife's fish was hard and chips were undercooked and worst of all tap beer was stale and flat. All up a loud and forgettable place.

The food was awful. No hiding that the mash was pre made.literally came out in the mould of the take away container. Salad was sandy and un washed.

Whether you are conducting a meeting, rooms are available with equipment to present your Powerpoints or if you are celebrating a milestone you will be looked well after.
Meals are restuarant quality, very affordable and taste great.
If you want to catch up on the latest sports, it's all there so do yourself a favor, stop in and enjoy local hospitality.oh yeah "drink responsibly" always wanted to say that

We had dinner there tonight I booked a table for 3 adults and 3 kids and we asked to be seated in a certain area.
We arrived at time we booked and they went to seat is not in the area we wanted once that was sorted we sat down to order. The kids meals came out first and the adults meals came out nearly a hour after the kids. The stakes were cold and not cooked to what the customer had asked and they were cold also the garlic sauce had no garlic in it at all. By the time the adults got their dinner the kids had already been served desert which the kids had finished and wanted to go home even though the adults had only just gotten their dinner.
Wasn't really happy with the meals tonight hopefully of we try again it will be better.

Nice garden salad but no hot meal vegan options.

Would be nice to have at least one hot meal option

1 sweet potatoes is the best
2 steak taste awful, very dry
3 chicken drummer too small
4 pork ribs cooked very good
5 seafood pasta is good

Left without drinking our beers. Sports bar for SOO, bar staff wouldn’t turn up the volume… State of Origin night.

Won’t be going back to that sports bar, it’s only In wrest is the volume for the dog races.

Went and visited the Highway Hotel on the Pick Your Promo night. Hubby and I ordered the steak and the ribs. Both were very very nice. The ribs were juicy and tender and fell off the bone. The steak was beautifully cooked with a delicious pepper sauce.
The chips were hot and fresh, and the main dish wasn't served on top of them, so they didn't go soggy!
Staff were attentive and polite.
The food came out relatively quickly.
All in all it was a great meal in a lovely environment, and very well priced.

The best and different way to have a Chicken Caesar Salad. Presentation was amazing. Food excellent and Room and Decor Brilliant. What a great experience. Thanks to all the staff.
