Hidden River Estate reviews
46 Amazing we celebrated my husbands 60th recently. The food was to die for the venue cosey and classy. 5 stars absolutely amazing
I'm looking forward to my next visit and sampling more of the delightful menu
Called in for a late lunch. Sat on the sunny deck overlooking the karri forest and avocado trees. I had the beef cheeks and he had the prime beef fillet.both were sensational! Also shared a bottle of their Shiraz which suited out meal superbly. Highly recommend
Was not informed of set theme menu and set price when phoned to book a table. Food was beautiful but ridiculously over priced. Would not go again for that reason. Staff were very nice.
Excellent Lunch again, thank you Ardal, Sue and your team. Fantastic to have such a wonderful venue here in Pemberton. Always great food, views, wine and service. See you next time.
Lovely looking place and would have loved to try the food and wine however left due to lack of service. Walked in told to take a seat either inside or outside. Chose outside as a stunning day. After 15 to 20 minutes I had my partner go in to get menus. A lovely waiter then came to the table which I asked for a drink menu and stated we weren’t quite ready to order as we just got the menus. Waited another 15 minutes and decided to leave when no one returned. Disappointing.
Outstanding, great food, great wine, and great service. Beautiful location, well worth a visit.
Hidden River is a hidden treat. Fantstic food wine and service. We enjoyed our lunch so much we were waiting for them to open for lunch the next day. Made our stay in Pemberton perfect. I never order steak as i am always disappointed but not at Hidden River. Will definately be back.
We went for a dinner, the place is very nice inside and outside quite elegant and sophisticated but I would suggest to go during the day so you can also enjoy the outside scenery.
However watch out the price!
It is very expensive and I am not sure if it is justifiable for what you get.
What a gem! We found this by chance looking for a place to have lunch. Our food was exquisite, portion sizes are more than I would expect and absolutely delicious! We stayed for dessert as well and LOVED IT! Highly recommended. Will definitely be back again!
Dinner was not the best, I booked dinner here after seeing some of the wonderful reviews however my partner's pasta was flavourless and the duck nachos were not great. We also LOVE cabernet sauvignon and they didn't have a single drop.
A beautiful restaurant overlooking some amazing scenery. Food is a little pricey but it's expected given the location. Food had plenty of colour and flavour.
We did get a few looks though from customers.maybe we didn't "look" classy.
It’s the best restaurant ever. No waiting time at all.
It is a restaurant that all Asians and Europeans and Americans will enjoy. If I could rate it 6 stars I would
Highly recommended
Comprehensive menu that caters to all dietaries. We ordered the cabbage, asparagus and sardines- each came with a generous bread basket and were absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.
Nice cosy restaurant with spacious seating inside and outside. Parking is limited and great stop over on the way to and from Big Brook Dam.
The kids meals are very reasonably price. Chips are fried perfectly, as does our steaks.
What an exquisite meal! Lunch at Hidden River Estate was excellent. Great, friendly service, super drinks list and fantastic food! You can tell it is a chef owned venue!
Gorgeous surroundings, good food, lovely service. Loved the mocktail. Nice to be offered something fun and not alcoholic when I am driving.
This place is absolutely lovely in every way.
Food amazing and wines are lovely too.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Gorgeous views. A must when visiting the region.
Friendly staff, art nouveau style decor, clean and nice view of countryside. Very disappointed with the food, very expensive for poor quality. Duck paté was more a mousse, no seasoning and served with squid ink crackers whose fishy aftertaste did not complement the duck. The salmon was dry, the roasted vegetables were raw but charcoaled, the asparagus were dessicated. The hollandaise sauce was nice but I doubt it was made fresh (no lemon taste, no emulsion). The beef was great, cooked to our liking but at $50 a plate I expected no less.
More disappointing, we mentioned our disappointment to the waitress to relay to the chef, expecting some reaction from management. No apologies, no enquiries about the dish no mention of it at the checkout.
I appreciated the estate Chardonnay, planning to make a purchase but given the quality of the food and the attitude, I decided to spend my hard earn money elsewhere. This experience left us with a bitter aftertaste. Will not return.
We just ate at the hidden river and the food was lovely, the kids pasta was nice and just the right size, the salmon was just over cooked for our liking, not dry just not pink enough. The fillet steak was fantastic, cooked perfectly rare, very tender and delicious. The potatoes were fluffy, and crispy on the outside. The location is lovely and the staff very friendly and attentive. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in Pemberton.
