Great staff, Hertz, Thrifty and Dollar all now part of the same franchise.

Rental cars utilise the car park as part of the building, tight spaces, but you leave straight into the city or ready access to the freeway.

I was in Longreach and my dad had a stroke and I need to fly with him to Brisbane but because I had the hire care and hertz wouldn't allow me to leave the car in Longreach in an emergency situation. I ended up having to drive it back to Brisbane.this was very upsetting for my Dad as he wanted me to go in the plane with him. Not good Customer service hertz. This was an emergency. I have sent 4 emails and made 3 phone calls to try and get to talk to someone but no reply and when I spoke to the person on the phone they listened and said they would action it but it is a bit hard to do when they didn't ask for any details like my name etc. Would not recommend this company

The team here are lovely, friendly and super helpful. Pick up is from a dark car park which makes it difficult to inspect the car.

We would like to show our huge appreciation to Steph from Hertz Downtown in Perth. She gave us the most amazing service when we were stuck without a car due to the car transport being delayed from the east coast.

We firstly went to Avis in the Perth city location to book a car and were waved away and given a number to call by the customer service staff - we really felt they should have just helped us themselves and called for us. The customer service staff there were extremely unhelpful and were quite condescending in telling us that they had nothing available, even though we said we were happy to go to another location if they could organise it for us from there. The manager (blonde lady) was quite patronising.

We then went around the corner to Hertz Downtown and were served by Steph - who was like a breath of fresh air after the terrible service we had just received from Avis. Steph found us a solution and we left feeling very happy. Would absolutely recommend Steph from Avis Downtown for anyone needing to book a hire car in Perth.

I got free rental car from my insurance in Hertz. They changed me $200 telling me that I left dirt were we put the feet. It was raining and obviously you pick some. When I took the car it wasn’t explained to me that it could have been a problem. I would have clean.
The car was good. Owever they should advise the client before or during the return about the conditions.

Update on 26/10/21

I have open a dispute against them and I won. I got a full refund.
All good now!

After my car let me down down, i needed a car quickly to get to a job interview.i called in the day before and was qouted $73 dollers a day for the car and $40 a day for insurance.so i got the train and went down to pick up the car.when i arrived i was told it was $160 a day for the car plus $50 a day for insurance. Which to me is overpriced and also it wasted my time as i was clearly miss qouted.mistakes like this cost time and money.i wasnt impressed.the lady at the desk was polite and said she was sorry for the mistake.but this isnt really ideal wasting peoples time.i re booked with no birds and go a far better deal. $101 a day including insurance

Location, price and offering are great however the poor service by one of the officers at this depot leaves me no choice other than to publicly post a 1 star review. I have contacted the Head Office directly with specific details of the customer interaction. In addition, changes to T&Cs are not easily located so you can be left without any car altogether, even if you have paid for vehicle hire upfront and in full. Buyer beware.

They charge me twice. The remove $180 in my account the day I book it and the they remove another $225 in my account yesterday too.i was charged $405 for just 5 days for booking. I will never book a rental with them

I booked through a third party, and tried to show my coupon as instructed by the app I booked through. The customer service representative wouldn’t look at it, they stated that they didn’t need to it was all in their system. I had only booked that morning, they admonished me by telling me how lucky I was there was a car for me. They then proceeded to tell me how the excess reduction had been pushed through to them.

I challenged that once, but I wasn’t in the headspace to argue (I was in the process of moving, and just needed to get going). Turned out they didn’t know their own system, and the excess reduction being pushed through to them was garbage, probably something to do with my profile settings instead. I ended up paying for the insurance twice, because I wasn’t more persistent and the customer service representative didn’t want to take the time to listen.

I’m a gold member of Hertz, and have never had such bad service from them. There airport Perth branch is amazing but my advice would be to avoid the Perth Downtown branch after this experience. I know I will be.

PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF THIS RENTAL AGENCY IN YOUR BEST ENDEAVOUR.
They charged my credit card for almost $400 after I'd returned the vehicle (I paid everyting upfront). They did not provide reason, invoice, or receipt for the charge. I tried calling customer service. They told me to email my issue to an email address. I did so and it has been ten days since then. No reply. NOTHING. I do not recommand this car rental agency unless you want you money gone for no reason.

Andy jackson: not terribly polite when I picked up.when I dropped off the car I was told they were busy and to drop the keys off.big mistake.next day I receive a rather ominous email telling me I would be subject to extra charges for internal damage despite taking out the highest rate of insurance. I dragged my family down to the branch and am shown a massive gob of white liquid that has stained the passenger seat.i never saw this when i dropped off the car and it is somewhat difficult to miss even in a dark car park.what caused the mess i have no idea, but i won't be returning to hertz in a hurry and I wish I had taken photos of the car inside and out and insisted on a thorough inspection with an employee present busy or not.i recommend anyone else using this company does the same. I never had any bother using sixt.

Die Abholung des Fahrzeugs verlief schnell und absolut problemlos. Die Mitarbeiterin war professionell und höflich.
Zudem ist diese Hertz-Station aus dem Perth CBD über die kostenfreien CAT-Busse schnell und problemlos zu erreichen.
Scheinbar verfügt diese Hertz-Station auch über deutschsprachiges Personal. Am Nachbar-Counter wurde ein Kunde von einer deutschsprechenden Mitarbeitern betreut.

They refused to honour the quote I got from their third party supplier (firefly). They made no effort to resolve the price discrepancy between them and firefly. I ended up wasting over an hour picking up the car and ended up paying 40% more for no reason (no car upgrade or extra insurance etc). Neither fryfly or Hertz have taken any responsibility for the problem. Hertz should take responsibility for third party suppliers or stop doing business with them! Overall a terrible start to my holiday!

It's great service. If anyone looking for rent a car, I recommend Hertz downtown is the best place to go. Friendly staff and great service.
