Heritage Trail Lodge, Margaret River

We had an amazing stay at Heritage Tail Lodge. Terry and Helen went above and beyond to make our stay special. The lodges were spoitlessly clean with good facilities. The breakfast was really lovely, with a great selection. We definitely would love to stay again next time we're in WA.

The most beautiful retreat type accommodation - felt secluded but only short distance from town centre. Our hosts were superb, so helpful & friendly. We wished we could stay longer. Highly recommend it.

Stayed overnight and found the lodge to be very comfortable, rooms were clean and tidy, facilities were excellent, (loved tge Spa), just a 10 min walk to town, the bush setting was relaxing and peaceful with walking trails and the Brewery next door to go for a meal.
The only criticism I have is the room decor is just a bit ordinary, a few decorations, ie ornaments etc would have been a nice touch and there's a nice balcony that overlooks the bush, unfortunately there are times when you can't use it, when it's bucketing down with raIn like it was when we were there or when it's stinking hot, without any type of roof there's no protection from the weather, other than that we had a pleasant stay, the continental breakfast was great.
I would recommend the Heritage Trail lodge to anyone wanting a comfortable stay in Margaret River

Everything is amazing! Rooms are just beautiful. 10 out of 10! Couldnt fault anything. You must come wont be disappointed!

We stayed here for 3 nights while in the Margaret River region and it was well worth it! The staff were super friendly, the rooms were clean, spacious and inviting, the atmosphere was very relaxing, breakfast was delicious, and I just loved how the cabins overlooked the bushland. We even had parrots come and visit us on multiple occasions!

The accommodation is also very close to the Margaret River town centre (10-15 min walk), which made finding food and entertainment options very convenient. Though the destination seemed more like a couples retreat, we came as a group of 6 (in separate queen rooms) and it was perfect!

Excellent room, the gardens are magnificent, the property is surrounded by nature but a stone throw from town. The heritage trail is a nice walk to start the day, breakfast was good.
All in all a very pleasant stay.

Just enjoyed a 3 night anniversary getaway. (June 2022)
Spacious rooms but cosy feeling, had everything in you would need inc fridge, kettle etc, a spa bath and a lovely deck out the back to sit and admire the lovely gardens in drier weather.
Continental breakfast had lots of choices, local produce, more than enough to set you up for the day.
Location was great walking distance to brewhouse, Giniversity and 10 mins into town.
Bed n pillows very comfortable, slept soooo well.
Only 10 rooms so not too busy or noisy, nice for a romantic break.

We had an amazing 4 night stay in a spa room. We cannot fault any part of our stay, it was the highlight of our getaway. The room was spacious, clean, had a forest view, comfortable king size bed with a spa almost as big as the bed perfect for couples. Terry was welcoming, friendly and a daily breakfast with local produce was a must every morning. It is walking distance to central Margs which was perfect for us. Highly recommend and will return in the future.

I booked a nights stay for my partner and myself plus my 4 month old, the reviews were amazing but when I got there I was greeted by a man, very rushed and quick to take the money, we got into the room and there was hair on the bed/pillow and hair in the shower and also the spa bath wasn’t cleaned our room wasn’t clean there was still dirt on the floor in the bathroom and there is also mold on the walls nothing had been dusted, the heater we had on from 2pm-9am and didn’t really heat the room
Being kept awake all night by the (noise) from other couples isn’t ideal either NOT IMPRESSED!
When I handed the key back the man wasn’t very interested and was to busy talking to someone else would never stay again!

Friendly and professionally staff, beautiful garden setting, best breakfast and good location- you can have a drink and nice food next door in the brewery.

Amazing forest views, very friendly owners/staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them, highly recommend!

By far one of the best accommodations in Margaret River, right next to town and right next door to one of the best breweries in Margaret River.

Exceptional service, staff very helpful and attentive. Clean rooms, scrumptious breakfast. Very peaceful environment.

Very quiet and extremely comfortable. The spa was very nice. The only down side was the smoker in the unit next to ours whose smoke drifted into our unit.

Hidden Gem of Margaret River accommodation. Humble look from the outside but luxurious at the inside. Very cosy, neat, clean cottage and also very large to accommodate family of 4 (2 adults & 2 kids). Even with additional extra bed, the room still has space for adults to move around. The bathroom has a private jacuzzi too.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, we love it sooo much, if you are looking to stay in Margaret river I highly recommend this place. Thank you to all the staff everything was amazing

Beautiful accommodations.
The room was stylishly finished.
Had the accessibility friendly apartment.
Biggest issues with that was the height of the bed (although super comfy!), access to the spa bath (too difficult to get in and out of) & the towel rail (was located over the bath tub!).
Access to foxtel was a great bonus!

The staff were all friendly.
Breakfast was delicious and the selection was fantastic.
I loved how they supported local business by showing where everything came from.
The selection of reading material, local promotions and activity Ideas was mind blowing.
