Heartlands Veterinary Hospital

My mother in law just lost her dog and had the euthanasia done at Heartlands. A few days after she phoned them, asking for some clippings of her dog to have as a keepsake. They said they would charge $30 to do it. I don't understand how you can charge money to literally cut some fur off a dog. This is one of the saddest and soul crushing moments for a dog owner, and the gall of a vet to charge for that is outright disgusting.

The staff are very professional and friendly. Going in with a distressed animal and leaving knowing they were given the best attention and treatment.

My visit today was for sad reasons but the care and compassion shown to not only my family but also to my pooch, Ted, was wonderful. Thank you so much for making Teds final moments so peaceful

Did a wonderful job taking care of our cat. Made sure we were fully informed. Staff friendly caring and efficient. Facilities clean spacious and top notch.
Was expensive but is in line with most vets probably (having pets in your family is just as expensive sometimes as kids!) But without the Medicare back up. Had external pay later option that helps.

We have a great rapport with the vets. They've been brilliant looking after our sick animals and they were very compassionate looking after the ones whose lives were at an end.
We only have decent things to say about Heartlands Veterinary practice.

**FANTASTIC CARE** For the pet and the hoomans. We unfortunately had to put a cat to sleep on a long weekend.
1. You were there to do it.
2. The vet (who's name I can't recall) was *AWESOME*. Her people skills and bedside manner are brilliant. Please continue to foster this type of care.
3. Nothing was to much to ask. We were involved as much as we wanted to be in the process (which was the entire thing).

I can not recommend this clinic enough. I've used them a few times and will never go anywhere else.
Care factor appears to be at 100%
They are friendly and welcoming, and forthcoming with information and answers to questions.
Whilst we can't put a price on the welfare of our loved ones I'm going to mention price here because I was pleasantly surprised at their price, I half expected to have to sell my arm and leg for the care my horse needed. But I got to keep both

Highly recommend the wonderful team in York (Dr Paige, Dr Tracey, Dr Nat, Sally and Carrie)
Brought my horse in with an eye issue and he proved to be VERY CHALLENGING to examine. All sorted out though with patience, knowledge, caring and lots of sedation! And that was just for me! Seriously though, can’t thank them enough and will never hesitate to use their fantastic services.
Don’t judge the home made black out fly veil… made good use of my surgical hand towels and some cotton…

Just phoned Heartlands vet as I have 2 very old Isa browns who are slowly passing and are in discomfort. I thought it would be kinder to humanly put them to sleep. I was quoted $150. I can't believe the it costs so much for a small amount of medicine and 5 minutes of a vets time to put 2 chickens to sleep. Maybe they should be called Heartless Vetinary Clinic. Left angry and disappointed

Great understanding doctors and staff. The York clinic is open on Saturdays and they have after hours service.

Rang up regarding my dog with a serve infection in her ear and her whole side of her head inflamed. To be told in a very rude and abrupt manner that she can't be seen for four days. I've tried using this Vet several times now because it's convenient and close but never again after being spoken the way I was and the prices are grossly inflated to other Vets.

Highly recommend them I required emergency assistance and the emergency vet Tracey was beautiful she definitely made it easier for us. They were also very well priced. Can't thank them enough.

We had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to our much loved Westie "Stella" It was heartbreaking I would like to sincerely thank Missouri for her kindness and support to Stella, myself and my daughter through this time. We will miss our beautiful old girl.

Fantastic staff and Mo just makes himself at home sitting up on the chairs like he owns the place.

Lovely friendly, caring vets and staff. I trust them fully with the care of my dogs cats and horses.

Lovely with my puppy and very caring when dealing with a sick kid. Were wonderful letting my children take time to say goodbye.

I found that heartland vet very caring with our Bart especially when you see blood coming from your loving animal. The professional experience that you all show is to congratulate and l can count on you again thank you very much
