Hartland Camera Repairs reviews
37Dropping lenses and breaking equipment is such a gut wrenching feeling and I truely thought my 70 - 180 had no chance of being resurrected. Here we are though, two weeks after sending my glass off, it has come back in perfect condition. They even sent me back the parts that were repaired and wow! Thank you for your work and for helping me get my favourite lens back.
Older park. Glen, Sarah and Shane do what they can with what they have.
Pleasure to have stayed her for an extended period.
Friendly, efficient and affordable repair on my lens, will gladly come here again if I need any further repairs or servicing. Thanks guys
The only crew I trust with my equipment, the team is always smiling and a great service!:)
Can't recommend this place enough. I had a crack in the top LCD screen of my D850. Other camera places either didn't bother to respond to queries or told me I should fix it myself using Aliexpress parts! A quick Uber to Hartlands and a 10 mins wait and it was fixed. Brilliant. Friendly staff too.
My husband and I just had the rudest experience of our lives! We spoke with a lady named Karen who told me to shut up over phone. This company has had our camera sitting in their repairs for over 4 months and have been terrible at communicating with us. Our lens was sent in originally for a simple Lens clean. We rely on this lens for our income and livelihood and can not get over the inhumane way we were spoken to by this lady.
We are EXTREMELY disappointed in this company. I would urge anyone who is thinking of going here to not even bother.
Experienced friendly staff that have never failed to repair my cameras when time is limited due to commitments.
I sent in my Nikon Z 50mm lens which was still under warranty. The lens was returned to me in less than 2 weeks and the fault that was occuring is completely fixed.
I appreciate the time took to make sure the lens was properly secured for the trip back up to Kununurra.
Excellent work. Professional, quick and know what theyre doing!
Hartland has all the parts I need from previous generation Olympus cameras to the most recent models. The price is competitive, they are reliable (spareparts are genuine), professional (seem they are experienced in sending parts to different cities in Australia), responsive and quick in delivering the parts I need. Kelly and Karen are attentive and I am satisfied with my purchase and repeat orders.
Friendly, easy to deal with and quick to turn around my urgent lens repair. 100% would recommend these guys.
Very helpful & knowledgeable. Took my Nikon D850 in expecting to have to refinance my mortgage to fix it and before the ink dried on the paper the issue had been fixed & camera handed back, no charge. Also left another Nikon for a general service and was told Nikon had a recall on that model and were repairing the issue for free (plus postage of course). Very happy to have such a proffessional business to deal with.
The service game generally doesn't have a good reputation for overcharging and under delivering, HOWEVER, the team at Hartlands are about as honest and conscientious about their work that i would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. They provided me with a quote for a lens calibration and expectation of about a week to finish the work. I asked if that could be shortened as i need it for the weekend and they said they'd see what they could do. Lo and behold it was done in a day and a half, problem fixed, firmware upgraded and came in under the quoted price. Couldn't ask for anything more. Great job to all the Hartland team.
Sent my Sony A7r3 up to Hartlands after it was knocked over with my tripod. Karen and her husband were more than accommodating in helping me get the camera to them quickly and checking out what needed replacing. I needed the camera back quickly so the job was completed as soon as the part arrived and the communication between Karen and myself was excellent and reassuring. I live in the country and I felt Hartlands went above and beyond in trying to get back my camera to me in time for a trip away up north. Karen even offered to meet up with my daughter in Perth and to hand over my camera to her once it was finished. I wouldn’t hesitate in sending anything to them and would say that their type of exceptional service is hard to come by these days!
GREAT service! Friendly & professional staff. Time in shop was better than could have been hoped for. Estimated cost to repair was quite accurate. I highly recommend this shop!
Sent a Tamron lens for repair- from time it left home until it arrived back Karen has stayed in touch with the assessment, work required, which included a detailed quote.
It was well packaged for the return journey and is working well.
Highly recommend this company.
Great place! Super helpful and friendly. Stayed back past closing time to help me out. Would recommend!
Repaired my Tamron lens. Lens is like new very happy. Seemed to take a long time and some times communication could have been a little better (hence four stars). Technically no issue at all.
Hartland repaired my Canon 70-200mm lens which two other repairers had said the part was no longer available, very good price and complete within 2 weeks. Very happy with the service and outcome.
If I could give 10 stars I would. They looked after my Z6 like it was their own. Great service and great team.
Unprofessional, and money hungry. Very surprising given the previous good reviews. I brought my camera in as manual focus was not working and asked for this to be repaired. The manager, Karen, said a service and lens clean should sort the issue thus i agreed. However, there was no resolution of the issue, at a cost of $215. I did not discover this until I got home. I then e mailed the manager who told me that to change it to manual focus I just needed to move the ring on the focus lens. Had she told me this when I took the camera in, i would of course have avoided paying the $215 fee.
I then e-mailed a letter of complaint, asking if i could have a partial refund as a gesture of goodwill, as the work done had not solved the issue and was not what i had requested. They returned from leave on 4th Jan, 10 days later i had not heard back. I sent an e-mail to follow this up. The response was hostile and unapologetic, stating that I had requested a service and clean, which was untrue.
In addition, I had asked for a quote to repair the battery door. They came back and said that the M dial ring /encoder dial was sticking, recommended replacement, quoting me over $250 for the two jobs. I have never had any problems with a sticking and took it to my local camera club to ask an opinion, was advised it was total nonsense that it needed to be replaced. These two incidents have left me suspicious that Hartland are dishonest and will do everything they can to get the most money from the customer, recommending repairs or services that are not needed.
My issues with Hartland are the terrible customer service: not carrying out the request i had asked for (ie fix the manual focus issue), the lack of apology, hostility in response to my complaint, 10 day delay in response to my complaint and clearly trying to get the most money out of me. This whole thing could have been avoided if i had been told that the issue with the manual focus was easily corrected by a pull/push movement of the autofocus ring, that the camera was not even faulty.
Furthermore, I appreciate that judgement is not always the best and mistakes are made, especially in difficult times, but the response to my complaint was unacceptable. Obviously a gesture of good will in the form of a partial refund, as i requested would have been ideal, but even an apology and taking some responsibility (common courtesy in customer service) would have appeased me.
Prior to this I used to go to Cam's Camera repairs, and always had a good outcome, but this time chose Hartmanns as parking is more convenient. I regret that i did not go back there and would recommend Cam any day over Hartmanns.
