Harrisdale Discount Drug Store

Customer service is great but prices are extortionate. Purchased some prescription medication from here and to my shock is was double the price of Chemist Warehouse, actually double the price. Would love to support but cannot when they raise the prices that high

Bought nurofen kids strawberry 5-12 year got charge 32$ chemist warehouse is $19 way too much over price better off going somewhere elsewhere

Young girl today at the counter was very useless and rude. Not the chemist side. But the wollies side.

For nearly a year I was being charged $11 extra every month for eye drops until one day I tried price line then went back to Harrisdale Discount drug store which is a stone throw from my house. They started piece matching after proof of receipt from Priceline. Tonight went back and the price has apparently gone up by $7 and the famous Phil didn’t even let me know when I called to check if they had received the script and when I tried to query price with the new guy, Phil quickly interjects and says prices have gone up I will be taking business some where else next time for sure. Been buying this eye drop for about 2 years now I would rather take a drive somewhere else. Then be overcharged!

Last year my son bought a day-night cold flu for me and they charged some $3.50 extra then the online prices (now you can’t even check prices online). So I called in store and asked for clarification that why the prices are different in-store because we always used this pharmacy and never noticed until that day and while on call the lady on phone said online prices are not for our pharmacy but if you want you can come back and we will pay back the difference.
Anyways Chemist Warehouse coming in suburb and good luck with your prices.

Very high prices!
My script costed almost triple the price I used to pay at another discount drug store. Same for shop items - not sure where you get your pricing policy from (one random item listed for $10.99 while sold at other places for $5.99-$6.99).
Avoid or at least do your own research before using this pharmacy.

I wish I could leave a 10 star review for this place! My family is under covid isolation and needed items to help with the symptoms of covid as well as regular scripts. They helped us figure out what we needed, sorted out our scripts and had it at our door so quickly I was honestly shocked! It was just a few minutes! Their customer service was fabulous, their range fantastic and the delivery the quickest we’ve ever had any delivered.

I’m really disappointed at this store, to often they are short on stock vital stock and when they do have things it’s over priced.
We recently went to purchase RATs and were told it was $59 (5pk) in store, but when we checked the online price it was $45. When questioned they were happy to give the online price, but why not just give that price? Who are you trying to disadvantage?
Also in the past, when I had a script with 5 repeats, they forced me to buy all 5 at once instead of allowing me to purchase over time.

I only buy from here now when I’m desperate as I don’t trust them anymore, would rather drive 10mins further to the next chemist.

EXORBITANT RATES!
10 pack prescribed pain killer medication (Oxycodone) cost $25 at "Discount" chemist as opposed to $7 at Chemist Warehouse.

If you want the best place to be judged and disrespected, highly recommend going here. I think of the years I've been living in this area only once have i encountered a friendly staff member here.rude and unprofessional staff. If you have a script for anything i wouldn't go here unless you want to feel uncomfortable and judged.

Their prices are out of the roof! Charging double of the retail price. I can go any pharmacy nearby and get half the price. Also, the staff is very rude. Not recommended at all.

Please change the name of the store. Its not a discount drug store. Its double the price from other stores. Very misleading.

A woman who served me this afternoon in the prescription department was very rude, omg.i'll never ever back there again

I was told I would be able to purchase prescriptions at the same price as the pharmacy near my old house (which is still close). They honored the first time then put the price up on the repeats and said too bad you can't transfer it elsewhere and you'll have to pay.

The Caucasian male cashier with glasses was extremely rude. My doctor had sent my script straight to the pharmacy after my Telehealth consult and it was my first time retrieving my prescription medication this way. I went to the counter and told the cashier that my doctor had sent my script directly to this pharmacy and that I was picking it up. I couldn’t clearly hear him so I told him my doctors name. He then proceeded to ask me questions in such a condescending manner whilst shaking his head as if I had done something wrong. It was a few minutes of interaction but it got me leaving the pharmacy feeling bitter. Having said this, the hijabi worker was very polite and approachable.

Have experienced such rude treatment from one of your prescription staff,
I trust that you the owner need speak to her about polite treat the customer!

please avoid this pharmacy.today when I was asking for price match for the medicine very politely,
I also asked him only if possible,
But in reply he said there are customers are waiting behind you.you better go and buy from other chemist,
very rudely.

Please before you buy from here do a price check at other chemist's because they are not a "Discount Drug Store" as there name says.
They charged me $50 for a cream that i got at Greg's Discount Chemist at Southern River for $36 and they also would not give me a free blood sugar monitor and Greg's Discount Chemist gave me one for free.
I know where i am shopping from now on!

Dear Harrisdale and surrounding suburb resident,
Please don't ever walk in and buy any medicine from harrisdale discount drug store prior to checking the price in any other two store nearby.
I always come and by the medicine here and for first time I wanted to check the price in other store. I found the difference of $8 for amount of $24 medicine.
Good thing was as soon as I picked up this I called the discount drug store and they did pay me back the $8. And I did inform them that I will put the review to assist all other residents.
Drug name is coversyl*5, paid $25 but actual price is $17

Don't know over the years how much money we have lost

Avoid. Lots of other Pharmacies nearby. Slow & way way over priced. Generic script $18 vs $6 elsewhere, no excuse for being that uncompetitive.
