Hamptons City Beach

Been there twice and the first time was really bad. Worst fish I ever had from memory. The steak on the second visit was average too. Giving it a third try soon for someone else, so I have to go.

Superb location, good ambience. Food is fairly good but the menu is always the same. Service quality overall is good but not consistent between wait persons.

Had a lovely dinner here. The salmon I had was very fresh and perfectly cooked, which gives a well balanced taste.

Beach bar with decent beer selection and good food.

Great spot for boozy sunny arvos on the deck watching the sun go down.

Mussels were tasty and salmon gravalax was well seasoned.

Great ambience and views. Service is great. Had a few mis happenings in the past regarding food quality and service quality, but I am sure I will return again.

The food can be a little hit-and-miss, depending on what you order. It may be down to COVID crunch causing difficulties in retaining kitchen staff? For that, I have taken off 1 star - and hope that the consistency improves.

The views are amazing, as is the ambience and service. Top notch there - and one of the best in Perth.

Came here for dining as a final step of a beach walking. After being ignored for 10 minutes moved to another place.

My favourite place write on the beachfront in City Beach! Quality food and the seafood is so fresh. They also make the best Mojitos in Perth and accommodate my request for lots of extra lime!

Meal was great service from the waitresses was fine. The reason I am giving this rating is resulting from the rude patronising tone I experienced from the senior staff member I spoke with at the end of our dinner. Coming from a strong hospitality background I find it appalling for any employee let alone a superior staff member to belittle any patron for any reason. There is a much less insulting, more professionally mature manner to respond. Possibly if she had trained her staff efficiently we would not of been served a bottle of wine that differed from that of which we chose from the menu or perhaps the correct wine menu would of been provided to begin with. I will say again it was not the food nor the immediate service qaulity just the poor customer service skills shown by staff members in charge

I took my sweet love Rhonda here for dinner. We had some delicious fish and wine. I ended up getting lucky afterwards. Showed her a really good time for a couple minutes when we got back to the hotel. Thank you chefs. I think you had something to do with my glorious night.

Fantastic views, great coffee and yummy food! The wait for food was what let them down considering the restaurant wasn’t that busy. Wait staff were also very attentive and prompt.

Went for some evening tapas/cocktails, besides a fantastic viewing and setting the food was fantastic. Will definitely be back for the full onslaught meal!

Really enjoyed my meal here! Salmon, croquettes & Squid were really good!

It was really busy when we arrived but they were able to get us a seat by the window.

We've always loved having breakky at Hamptons but today the both the service and coffee were attrocious. We were met by a sour-faced woman behind the counter who ruined my morning.

Also, the view is obscured by filthy glass which is a real shame. Unlikely to be back anytime soon.

Of the 4 meals 3 were fine but 1 was poor. The kangaroo was tough, the asparagus was hard and the potato mash lumpy. On the positive side the twice cooked pork belly was great along with chilli mussels. The barramundi was a little dry.

The dessert took forever to turn up and was adequate when it did.

Will not rush to go back.

Great food, only negative is they try to rush you through. Sat down with friends and pestered within 2 to 3 minutes for food orders before we'd ordered drinks. Then a couple of minutes later a different wait person arrived asking what food we wanted. We hadn't looked at the menu yet.
But food great as always and the 6 of us took our time.

It's a wonderful place for breakfast or a coffee on a wintry day. Wonderful views of the ocean and a great selection of food and beverages.

There wasn't anything particularly wrong with our meals, however, the meals were not worth the price. Also a very loud atmosphere, I couldn't hear the other people on my table.

We had a 9 head family dinner here that was a special occasion. The staff responsible for our service were most obliging and friendly. The food quality was great and the evening one to remember. Thank you all at Hamptons.
