Fabulous. Fantastic food with a wonderful sunset view. Wide range on the menu, generous portions and a kids menu, one of our favourites this holiday

Fantastic coffee and go lie on the wooden reclining seats nearby and enjoy the view of the beach and rotto whilst patting the dog.

Also very good both in the casual area and the restaurant inside. Food is good, love the stone and wood pacific ale.

Exceptional service from all staff, they went above and beyond to ensure my daughter had a wonderful birthday lunch. She had booked an outside table and they also held a table inside for us because it was windy, which we accepted with pleasure. The food arrived quickly which was great for the children and everybody thoroughly enjoyed their food. Thank you, we will be back

Recently visited for lunch and it was busy and somewhat hectic but we were welcomed promptly and seated quickly. Service is efficient, could not really fault the staff except maybe they could smile a bit? I know this is a very minor quibble.
Meals came out quickly, but the food was very good and we both enjoyed our meals. The views are beautiful looking over the beach, they really do have a wonderful location.
For dessert my wife had the Hampton mess which she enjoyed, unfortunately my carrot cake was a bit stale.
All in all though, an enjoyable visit and would be happy to return again.

First time for breakfast at Hamptons. Took my staff there for Xmas function. Appeared to be short staffed & under pressure. Thought good quality was good

We booked 2 weeks ago for 10 people on Sunday 9th January for lunch only to receive a call the day before to be told they have double booked us and our booking was cancelled. We now have less than 24 hours to find somewhere to spend my sister's 21st birthday family lunch the first weekend of restrictions being lifted. Apparently all they could do was apologize for ruining my sister's 21st birthday.

In response to your reply, yes it was booked under a family members name. It was the booking for 10 that was cancelled

Food was decent (salmon dish was very small and not really filling for the price)

Location was great. Bomba Alaska sucked. Staff were ok.

Our party of 11 were celebrating my daughter’s 30th birthday. Location is simply magnificent. Drinks menu was great. Food was lovely. Table wait-staff were lovely & efficient. 5 stars for sure. But unfortunately the senior staff member who took our payment was rude & very patronising. One of our party went up to pay just for his & his wife’s meal & was told (quite rudely) they did not do split billing. As it’s in the middle of Covid, no-one had cash & half of our party are seniors. So not tech savvy with bank transfers etc. I have been to much smaller (& much less expensive) restaurants where split billing is not an issue. This member of staff relented & said she would split the bill this time. But would not do this next time. She then preceded to tell all the rest of our party when we went up to pay exactly the same thing. Even though the rest of us didn’t know about the argument about split billing. It was like being told off for something you didn’t know you had done.
Such a shame as we had all just spoken about what a lovely time we had all had. And that we would definitely be back. Not so sure that will be happening now. Not because they don’t split bills. But the way it was handled

Such a shame this place is a big fail. Service is really lacking, even when it's quiet. No one at the front desk for a long time to start with. They said we only had 10mins to order before the kitchen closes, but then no one came to us so we had to get up and find someone. Then once we finally got service the server ordered an additional dish we were talking to our son about but decided not to order. I asked if the bacon is the stringy fatty part or the eye, was told it's both and only the stringy fatty part came out. Also, you're a professional kitchen right? You seriously have to close for a period to switch from breakfast to lunch? You can't put the eggs away and pull the chicken out at the same time? It's poor form for a quality restaurant to have a period during open hours when your customers can't order food. This is not normal in a global setting.

Lastly the icing on the cake. Hamptons accepted a booking on new year's Day for our family, but ended up being closed, and not notifying us. So our whole family is stuck. The location and name has such potential, but sadly it's a fail.

The fish & chips that I ordered unfortunately did not come to my expectation being told the Hamptons is a posh place and no casual dressing. The fish had very thick batter with a taste of over used cooking oil and the chips overfried. The salad was very good.
The staff were extremely friendly.

What was a lovely brunch with friends ruined by an unnecessarily rude and angry manager. As we were chatting and finishing up our drinks, she came over to our table and yelled at us to move on as they apparently needed our table for a booking, even though there were plenty of tables available, including one of the same size right next to us. Her tone was completely unacceptable as this was the first time she had come to talk to us, and we had no knowledge of another booking. I’d understand her rush if they were extremely busy, however we were one of the only tables seated inside and we were still enjoying our drinks. I cannot believe this is how the manager treats paying customers. It’s safe to say our group was appalled and shocked at her behaviour and won’t be coming back anytime soon. Such a shame, as the food and table wait-staff had been fantastic.

Wow, wow, wow! What an incredible place to enjoy a meal and drinks. The location is absolutely stunning. Set on City Beach overlooking the spectacular ocean.

The drinks menu is huge and the martinis were most enjoyable. The food is tasty and so well presented.

We had a few entree dishes but will definitely try a main next time. The pork belly looked incredible and the fellow diners stated it was delicious.

The staff are professional and super helpful. One of the best places I've visited for a while. Great ambience!

What a breath of fresh air. Beautiful seating with spectacular views Awesome friendly service delicious well presented food. Price irrelevant its well worth what they charge but really not expensive at all. Well done to the whole team Thanks for a pleasant evening

Service was deplorable, possibly the worst I have ever experienced. Waited close to 45mins for someone to come and clear our plates from starters and take orders for mains. Had the most miserable person alive come and take a drinks order from us. After finishing mains sat chatting for another 30mins without anyone come the clear plates once again and offer us another drink. Much of the lunch crowd had cleared by the time we sat down, so can't even make the excuse of it being busy - just seemed like no one could care less. Save your money and go elsewhere

Friendly staff, freshly cooked delicious food accompanied by a great view. I could not fault a single thing. The price was worth it given the quality of the food and the location. Ample free parking is available. The Halloumi Salad and Fish and chips were both great. The salad that accompanied the fish was not just an afterthought, it too had great flavour and the fish was not oily.

Other than the views and floor staff the Hamptons was disappointing. The food was bland, I was enjoying the little flavours in my food chilli placed on the side of my dish (in a little dip plate). When a waiter came by and said 'oh that's not yours' she then took it off my plate and gave it to the other girl sitting on our table. Professional would have been to leave it on my plate and go and get another 4 slithers of chilli for the other diner. All up we had 6 diners on our table and all were on the same page, the dining experience was poor.
