Gumleaf Cottage Farmstay

Cathy is amazing. If you want your child to get out in nature and experience what farm life is like by staying on a working farm then this is definitely the place to go. Gumleaf is so easy to get to and the little apartment is really comfortable. I absolutely loved remembering what it was like to wake up in the morning to the sounds, the light and the energy of a farm.

Fabulous stay with my 2 granddaughters. Cathy was fantastic with the girls and they loved the feeding of the animals, horse riding, night walk and saw so many animals. Accomodation was excellent, very clean, comfortable and lovely heating throughout. Perfect for our little break. We had quite a bit of rain but we still managed to have an awesome time.
So much to see in the area. Had a fabulous lunch in the Mundaring Tavern and lovely village shops nearby.
We will be back!

A v lovely place. My family of 5 spent 3 nights there. Place was well kept and amenities are plentiful. Cathy was very patient with us. (we had a young child with us). Would definitely return

This is our second absolutely brilliant stay at Gumleaf Cottage. Could not recommend this farmstay any higher! We have a 18mo & 5yo & you literally just need to pack your clothes. Fletcher everything child related that we could have possibly needed is supplied. On top of the animal feeding, tractor rides & pony rides etc, there’s play equipment outside, a trampoline & a heap of outdoor toys. The cottage is also equipped with toys & games for kids. You’ll never be looking for ways to keep kids entertained… you’ll be wondering how you’ll fit it all in. Cathy shows genuine care & love towards the guests and helped our sick little boy have the absolute time of his life. 100/10!

We had a lovely stay at this tranquil, picturesque farm. The walks around it were very peaceful and relaxing. The farm owner, Cathy, was very friendly and helpful.

We had a lot of fun picking eggs, feeding the animals and playing with her friendly dogs. I went for a horse riding lesson with her and learnt a lot within that 1 hour. She patiently explained all the technicalities of grooming and riding a horse, something many other horse riding tours don’t do. We highly recommend this farmstay and look forward to coming back soon!

Our family midweek birthday stay was late starting and then cut short unexpectedly but Cathy and Jade both made our family feel very special and welcome going out of their way to make sure it was still a very special time for us.
From the beautiful rustic cottage, possum spotting, riding the tractor trailer, feeding goats, pony rides, collecting eggs, petting guinea-pigs & rabbits and of course falling in love with the domestic pets (especially Teddy) this farmstay has everything kids and adults need for a wonderful getaway…. All 45 mins from home.

Cottage was clean with fresh smelling sheets. Cathy was a lovely host. Jade, who took the kids on the tractor ride to feed the animals in the morning, was warm and lovely to the kids too. The kids loved the tractor ride, feeding the animals, collecting eggs, exploring the property, playing with the water feature, sitting around the fire pit toasting marshmallows. 2 nights was a perfect amount of time for us and we enjoyed every minute. Added bonus of an outdoor toilet in case the inside toilet was occupied!

What an amazing place. I had never heard about this farm stay but Covid border restrictions made me stumble across it when looking for a local family get away. My kids adored everything about this place from feeding the animals every day, the quaint little farmers cottage, Cathy and Jade as well as the friendly dogs. The accommodation has been well catered for families with young kids making it an easy get away.
My youngest cried when we checked out as she didn't want to leave. We can't wait to come back for another visit. Thanks Cathy and Jade for the wonderful experience.

Friendly people, friendly animals. Beds were comfy. Feeding the animals was a great experience for the kids.

My family and I love our stay at Gumleaf Cottage Farmstay and we are already missing this lovely farm. Cathy was very helpful and friendly. Jade was very encouraging to my son when we were doing the animal feedings. My son loves the quad bike experience. I miss all the animals in the farm, the beautiful sweet cats Possum and Smudge. Lovely dogs like Tux always so welcoming! My son also did the Pony ride with Micky, super sweet Pony! This stay exceeded our expectations! Authentic farm experience.
