Gar Heng Chinese Restaurant

Very nice food here and fast service. The price is very reasonable and the servings are generous. They have a wide menu and you can dine in. Convenient location for those around South Coast Highway. If you phone ahead they will usually have your order ready to be picked up in 20-30 minutes.

Great food, just the wait when it is flat out is longer than the time you are told to come collect.

It said close at 9pm, we arrived the restaurant before 8: 30pm from a long drive, it was half dark inside (the open sign at the door was still on), there were still people chatting inside the kitchen so I asked “Excuse me, Are you closed up already? ” The guy gave me a long face and throw the calculator on the desk. It’s totally fine if you are closing up, there were plenty of restaurants still open. He ruined the first impression of Albany for us. Totally unacceptable.

So disgusting. Firstly they gave me the wrong chicken dish then I notice that there is no chicken inside the batter.same with the pork. So gross.

No website, no facebook page, customer service is average, the menu is poorly laid out and doesnt explain anything, the staff struggle to understand you, the premises looks like it was made in the 90s and left that way. The second time we tried the place we ordered mongolian beef and mongolian lamb, we got two correctly labelled boxes but both were lamb. The owner simply doesnt care. Two stars because the food was good

If you want authentic Chinese food, this is not the place you’re looking for. However, if want something cheaper, the food here is good enough for its price.

Servings are always generous and the meals are delicious. Prices are fair and the service is fast and efficient. I've never had a bad dish yet to date. By far my favourite Chinese restaurant in Albany.

Food was burnt, took it back. Wouldn't let me get a refund but gave me another dish which was again. BURNT! I gave up and wasted my money

Service was terrible. We ordered at 6: 00 pm and we're told a 20 min wait. We waited for 2 hours! We went up 4 times and were told they were just packing it up. Fried rice was burnt, to the point of being black. Satay beef and the beef and cashews were horrible, the beef actually tasted off and was unedible.garlic prawns were alright and the honey chicken was actually quite nice. But after that service we won't be back!

Not fancy but good prices and a nice place just to have a casual dinner with friends or family.

An excellent lunch: delicious and ample serves promptly prepared and provided in an efficient and friendly way.

Awesome food. The staff are very thoughtful and they cook the food perfectly. They are happy to cater to dietary needs. We visit here very often and enjoy the $10 lunch special.

Tried it for the first time tonight and was very impressed with the food. Will be going back again that's for sure.
