Furaibo Izakaya Bar & Restaurant reviews
71Great food. Some of the best scallops I've had and amazing selection of skewers. Steak was cooked and seasoned really well too. The staff were also amazing and welcoming ️ would come back and recommend to others
Was a wonderful surprise to find amazing wings at a Japanese restaurant. Highly recommend their yakitori and rice balls. Good selection of drinks as well.
Staff was very accommodating despite the busy atmosphere. It was pleasant to chat with Maria as she was serving us.
Quality Japanese dining. Perfect way to catch up with friends in the city for a decent lunch and a chat. Nice and quiet sitting area inside that feels like a sanctuary from the busy CBD life. They catered for my dietary requirements and I can tell you it’s not always easy. They listened to our feedback on the food and showed a commitment to continuously improve. Restaurants like this are part of what makes Perth a great city.
Unbelievably good. Can't wait to go again. There's so much more on the menu I want to try.
Apparently this restaurant is too good to answer calls about your reservation. Waste of time booking if you can’t even contact the restaurant
We had dinner there, we were allocated with the booth seat, it was very cramped, not really comfortable, only had 90 min dinning time unless you ask for additional time when making a booking. The food was alright, not as good as expected. The waitress was very friendly. Overall, average.
Atmosphere, food, there's a reason why it's fully booked out/reserved most nights. There were just a few things that bothered me ever so much that I just can't give it 5 stars; hopefully seen as constructive criticism.
90% of duck was juicy, tender, delicious - edges of the breast were chewy
3 pieces of the Korean bbq ribs were chewy, almost like rubber, the rest was crispy and fab.
Desserts & drinks we wanted were out but the plum pie & lychee mocktail were delicious.
My friend & I were waiting for a good 30mins before getting served, and the couple next to us who walked in 5mins ago got served almost immediately.
We asked for a couple of things mid-meal but seemed to have forgotten about us for 12-15mins, it wasn't that busy yet either so I'm not sure why.
These small issues just kept adding up and kind of dampened an otherwise good night out.
Please work on flow and be mindful of wait times and I think everyone will be happy.
Horribly disappointed. Was a long time customer of the restaurant in Motoyama, Japan and was delighted when Furaibo opened in Perth. Have enjoyed the food there on numerous occasions but went tonight and the food was awful! Tebasaki came out an hour after ordering and was cold and way too salty. Tebasaki (chicken wings) is a signature dish for Furaibo and they couldn't even do that right. Plan to send an email to the Japanese main restaurant to let them know how bad it was.
Had lunch here today with my family for my lil brother's bday and it was amazing! The food was delicious and high quality at a decent price. Maria, the lady who served us was very nice and accomodating. She recommended us to come back to try their dinner menu and we definitely will! Highly recommend
Massively underated restraunt!
We almost missed it due to starting off sitting downstairs at the bar and we were about to order off the express menu (which looked pretty similar in the end)
Moving up stairs saw much better service and a great place for a night out. Wait staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was on par with some of the best izakaya style food I've had. The chicken heart and tongue especially were a delight. We loved the theatre with the table flamed wyagu beef and it's quality did not disappoint!
The not so fresh and dense cheese cake was probably the only let down, but had a suprise side of a delightful soy sauce infused ice-cream. The odd pairings of a crumb, berry, cheesecake and soy ice cream could probably get a bit of a review
Certain menu items (skewers and saba) were great and others (chicken wings) were slightly lack lustre. Menu is pretty limited especially for lunch, but also for dinner. Communication between staff can be improved.
First of all menu looked great so I choose to go
Soba noodle was so soggy with out any bite
It seems like noodle cooked long times ago
Same as pasta very soggy
Grilled mackerel was very chewy you can say it is frozen open from pack and grill
Most of food are very expensive which is ok of
ingredients are nice and fresh but unfortunately
Ingredients used for most of food was
Hopeless
I will never come back
It was very disappointing
Great place to drink a glass of vine, coffe or just to meet friends and watch the crowds from the veranda on the 1st floor- nice, cozy place, but the Food:
This was not the greatest experience for me.
I am a fish lover and simply after the xmass diner with my friends I've got a stomach problem. Never happened to me before?
I spent all night in the toilet.
I've paid aprox $50 for a starter and I will never reccoment this place just because this simple little tiny starter- herring. Please watch out for this starter- for your safety.
Quality produce & flavours - overall it was a great meal. Star was the wagyu aburi nigiri which is a must order. However, many of the hot dishes came out at the same time so we felt like we had to eat quickly to avoid them getting cold. We were advised of the 1.5 hour seating and do feel like 2 hours would be more appropriate to properly enjoy ourselves. Would recommend trying Furaibo at least once.
High quality ingredients used in every dish. Will definitely order the tebasaki wings and wagyu aburi again.
Service was spectacular and very accommodating considering we were running half an hour late. We brought a cake and they were kind enough to reset the table and lit the candles for us.
Well to be fair
Their foods quality are in the high ranking
Foods serve really fast and portion are pretty generous too
However this is definitely not a place where you think you can slowly enjoy your meal have a few drinks and stay for a bit.
We are only allowed 1.5hour window and if you are slightly late then too bad you only left an hour for you to look at menu and place your order
Eat and leave
I can see their waitress are mostly very friendly except that particular waiter who served us.
He rushed us for ordering from the moment we sit down until the moment we left
Won’t be back again
Thanks
Had high expectations but the service and the food was awful
The wait staff did not even explain what the dish was or the side dish was… had to eat not knowing what I was having
And felt like being ignored by the wait staff (left the food on the edge of the table and buggered off)
The side plates were chipped and bad service for an overpriced restaurant
Not worth my dollar
Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our every single visit.
They have lunch and dinner menu, I suggest you try the lunch set menu, it's a very good deal for sure.
Attention here! Wagyu 9+ Beef Aburi Nigiri is absolutely amazing! Must try!
Booking is necessary to secure your table especially the weekend.
Everything we ordered was awesome. Presentation was beautiful and taste was even better. Best authentic Japanese flavours and delicious cocktails. Will be back!
Chef‘s sashimi platter 5*4(yellow tail fish; king fish; salmon; tuna; scallop); Scotch fillet harvey beef 250g; Wagyu 9+beef aburi nigiri. I will recommend sashimi, it’s fresh!
