Fremantle Leisure Centre reviews
38Fantastic facility. The pools are great and very well managed. Change facilities are also great and it is very well priced for what u get.
Leisure centre which is a bit dated but does feature a rehabilitation pool that is salt water.
It is a great place for general fitness and also swimming lessons for young children.
The hydrotherapy pool is so warm and the special salts and minerals make you more bouyant and it's just great. Only problem is the hours it's open to the public are limited and entry fees can be a title high for those on low incomes. Of course the large indoor pool is slightly heated with a great spa and whirlpool for Exercise and tberaoy as well as being shallow enough for kids to enjoy with play equipment as well. Of course there's the Olympic size lane pool for serious swimmers and nice hot showers to rinse off after. A great venue.
A lovely centre for families - well-kept grounds, 3 pools including a hydrotherapy pool, gym, creche. My daughter loves her swimming lessons here. It would be great if the gym had a few more classes!
Excellent pools, tennis, bowls and a big cricket ground all within walking distance of Fremantle city centre.
Nice spot fresh and kept well maintained, the gym classes are well instructed and the gym equipment is up good quality. The creche is clean maximum two hours and has a good split of carers to kids. The pools are clean and the staff are friendly. My only gripe is top price Fremantle parking-ouch!
Great place to spend a weekend with family that won't break your bank. Kids play slides need fixing up a bit but a great place to spend a day out
Go to gym every Tuesday. Gym has no squat racks, bar or ez bars. Has got some machine 2 benches and dumbbells. Floor space is good and staff are friendly.
Yeah and I'll take that as a plus I do like the Yum the food place what see militia place and does really good coffee in different foods eyes and Foods in if selection few good looking things I
Unfortunatley a very low level of security and safety. It's not the first time I notice doggy people coming in and out without paying and for sure just for stealing stuff from the visitors.
They will even steal your socks and underwear to sell in the op shop to get a dollar for a buzz. It's not possible to shower without watching your dress at the same time.
It will be probably a good idea to come already in your swimmers and take your shower elsewhere? So you will be sure no one will rip you off and you will have to leave naked.
The English lady on the front counter had a bit of an attitude but otherwise the place was fairly reasonable. Suitable swimming areas for all ages groups from baby to adult. There is kiosk on site (the coffee was below average but I expected that and I don't include that in the review score). The place was good for a kid's party, they have a giant inflatable crocodile for the kid's party (1 hour usage) and BBQ for sausage sizzles. There was paid parking available even on busy Sunday lunch time in Freo. The security lockers were quite cheap, something like $2 for 4 hours. There is also a small shop there with swimming supplies (bathers etc) and a creche.
A great place for a swim wether on your own or with the children, be prepared to pay a fee to watch your children swim though...
Spoilt for choice with pools; friendly staff. Could do with a few extra family changing rooms though.
Kids and I love Freo pool facilities and classes and a huge thank you to Chris who went the extra miles and sorted out some goggle issues for us.
Pool rules are not enforced. You get people going for a walk in the Lap lane at busy times, when there is a dedicated Walking lane. Very frustrating. 50m pool is a bit cold for winter outdoors swimming. Either go early or late in the day if you want a decent swim.
Heated indoor pool are shallow (1.05m). Only deeper pool is outside. Not ideal for winter swimming.
My local. Pool seems a little cold. Otherwise good facility. Friendly staff mainly. Good little kiosk.
