Extremely bad customer service!
I bought 4 dining chairs on 17.11.2023
They were delivered on 22.12.2023 and one chair was broken in the box. I filled in the warranty form online and was told by Harry from the customer service team that an exchange will be actioned by the admin team and that the lead time would be 2-4 weeks. The admin team didn’t contact me at all. I sent a follow-up email to Harry on 08.12.2023 asking when the chair would arrive and never got a reply. I then contacted the customer experience team on 17.12.2023 stating my case and asking for an update. I never got a reply to that email either. On 19.12.2023 I went to the Freedom shop in Joondalup where I purchased the chairs and they sent an email to the admin team. It’s 27.12.2023 today and I still haven’t heard back. This very bad customer service! Not happy!

Where do I even start? I entered the store, frazzled, undecided, stressed… then I was approached my Mal. Mal had all the time in the world for me, answered every question I had, calmed me and we even had a good laugh together. Mal was knowledgeable about all the products, friendly and professional! I can’t wait to head back in next week to secure some decorative pieces for our new home. Every shop needs someone like Mal! Thank you again.

I shopped a few months ago, for a few bits to finish my renovations. Amanda’s service was amazing; she assisted me with choosing cushions, lamps, vases and ornaments. She was amazing!

Paid a substantial amount of money for furniture and given a wait time, was fobbed off when I went into the shop to ask where my furniture was and the customer service couldn’t understand it was over the period quoted, waited four months then received defective goods, a leather chair with a patch on it. That was replaced. Don’t shop there they will take your money for goods tell you it will arrive in a certain time knowing it won’t. Don’t quality check your items before giving them to you and fob you off when you question where your paid goods are. A poor experience for us.

Went to freedom Joondalup to pick up a click and collect item.
I was served by Mal- super friendly and amazing.
I had forgotten my ID, and had given birth the following Monday.
Which meant I was unable to pick up my ID.

Mal contacted me and shipped my ID to my address.

Gold star costume service!

Was served by Sarah S, she literally couldn’t have gone further out her way to help me with my art work order! Super happy with the service and the pieces themselves.

Only thing I would say is that I wasn’t told when they were being delivered, so I was surprised when they turned up the next day. But I was home all week so no big deal

I would have given a 5-Star review; however I was talked out of buying the original rug I loved and ended up missing out on a special offer that day. I returned the original rug I purchased and then returned four days later to buy the one I thought would look perfect in our family room (it does). Sarah was extremely helpful throughout my purchases (she did not talk me out of purchasing the original rug) and I would wholeheartedly look for Sarah again to assist me with any future purchases. Wouldn’t let me exchange a chair after I took it home and sat on it twice (it’s uncomfortable and I just needed a chair with a higher back). Total waste

Me and my partner walked in and none of the employees even acknowledged us. One lady with long curly dark hair walked past us several times and didn’t even bother to say hello.
The general aura was very cold and everyone looked angry or bored.
Won’t be coming back.

Love this store! So many beautiful items and the staff is always super friendly. Especially Alice, who is just a delight and so warm and inviting. She makes my little girl feel so special by giving her stickers and my little girl is a huge fan! Thank you so much:)

Parts of the wood on the cabined are very discoloured and not matching the overall look of the colour range of the cabinet. Carching eye yellow stains are visible on the top of the cabinet and the face of the doors. As well as on the one of the shelve on the second cabinet.
Additionally I needed to wait for delivery longer than the expected period, was promised money back for delivery and noone even follow up or contact me for this!

They did not accept a claim and person on the phone “Sarah” was rude when I said that I am not satisfied with the product.

Furthermore they have offered recommendations of timber care products that will help maintain the appearance and distinct finish of the furniture. Just to spend more money.

Looking at comments I am sure there is not even worth to contact them again

I usually love Freedom - but this store in particular is a disgrace. I ordered a bookshelf and was delivered the wrong item. When I phoned to report this I was told it would be sorted - this was in July 2021. By January 2022 this issue is still not resolved. I have the wrong item being stored/taking up space in my home. I am continuously told people will phone me back and they never do - whenever I phone, the person I need to speak to is conveniently never available. The Osborne Park store even tried to help me resolve this issue when I mentioned it to them - above and beyond - but still no resolve from Joondalup. I will never shop at this store again and am consulting the with ACCC in regards to having my money refunded.
