Frank's Barbecue Texas Smokehouse

"Moist" brisket was dry and chewy. Corn tasted frozen and must have been boiled with butter. Was left with a watery butter soup in the cup. After spending $60, we were only eating because we needed fuel at that point.

Stood at the counter for a few minutes before someone came up to take an order, but they were friendly enough.

Place was dead for a Saturday afternoon. Good old school blues music playing, but the Texas vibes felt super forced.

Spicy BBQ sauce was great.

Loaded fries not bad, but that shouldn't be the best item on the menu for a place marketed as Texas BBQ.

Hoping this was an off day, and will most likely come back at some point to try again. I want to believe.

Great place if you are a fan of Texas BBQ. Enjoyed the whole experience from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. Loved the endless soft drink refills option.

My favourite barbecue joint. The ribs are awesome and the moist brisket. Cocktails are done well as well. My kind of background music.

So disappointing us to love this place gone down hill so badly. Meat combo lunch special and burger. Lunch combo cold, Mac and cheese bland and dry meat dry and cold, mash only decent thing. Husbands burger came out Burger came out when I was half way thru mine lunch, cold messy and sloppy spicy sauce that not supposed to be on it. Won’t return. Service slow and attitude of not wanting to be there. Very sad as loved this place

Seems “Frank” has left? … regulars since day one but sadly this this will be our last meal here! … Ribs seemed boiled, pulled pork certainly wasn’t smoked and the portion would feed one! … refund was given so thank you! … Let me know when Franks back from Texas.

Wow! The food is incredible, the price is very reasonable, the style/vibe of the place is right on point. That ice tea is spot on southern sweet tea. These guys have absolutely nailed it! Ill be back no questions. Well done

I keep going back and I keep being disappointed and upset in the belly. No smoke ring on brisket generally means liquid smoke.very strong after taste and feeling ill for hours afterwards. Meat is tender but not again!

This place has a great concept, order at the counter, get your food and drinks, take back to your table with wax paper plates. Great outdoor area, service was friendly however the food was average. Food could have been hotter (was lukewarm), needed plenty of BBQ sauce for flavour.

I was trying to find a fault somewhere in the system but couldn’t find any. They have everything just right here at franks.
I had pork ribs which were the best I’ve had from a smoked house venue, the rub was perfect.
The brisket patty burger was great also. I’ve never had a brisket patty before so it was different but nice.
The prices were the best I’ve seen anywhere in Australia and if u read my reviews I’ve been to a few places.
The venue itself was perfect, it wasn’t over the top Texas but just right in having a rustic style and super family friendly.
The drinks weren’t over the top as in names, prices and mixes. And soft drinks I think were free.
I have a few more places to check out in Western Australia to check out but I’ll definitely be going back here.

Not a bad joint, would be a great day out in summer. The food is good but if you're right into BBQ and the benchmark is Big Dons, it's about half way there

The brisket really was lovely and tender, chicken wings were good, mac and cheese was yummy, hot chips were so-so. We had leftover brisket and a few wings so grabbed a doggy bag. However, the following day when leftover brisket was reheated, the 'BBQ' smell was soooo over-powering, I couldn't stand it, so I put it out for the dog- and he wouldn't eat it either!
Sooo, lesson learnt - the brisket is not good reheated the following day unfortunately
The outdoor undercover dining was good but it was a stinking hot night, so that made it a tad uncomfortable.

The $10 Wednesday cheeseburger & fries special is fantastic value. Portion was generous, cheese was melty, fries were crispy and perfect. I added the bottled BBQ sauce on the table to my burger to give it an extra kick. Service was also super friendly. I'll be back soon!

The Cajun wings were really good! Nicely smoked wings, good seasoning. They are small but tasty! The dip that comes with it is tasty too, it tasted like a sour cream and chives and onion dip.

Far too expensive for portion sizes.
A little chalky for my liking. Relyed too much on the sauce for flavour.

Food was cold; chips were also cold, fatty & oily; minced meat in nachos were smelly. Smallest serving of full rack of ribs.
Looks like part of the job was to go to every table and ask how the food was. The response we got was “we’ll make sure next time will be hot”: D

Best bbq in all of Australia and believe me I’ve tried many places especially in Melbourne. It may even be the best I’ve ever had. Quality is impeccable and the taste is outrageously good. We had the pork ribs, brisket, Mac and cheese and mashed potato. Also had the chicken wings (not in the photo). The meat was super tender and the sides were spot on. Haven’t even mentioned how cool the vibe is there! I’ll be back any time I’m visiting Perth. Or maybe you can open a location in Melbourne! Please!

Great cool location to eat good well priced bbq and drinks. We had a problem with a side and the waitress and manager approached us and couldn't do enough to remedy situation. Great customer service! A rare thing in WA.

My family and I visited Franks last weekend and had an amazing experience. The food is all reasonably priced, came out only minutes after ordering it and most importantly tasted great. I can't wait to go back again soon and check out their weekly specials.

Great location. Big place with both indoor and outdoor seatings. The whole atmosphere is great, very much westernized. Food; we ordered all the American classic. The meat, tender, of course, but flavour-wise, u get one taste for most smoked-meat. Burgers are alright. Then, The Buffalo wings; it is so American thing and so is the sausage. Expectation for American Buffalo wings and sausages, is quite high. The size of the wings here, however, are small. The picture is taken so up close to make it looks big. Looking at the price of buffalo wings, however, i guess it fits the price. The taste im sure there s room for improvement. Wings are served with 3 tiny sticks of celery. The sausages are ok. Nothing can go wrong with frankfurters. Nachos, is another American classic. Kids usually love Nachos. Their comparison usually go back to Hard Rock Cafe Nachos. (Hard Rock cafe despite being originated from London, it's very popular in America until today). It's alright with room for improvement too. Drink/beverages, you can get free refill of soft drink. Margarita, the cocktail, what can i say, it's alright but (sigh.). This is a great place to unwind with family, friends and even special ones. They already have the place and atmosphere Americanized, the only thing left is the food. American is famous with big size, big portion, very generous and their food is, well, fearless. Last but not least, they have good staffs. Service is fast.

Plastic cutlery and paper plates with poor presentation of food. Would not recommend unless you want to experience below average meals that are over priced. It's more like food you would find at a market and not that of quality you would expect at a restaurant.
