Tried the standard fish and chips at $16.90, for lunch. The chips were average and the fish was very poor quality. The meat was like it was processed. Wont be back.

Fresh. Some of the best Squid rings we've had in a long time. Cooked in Sunflower Oil which is a good change to the stodgy commercial oil most use.
Price is up there but happy to pay a tad more for quality.
Ordered 18 rings and got 23 in the box. BONUS THANKS.

Picked up some fish and chips to watch the sunset with the family. Crispy chips, yum fish with a nice thin batter and the beautiful ocean.

Ordered here before heading down to the beach, prices were not cheap and deals were OK but still pricey. The wait on Sunday evening was 25+ minutes. Fish was a thin fillet but batter was good although we didn't get any lemon wedge which is usually a given!

Cant complain about the quality at all. We had a fish n chips for two and it was very quick and yummy. Lots of chips and a great aioli mayonnaise! Just one thing was a little disappointing - prices on the leaflets and promotions on the billboards hanging on the shop did not really match the reality. But the quality we got was a good value for the price anyway. Will try it again before the end of our holiday!

Been a customer of this store for 7 years and wont ever return, tonight's meal was dreadful, thin pieces of fish and old and dirty oil, one bite and put it in the bin

Ordered over $100 worth of food to get over fried oily chips and fish and soggy squid. Do yourself a favour and order elsewhere.

Very expensive for the amount you get, A family amount of chips everywhere else equals a serving for 1 here.
Quality was average.

What a ripoff! The thinnest possible filet covered in so much batter that was just awful! And very expensive too! Will not go back ever again

We regularly eat here and enjoy Stans grilled Spanish mackerel which is always cooked to perfection and very generous in portion size. Very friendly service.

Best Squid and chips in a long time! Homemade aioli sauce is amazing. We will definitely be back.

It was the first time we tried this shop. Hooray, finally found a chef who can cook Snapper and chips. Good sized portions, tenderly cooked with an awesome non overpowering batter. Chips and Squid rings were great too.

First time ordering at this place and the fish was lovely, batter perfect, and a good portion of chips, was actually left full? , home made tartar sauce lovely to. Asked for a cold drink and they did that all correct, only mistake was I ordered a Coke no sugar and got a Coke can instead, but aside from that I'd order again

Fish and chips in nz are a lot better then Aussie fish and chips.this place was one of the best I've had North or the river. The snapper and shark fish was great and the food was really well presented. 10/10 it's hard to find a good takeaway these days. Cheers Stan!

Hands down the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had.

Batter is rock hard like eating a brick. Chips were old and soggy. Felt sick and regretted going here as I was told to go to Brighton Fish & Chips instead.

Avoid this place and look elsewhere.
