Flutes Restaurant reviews
58Beautiful location, friendly service, very allergen aware for coeliac/dairy intolerance, food amazing! Also catered for vegan/gd dessert.
The food was amazing, the place is beautiful, the toilet was really small, didn’t have paper to dry your hands on, but all good
Visited with AATKINGS coach trip. Short wine tasting and quality food in a lakeside environment. Relaxed lunchtime dining in a winery setting.
Excellent worth going for a delicious meal, staff fantastic. Wine a little expensive but when your fine dining you don't mind.
Group of 8 - 2 dish set menu
Our group all had the entree and main set menu.
The food portion was good and delicious. The wait staff are really attentive and friendly. Amazing view of the lake outside the restaurant.
Highly recommend. Flutes has really lifted its game. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely accommodating, polite and welcoming.
This establishment was recommended and we weren’t disappointed. Good meal a credit to the chef service excellent. Great value can recommend 5/5
This might just be one of the best set menus I’ve ever had. The food was very generous portion sizes, lots of variety to pick from on the menu, the service and food came out quickly and the food was full of flavour. My first time being here and what a delight! I’m shocked it wasn’t booked out on a Sunday because this will be on the top of my list the next time I visit the area.
As soon as you drive in the gardens are magical.
Very pretty scenery, and the restaurant is beautiful.
Food is impeccable.
Highly recommend a visit here for lunch.
The best underrated restaurant on Caves Road! Can't think of a better option for a succulent lunch! Never disappointed!
Excellent 3 course lunch. Delicious, well presented food, efficient, friendly service and scenic views that can't be beaten.
Setting is absolutely stunning. Outstanding 3 course menu with cheerful and efficient service. Highly recommend
Omg! What a exprience! Wonderful place food was amazing great portion (no nicking of to maccas after) ie big plate small meal not here $85 3 COURSE wine nice crips well reconded
My wife and I had a very enjoyable lunch experience here. Could not fault any thing, it is definitely a excellent venue.
The duck spring rolls were good. The chicken was also good. The service was great. My only issue was with dessert were I ordered the chocolate taste plate. The only thing that had something to do with chocolate was the chocolate moose. Please make the plate more chocolate themed next time.
Our new favourite restaurant!
Our party of 3 had the 3 course set menu and enjoyed every morsel. Best rocket and pear side salad we have ever had. So glad we ordered this side, it was wonderful!
Enjoyed the 2 bottles of really good wine too.
Will be back on our next trip 'down south' in February
Nestled away in some beautiful grounds, we went for lunch and had the $80 lunch menu.
Family of 4 with older teen-agers.
We had a 3 course meal and couldn't fault either the food, wine or service.
Normally I like to compare what we all order to see which dish was a standout. This meal had 4 outstanding dishes reach time.
We had marron, duck spring rolls, arancini for entree.
Main was salmon, beef cheek gnocchi, lamb and seafood pasta.
Each dish was cooked to perfection, the chefs creations were outstanding.
Dessert was a chocolate mousse, creme brulee, panna cotta, a vegan fruit crumble with sorbet.
Service was prompt, efficient and the arrival of the dishes sufficiently staggered.
I would definately recommend and would return.
I travelled from the NT with my husband to spend time with our daughter who loves Flutes restaurant but when we arrived to an empty restaurant (only one couple in the place) we were told we each had to order the 3 course meal at $70 a person and weren’t allowed to share meals. We asked if we could order 2 meals as my husband and I are elderly and couldn’t do justice to a 3 course meal but we were again told no. We asked if we could sit with our daughter while she ate her meal and again were told no as they were very busy today. THERE WAS NO ONE IN THE RESTAURANT AND NO ONE ARRIVED WHILE WE WENT TO THE CELLAR DOOR TO TASTE THE WINES. This is disgusting behaviour from this well known establishment. I’m so astounded at this attitude! I won’t be returning so be aware, no shared meals and if you aren’t eating, you can’t sit with family and friends.
I was extremely disappointed by today's experience.
I brought my elderly parents to have some lunch here who were visiting from the NT. I was going to get the set menu and they were going to get one to share. We were told that this couldn't happen and they couldn't come to sit at the table without buying a whole 3 course for each of them.
They don't eat very much but still wanted to try the food and were very disappointed that this couldn't have been allowed. What do you do with elderly patrons? There was no compassion from the waitress when she said they couldn't even accompany me with a drink (as they would have spent the set table price in drinks alone most likely)
We left very disappointed, especially as we drove out of the way to get here for lunch.
Thanks to Flutes Restaurant for having us today. A couple with young baby and pram in tow, previously turned away from 3 venues on a Saturday for lunch because the venues were full and couldn't fit us in. By 2pm feeling very hungry, we are so glad Flutes had room for us. $65 set menu and the desserts of the sticky date and Bailey's creme brulee were outstanding. View was beautiful too:)
