Best beef and stout pie ever combined with very friendly and attentive service made it a stand out experience.

Best steak (Rib Eye) I have had in about 20 years. Attentive service and friendly atmosphere. We also had the beef rib which fell of the bone and was delicious! The reds by the glass match the steak dishes perfectly.

Do yourself a favour and book a table in the restaurant section for the dry-aged steak. I've tried every different cut of steak over the years and they are all sensational. I would say their steak is just as good if not better than a lot of the "fancier" restaurants out there
Make sure you visit on an empty stomach too!

Very average meal, nice cold beer. Steak was well done on one end, medium the other, mushroom sauce was very average. Was told the kitchen couldn't do dessert, as it was closing, why book us in?

Disappointing after having a great steak at a previous meal there.

One of the best value for money steaks in Perth! Definitely worth the hype of "One of the Best Steaks in WA" title!

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is brilliant. Since 1998 they have been serving up cold brew and delicious meals.

Hard to tell what's the food like, cause we didn't even get a chance to spend money there. Ring up at 4.30 try to book a table, lady on the phone told me they don't take bookings over phone call, just go around and if they have table available they'll sit us down. Drove 30 minutes to the restaurant, got told we need a booking. Confront the lady about what she said on the phone, she said I told you you can book online. I said that's not what you said on they phone, and you never mentioned about onlinebooking. She said she said the same thing so many times a day, she won't make these mistake, basically told me that I was lying in front of my friends! Wow! Good on you! So we left and gone next door, had a wonderful meal! Not sure other people would be happy with this type of attitude, but me and my friends will certainly never even think of going there again!

Food was great but being told we couldn't have a sweet or coffee after our meal because of the strict 90 mins eating time was disappointing, especially seeing our waitress was late taking our order.

Fabulous food prepared and presented by a talented kitchen crew. Front of house is next level, professional and organized. Well worth a visit.

Service is always great here and the food too. You can only order the steak if you are dining in the restaurant which is quite small so I would recommend booking in advance. We were unlucky enough to be the only couple surrounded by groups which made the restaurant very loud but the staff were very accommodating, thank u very much. Will definitely be back. There is also seating at the back with bigger tables if the front beer garden is full.

Food was tasty. The only comment would be after making such a note about getting their steaks rare to rare medium and I ordered rare medium it cam out medium to well.
Only criticism I have.

Went here last week after not. Going for years. Food is great. Drinks not over priced, staff friendly, locals who drink there are friendly and encouraging and we'll. I mean who can bypass the fact that the hippy club is just around the corner!?

Small, noisy, crowded and I love this place. The staff the food the Guinness the atmosphere all tops. The price Is excellent for such a good steakhouse. Have been many times and will go many more.

We walked right in and got a table, which is rare as the bar is small and usually very busy. We decided to order food. The dining area was full so we went to order bar side food. We were told they wernt taking any orders from the bar side as they were busy and come back in 15 minutes. We waited 15 minutes and went to order again, we were then told to come back in 25 minutes. It was now 8 o'clock at night. We spoke to another staff member who went and spoke to the kitchen, they said that they would take our order but we wouldn't be getting it for at least 45 minutes. Not sure what was going on as the place was no where near as busy as I have seen it before and never had any problems getting a meal. We were out for dinner with family as it was my partners birthday. Ruined the night for all and we ended up getting McDonalds on the way home.

Would of been nice to have a drink there, but unfortunately we stood at the bar for 10 minutes waiting to be served, whilst the bar tender with the beard kept serving his friends who called him from their seats… and kept serving them first. We walked out, easier to get drinks at the Leederville Hotel!

Beef fillet had a beautiful char crust on the outside and beautifully tender slicing through it. Great flavour and so tender, I savour every bite! Their steaks never disappoint! Consistently perfect every time!

The cooks in the kitchen definitely know what they are doing, perfectly seasoned rib eye steak that was cooked as requested and well rested with lovely brocollini. Chicken and leek pie came with perfect mash potatoes, buttery puff pastry and was also well seasoned.
Beautiful winter hearty dinner to warm the soul.

Went there with my wife Saturday night after we had been at a restaurant for a quiet drink before heading home. 11.25pm doorman told us no entry as they close at 12am. Explained they have a some weird lockout rule. We were well dressed, sober and mature which was their clientele. Plenty of time for 1 drink. Anyway, pathetic for a Saturday night. Went elsewhere and got served with a smile. Don't bother.

Foods is always good especially the steak. My only concern is that recently there seems to be a lot of salt used in the steaks the chips and even the mushrooms. Many people I know who are regulars have also noticed this.

Awesome Steak, both cooked perfect (1x MR 1 x MW) definitely in my top 3 places for a steak in Perth. Beer was cold, staff friendly.not much else ya need.
