Europcar Perth Fremantle

Unacceptable - we booked an executive sedan on paper - a Toyota Camry. Upon booking, we were confirmed for a VW Passat or similar. Upon arrival for car collection, we were offered a Kia Cerato, which has a shorter wheelbase compared to either a Camry or Passat.

Upon complaining, we were offered an “upgrade” to a MG compact SUV, which has an even shorter wheelbase than the Kia Cerato - so in practice, we paid for a CamryPassat but were forced to accept an MG compact SUV.

The only explanation given to us is that they do not have what we booked online available. Shocking.

This is extremely disappointing and I do not recommend renting from Europace Perth Fremantle.

The worst-ever car hiring agency. They treat customers so badly. Very rude staff and a lot of lies. You are forced to sign many agreements that are against you and they try to grab more money from you. The prices the Europcar advertises don't include many things. And when you return your car they try to charge you more for anything. Your deposit is not returned the same day you return the car. It is the worst car hire company I have ever experienced and the employees are a bunch of grifters.

Team at Fremantle Europcar is always friendly and welcoming. Easy to deal and has a range of different options when it comes to vehicles. Highly recommend.

The personnel at the pick-up/derop-off point were very professional and helpful. Everything was explained to me nicely and in detail. The car was ready to be picked up at the time scheduled.

We have hired cars in almost every state. Eurocar was by far the most unprofessional and disgusting service we have ever recieved. Our car (that was hired specifically to drive children around in) was disgusting. Recked of cigarette smoke, damage internally and externally but not noted on the initial paper work. We rang them to check that we wouldn't be responsible and they reassured us we wouldn't. On returning the car they claimed that we damaged the sunscreen. The damage on the windscreen was the kind of damage that would've occurred on dirt roads or over freeways driving past large trucks. The car was plated with Vic rego plates so clearly had crossed the Nullabor. We drove around Freemantle with 3 children in the back. When speaking to a friend in the travel industry and mentioning our experience she named the company and said she heard this a lot about eurocr. Be warned. Wish we had.

Friendly staff, car I ended up with was lovely and clean and great on petrol. Would recommend Europcar in Fremantle

Excellent service from start to finish and very happy with the upgraded vehicle we were given.

Amazing customer service from the staff there. They went above and beyond to help me get on the road and even upgraded me to a larger vehicle for my car seats.

5 minutes late to arrive on Sunday, and I missed my truck hire! 15 minute courtesy call would have been top service

AVOID THIS PLACE!
Do not recommend this rental company - had a small damage to one of their vehicle - without insurance and that's my fault - but managed to charge me more than 3000$ for the repair and threatened me to call debt collectors when I requested to get another quote from another mechanic. Clearly just a business that do not care about their customer and the local community. They are eager of making money at all cost!

Great service and cars are kept in great condition. They lose a star however because of their archaic freezing money policy. They froze $1000 for rental fee and bond. And then charged me $500 extra rental fee to then unfreeze the $1000 in 5 business days. Just keep this in mind when you book with them. Ask to pay your rental fee separate to them freezing bond money.two different transactions.

This was the best car rental experience we have ever had! Anywhere! Kara and her team are so obliging and professional, they were a pleasure to deal with. The car was great. Very clean and lovely to drive.

This is the first and last time I would rent from here.

Totally inflexible in the payment and they forced a $500 deposit from me. Money was deducted immediately but not refunded to me immediately when I returned the car.

They wanted to charge me for a small scratch that was not caused by me. It was not even very noticeable.

The whole experience has been really disappointing. Would advise anyone not to rent from them.

Do not use the Fremantle depot not sure about others? They will do there best to fool you into paying for a windscreen (saying pin hole marks etc) and believe we were not the only ones, total scam, the woman walked straight out on the return of the vehicle and it was staged knew exactly where to go, trust me don’t even bother! To do this to people is disgusting, l have nothing nice to say about this depot only don’t go.l did notice you have moved maybe there’s a reason for that too? Also the car was only driven on the road and parked up in a garage. Beware!

Had a wonderful experience hiring from Europcar in Fremantle. The team were incredibly friendly and helpful and made the process very easy! Hired a great little car for a week. Car was spotless and drove fantastically.

Beware of extra/hidden charges.
I have hired from this place for years when it was Thrifty, always quick and easy. Now it's Europcar. Slower service, way more difficult to book. So many extra hidden charges but the big disappointment for me was fuelling up 2 streets away (literally) to full tank and being stung $26 to refuel. There's no way I could've used that much fuel from Clontarf Rd to South Street. Rang up to query the invoice and other charges and was passed on to the store who hasn't bothered to return my call. Next time I'll stick to Thrifty. Such a shame this place changed ownership. Thirty here has serviced the community well for a long time. Not a fan of Europcar at all.

Didn't get what I paid for vehicle provied very ordinary no enhanced safety features rattling on drivers side most of the time and very indifferent staff
Much better service from same company in QLD. Be very aware what is offered and what you get. Won't use them again.

Always film the vehicle before you take it and after you return it. Also film yourself putting the keys into the returns box if nobody is there or they'll charge you another day of rental by default. Still had to chase up with a p*ss poor customer service team to get my proper refund. Won't be going back.
