39 Close to downtown which is nice but super slow service (35 min wait to get served), one person working the desk and also pulling the cars up with 6 customers in line. I usually rent from the Osborne park location but I thought this might be quicker as it’s closer to my home but it ended up being much slower than taking the train to Osborne park, I was wrong. On the good side the guy working the desk was nice, they just need to hire 1-2 more people.
Update for owner reply. I am impressed with the speed you replied to my review, it’s ironic that it took about as long for you to respond as I waited in line to get served, if you had that commitment to serving customers this would be a much different review. PS. The link you sent just takes you to the Europcar home page and not to a feedback page.
The car hire itself was fine. BUT I selected pay at pick up and then they debited my card before I arrived which was a pain because I had intended to use a separate card. They included a security bond which seemed unnecessary given that I had selected the zero excess insurance. The worst is that, like other people, I was BILLED TWICE. I am waiting for reimbursement of over $1000. I do not understand why it takes so long to reimburse when debits are immediate. I have not had this issue with other companies, incuding ones that put security holds on cards, so Europcar really need to re-evaluate their financial procedures. It seems greedy to me. Customer service was not helpful at all. Let's hope my money is returned.
Have used Europcar West Perth many times and have received the most outstanding service each and every time!
Welcoming, proficient and very knowledgeable staff. All team members have provided outstanding service, particularly Theresa, who has always been so helpful and an absolute delight to deal with.
The vehicles are new, clean and meticulously well maintained.
Highly recommend this Europcar branch!
This location never answers the phone or calls back if a voicemail is left. When I say never, I mean NEVER. You can call continuously at any time during the day, day after day, week after week, month after month and they never answer the phone. Never. Ever.
Very good experience overall for someone that is an occasional hirer
Pros - I booked a 4wd Ford Ranger and very pleasantly surprised it was a brand new Wildtrak version, I was the first driver. Had the Ranger for 3 days and approx 500ks. Wonderful driver experience with a new car. Staff were very friendly and efficient during pick up and drop off.
Cons - additional minors charges to the overall day rate, I suppose all car hire companies do this but the extra 20-30 bucks for various miscellaneous fees is annoying. Also only a small thing but the roller cover on the Ute tub didn't work from the key controller, upon return the staff explained they checked the other new Ute's and it was only this one that was a not working.
Overall a great experience with a new vehicle, not quite perfect hence 4 outa 5. Will definitely use Europe car again.

Rip off merchants trying to get me to pay for road side assistance. Turned out their mechanics hadn't tightened leads to battery terminal properly causing positive lead to jump off. When I rang to say something wrong with car they said use road side assistance at no charge to me.nice one.

Horrendous customer service! We returned the car early but the staff was still unhappy and checked the car thoroughly and made a big fuss about a small scratch that was not even caused by us and insisted us to sign a report on it.
The $500 deposit was not returned to us yet which we were assured that it's unrelated to the incident. Beware! Do not book from them!
Terrible! I have rented so many cars before and this is the first time. They checked in scrutiny and wants to charge me for a small scratch?

I have yet to get back my $500 deposit I placed with them. They took my deposit really fast within a day though.
BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK! Remember to bubble wrap your car if you were to book from them.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and vehicle was in good condition. BUT BE AWARE. When hiring a vehicle that they not only block the vehicle cost and a bond, but they also take the hire fee in another charge on return of the vehicle. Was almost $1000 to hire a truck for 1 day. Yes $700+ will be returned but may take 7-12 days but they can take their fee instantly. Head office needs to do something about this.
I booked a van to move house and my booking was confirmed and accepted by Europcar this morning. I received a call this afternoon (hours after receiving the confirmation email which included the contract) informing me that my booking had been cancelled because someone wished to extend their pre-existing rental period beyond the date of my booking. I am gobsmacked that this is allowable as part of Europcar’s rental policy. I had used this confirmation to arrange for the rest of my belongings to be moved on that date, and now I have to cancel all of it and start again. This is such a disappointing way to treat a customer, not to mention a ridiculous way to manage a booking system. Do not engage with this company if you’re on any sort of schedule whatsoever.
Fantastic, we rang on a sunday morning, by lunch we had a car ready for us. We were 30 minutes late taking the car back but the lovely Rebecca waved the extra fees for us, thank you Rebecca we appreciate everything you did for us helping us with were we had to travel so quick and smooth. Europcars would definitely be dealing with again. Top 5 for sure!
Amazing customer service from Rebecca who made the entire process smooth and easy. She also looked after be after my car insurance screwed up my car reservation. Cant give 6 stars so I'll have to leave 5.
Got to deal with the lovely Rebeca Rodrigues this morning, absolute delight, made the process exceptionally easy, gave me excellent service and was just all round easy to deal with.hopefully I get to deal with her again when I return the vehicle:)
Don't even think about booking a car here. It took an hour to receive an reserved car. And after we handed the car back in good condition, they wanted us to pay a fee of 430 dollard for an accident we never caused. That even happened after three month after we gave the car back! Now 1.5 years later they want to charge us again with a lot of fees and a different sum! Stay away and take a good and professional company!
