The waitress is so rude and arrogant that She treats her customers like a bunch of Refugees or Slaves, even a boss wouldn't treat his or her own employees workers that way Never recommend or come back to this place- No matter how good the food was plus it's Overpriced

Had lunch there last Sunday 23rd and found the food to be very average I had the Burgermeister and the meat patties were over salted, the bun was cut so badly on the bottom I could not lift it and it all fell out, I also ordered the sticky date pudding and ice cream, which was very dry inside, the other parties in our group felt some of the food was okay and others not, so for what they charge it is not good value. They were very busy and service were run off their feet. Also the meals took a long time to come out.

Has a great deal for bus groups, in which the pre-payment goes towards share platters of food as well as drink vouchers per guest. The platters were huge and delivered promptly, really happy with the value! Staff were also very friendly and accommodating.

We have been eating at Elmar's many times, may be once every 6-12 months, food is still good. Today, we orders a Elmar's platter that can fill up 4 adults easily for $129.

I am not a beer drinker so cannot comment on their home brewed beer.

Nice place to attend for casual lunch or dinner or functions.

Booked an event for 30 people for my 40th birthday, only to find out days before that they had also booked another event that meant we would be kicked out after a couple of hours. Do not book this place for events. Will definitely be spreading the word to avoid.

Went to this place for lunch and had the Elmar's Bratwurst Plate Trio. Three different types of sausages and mash. Tasted good. Was about 36 dollars.

The place is good for small kids. There is a large grassed area at the back and a small playground.

Went for lunch and was sadly very disappointed with the quality of the food. Ordered the schnitzel and was horribly thin and dry, the starter platter was underwhelming and of questionable quality. The Steak sandwich was the best thing ordered but still nothing to write home about. Sadly I can not recommend.

We went to Elmar's in the valley for a friends birthday. We had called and booked a few days in advance and requested an outdoors table. On arrival we were shown to a table in the restaurant and told we couldn't sit outside because the area was full. On inspection the outdoor space was half empty, the Maître D was very rude in her response when I queried why we didn't get the table we had called and booked in advance. The only explanation we were offered was that the Outdoors booking should have never been taken in the first place! "OK, but you took the booking and its written in the book as outdoors", she became irate with us! Luckly one of one of her colleagues intervened to calm her down, he then shuffled around a few things and there you go, seating for the 20 people outside as requested. We were about to walk out.

Saving grace was that the food was great (a little too salty) but the service we got from the young guy that intervened was excellent.

Its a good place but the Maître D should retire, too cranky and rude to be in hospitality.

The basic principle of a Restaurant Business IS Manners (/Cust. Sevic's) and IF this REST.doesn't even have THat = "Time will Tell Regardless the F00D":)

Foods here is always good, service is good. Great place for family or couples. Price is reasonable and servings are pretty big.

Always there for a birthday celebration, this time was for my sister and always get a share plate with my dad. Hands down the best family venue when you have kids that need to constantly need to run. Never disappoints, heaps of room for everyone

A family oriented Bayern beer restaurant. Enjoyed some German delicacy like Schnitzel, Slow cooked pork and of course taps on hot summer day. The beer tastes like true German style.

Went to Elmars with my family last weekend, they had something for everyone in my family which was so convenient, pork shank for dad (which he loved!) and spicy chicken feta salad for Mum. My gluten free sister loved the beef knackwurst, there was no complaints with our food, overall they had an amazing menu and great cocktails!

Staff were nice, unfortunately the food was another story. Considering the location my ‘seasonal vegetables’ were McCain steam fresh microwaveables, the pork schnitzel was thin and looked and tasted like was from a coles deli - $32 was a joke to pay for the meal.
My partners $45 pork shank looked and tasted exactly like corned beef and everything on the plate was sloppy and warm. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes.
I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place when there are so many other restaurants offering more fresh, modern and quality food.

Great place to have a beer or two and eat some delicious food. Would definitely recommend the feast platter!

Great selection of German beer and food. Great for kids as well. Great for function and family dinning.

Elmar's has a great brew. The food is amazing. The staff are very friendly. Would recommend to anyone.

Absolutley loved our lunch on Saturday at Elmars. We were invited to a birthday and after reading some not so good reviews I was a bit hesitant what to expect.
Great atmosphere, amazing beer and food
(I had the Schnitzel and it was as good as in Germany and hubby had the Shank which was incredible) and very helpful staff organising more seating and making the day as pleasant as it was. We will be back soon
