EAST Cafe & Vietnamese Bistro reviews
38Vietnamese food done badly, also the girl Imwith the coloured hair needs to pull her head, when asked a polite question. Don't respond like a drop kick. You're in hospitality act respectful
Was with a friend who never received their meal, after 30mins waiting asked where it was.
The cashier responded with sarcasm, rudeness and was unapologetic.
Friend left with a stale roll instead of the soup he ordered.
*EDIT*
Thanks for the quick response, but I'll pass on entering that establishment again.
I could excuse a mistake, but the staff attitude makes me think that they can't be trusted, especially with food safety.
The food was off and the owner didn't care at al! After I got home I realized that I had got food poisoning. When I came back and told the lady owner she didn't offer me a refund but instead she said everyone else is fine. Not a good place to eat at all.
Went for the first time today thought i would give it a try, ordered Chicken banh mi and got Beef instead. I ordered takeaway which i took back to my workplace where i had a bite and realised its not chicken. Called them and asked for a refund went back all the way to the store and they gave me a refund (wrong amount). Very very bad experience killed my appetite and my break time was all wasted. Thanks alot
(I was not offered any replacement or drink thats a really big lie. The staff should repeat the order after taking, in my religion we don't eat beef and because of their mistake i ate it for first time, for you its a till mistake. If he really meant about the replacement he should have prepared the correct order before i arrived to the store to take the refund and it took me 10 mins to arrive and thats plenty of time to prepare a roll but no it wasn't made and they just gave me the refund which wasn't even correct and all he said was sorry we were very busy today and never offered free replacement so please don't lie.)
Bought a Ham and cheese croissant. Should have really checked it before walking to the office.
How annoying
I used to regularly go to East Bistro for lunch at least 3 times a week because i work in the city and your food is nice.until i was being served by this girl (9/12/19) who was rude - she didnt even say anything to me when she took my order or gave my money change back after giving cash. It was extremely awkward.
Everyone has bad days i thought, so i came back again because i'm a regular lunch customer there and i like giving people the benefit of the doubt.but this time another girl who served me took my bank card transactions and as i was waiting for the card to be approved and i nicely requested a print out receipt.she just left.without saying a word.she didnt even come back! I had to ask the guy who was nice enough to finish the transaction and order.
As a regular lunch customer there, i'm going to miss your pho and your self-service lunch boxes.but i lately being having bad customer services and vibes from the staff that it left me with a bitter taste.: (
Foods great.service unpredictable, sad to say.
Good coffee, great food.sadly. 5/5 of the times I've been there, always the last person to receive their coffee and food, whilst watching others get theirs who came after. Every time I think about giving East another chance the same thing happens, is it my face?: (
Food was served quite promptly but my drink took a while. After finishing my meal, and upon asking couple of times, then was I made known that the Viet hot coffee had to take 15-20mins to prepare. By which time I have already been in the restaurant for almost 40mins. (Staff were working their fastest but the lunch crowd just keep coming)
Meal was quite nice but portion can be bigger.
The pho broth was good buuuut they added the hoisin sauce in the soup, making it salty and the rice noodles was still chewy and uncooked.
Great food but the customer service is pretty poor. Really rude checkout operator, even when they messed up my order there was no apology or politeness, just very passive aggressive and rude. I won't be rushing back.
Great vietnamese noodles. Waited 7-8mins, supposed to be lunch thingy.but they accommodated, hence have to wait a little longer that's all. Nonetheless, great meal, hot soup on a cold day - priceless
Great little lunch spot. Decent prices and good food.
Stopped in here for a mod work work lunch. Ordered some grilled pork and rice. The food was very tasty. The highlight with the soup/broth. Simple, yet really full of flavour. I will be sure to try the pho next time I’m there.
I will go back.
A decent place to get a sandwich for lunch. My egg mayo was tasty and could have been even better.
I would have liked more egg in the sandwich, rather than just floating on top of lots of lettuce.
A cold morning to start with a beautiful bowl of pho? Fantastic place and the price incredible. Served by very nice staff and a lady at the front counter
Hopefully everyone can be as respectful
Thankyou for my meal!
War mein bevorzugtes Frühstücklokal in Perth. Selbstgemachtes Müsli und Joghurt besonders hervorzuheben.
Tried a few of their menu for lunch, loving them so far… banh mi, pho… fast service too. Note the long queue during peak hours
This is an edited review. After a negative experience on my first visit, the owner got in touch to apologise and they hoped I'd come a second time - much appreciated! I really enjoyed the pho tai and I'm keen to try the rice paper rolls next. A great cafe with very dedicated staff. Service on both occasions was quick too!
Consistently good. Wide selection of food and drink. They offer rolls (~$7.50), juices and smoothies, coffee, plus a variety of viet dishes around the $11 mark. Try the viet ice coffee (condensed milk - yum but very sweet!).
Great vegan and vegetarian options, I love the pho chay and bun dau hu. The ca phe (vietnamese coffee) is also *chefs kiss*
They make absolutely delicious vegetable omelette. And I think I’ve found my go to place for omelette.
Thank you and pls keep it up.
