EAST Cafe & Vietnamese Bistro

Went for the first time today thought i would give it a try, ordered Chicken banh mi and got Beef instead. I ordered takeaway which i took back to my workplace where i had a bite and realised its not chicken. Called them and asked for a refund went back all the way to the store and they gave me a refund (wrong amount). Very very bad experience killed my appetite and my break time was all wasted. Thanks alot

(I was not offered any replacement or drink thats a really big lie. The staff should repeat the order after taking, in my religion we don't eat beef and because of their mistake i ate it for first time, for you its a till mistake. If he really meant about the replacement he should have prepared the correct order before i arrived to the store to take the refund and it took me 10 mins to arrive and thats plenty of time to prepare a roll but no it wasn't made and they just gave me the refund which wasn't even correct and all he said was sorry we were very busy today and never offered free replacement so please don't lie.)

This is an edited review. After a negative experience on my first visit, the owner got in touch to apologise and they hoped I'd come a second time - much appreciated! I really enjoyed the pho tai and I'm keen to try the rice paper rolls next. A great cafe with very dedicated staff. Service on both occasions was quick too!

I really like this place, when ever I have a hospital appointment I treat myself to a chai latte and a bah mi Always a relaxed atmosphere and chill music Thank you

Love this place. It's busy at lunchtime so either go later or order ahead if you have limited time.

Delicious lunch menu! The Bo Kho was super tasty, and spicier than I've ever had it at other places but good. The toasted baguette was good with it too. Would also recommend the Vietnamese iced coffee!

I have had a great experience at this restaurant, the food is marvelous and the customer service here is great and the staffs are patient and passion. Should try!

Finest place for brekky or lunch. Just went to get lunch To Go and that green curry chicken with rice at $10, never had that delicious takeaway in my life. Staff at the counter wearing 'protect trans kid' was so polite (sorry couldn't catch the name). Other staff were also frienly. Loved this place, i would recommend 10/10.will come for brekky next time

Great food but the customer service is pretty poor. Really rude checkout operator, even when they messed up my order there was no apology or politeness, just very passive aggressive and rude. I won't be rushing back.

Bahn mi 9/10 Viet coffee 10/10, occasionally they have pieces of fried chicken at lunch, get some if you see it. It's 12/10

Kirby makes one of the best coffees in the city. Reasonably priced and can also recommend the food for sit down and takeaway options. I walk two extra blocks just to go there.

Absolutely fantastic experience with EAST Cafe catering for our wedding ceremony. Not only DELICIOUS but the team provided prompt communication and an excellent price to fit our budget. We ordered 200 fresh spring rolls to be served at our wedding. They were able to organise pickup for Saturday morning and accommodated last minute changes. On pickup the spring rolls were presented nicely in large catering boxes with plenty of dipping sauce. These spring rolls are the BEST in Perth. They were also Gluten/Lactose free and Vegan - which suited all our guests dietary requirements. Would highly recommend their catering services. Thank you for making my day hassle free!

I used to regularly go to East Bistro for lunch at least 3 times a week because i work in the city and your food is nice.until i was being served by this girl (9/12/19) who was rude - she didnt even say anything to me when she took my order or gave my money change back after giving cash. It was extremely awkward.

Everyone has bad days i thought, so i came back again because i'm a regular lunch customer there and i like giving people the benefit of the doubt.but this time another girl who served me took my bank card transactions and as i was waiting for the card to be approved and i nicely requested a print out receipt.she just left.without saying a word.she didnt even come back! I had to ask the guy who was nice enough to finish the transaction and order.

As a regular lunch customer there, i'm going to miss your pho and your self-service lunch boxes.but i lately being having bad customer services and vibes from the staff that it left me with a bitter taste.: (

Good coffee, great food.sadly. 5/5 of the times I've been there, always the last person to receive their coffee and food, whilst watching others get theirs who came after. Every time I think about giving East another chance the same thing happens, is it my face?: (

How annoying

Consistently good. Wide selection of food and drink. They offer rolls (~$7.50), juices and smoothies, coffee, plus a variety of viet dishes around the $11 mark. Try the viet ice coffee (condensed milk - yum but very sweet!).
